  1. Was working at the Cardiff game tonight. Atmosphere was absolutely insane. Well done to CCFC.
  2. Not at all. Don't know how you can leave our best defender and best attacking midfielder out and say its our strongest 4-3-3.
  3. The Benzema to Arsenal rumours also included that Real will go after Suarez as his replacement.
  4. So, rumours Arsenal are after Benzema. Now that's a deal I'd love to hijack. Benzema would be a great alternative to Rooney.
  5. People need to understand that those that are not really as supportive of this transfer as others are are not actually saying Willian is a bad player. I've made my concerns known but it doesn't mean I think Willian is rubbish. I actually rate him as a player - it's the ramifications surrounding the signing that's bothering me. No one actually dislikes the player - the concern is aimed at the actual transfer. You don't need to explain to us that he's a good player.
  6. This could work very well actually.EDIT: Here's my XI... Cech Moses - Ba - Lukaku - Schurrle Oscar - KDB Willian - Mata - Hazard Torres
  7. Eto'o for £2m is a bargain depending if his wages will be alright. I like this but I think we're still waiting to see if Rooney will come before we make this deal official.
  8. People are actually just mainly discussing how good his goal was and how ironic it is that we're actually looking for a striker of his type. Are we not allowed to do so?
  9. I don't think Eto'o will actually massively improve our strike force like Rooney would but what he will offer is a different type of striker we don't have.
  10. I've closely followed Sturridge since he was around 16/17 and believe me, he definitely has the capabilities to be constantly dropping deep. Watch the game against Villa actually, even his goal you'll see he isn't the furthest forward player when he receives the ball. I actually think he's best as a second striker, behind a main striker because his link up play is and always has been good, but he has the potential to be a more complete striker as he matures. Sturridge is in the mould of those players and that will be more evident as he develops and matures. I personally think that after Rooney Wilshere and maybe Carrick he's probably the biggest English talent out there atm.
  11. Sturridge has always had the ability to link up, move well into channels and hold up the ball with his great feet. He's more than just a poacher.
  12. If we kept Sturridge I don't think we would've been after Rooney right now. Fits the profile of the type of striker Jose's trying to bring in tbh. Wish we gave him a new contract instead of signing Ba. He'll have a good season, think he'll score around 20 PL goals.
  13. That's not what he said - he said that Chelsea have a policy of not signing over 30 player for more than a year's contract.
  14. It's quite funny how suddenly KDB is out of everyone's first team XI now.
  15. You're right, especially since his Shakhtar days... But to call him a pure right winger is wrong.
  16. Yeah, those would've made a lot more sense. I don't get the deal either but apparently you're not allowed to complain about it because Mourinho's approved it.
  17. Willian isn't even a pure RW. He's played far more at LW and AM than at RW. To call him a pure RW is like calling Hazard a pure RW.
  18. Will you jump off an airplane without a parachute just because Mourinho said you should? Believe me, I have faith in Mourinho. Doesn't mean I have to blindly agree with everything he does. Think for yourself.
  19. ...or people just watch football?
  20. What so hang on, we aren't allowed to voice our opinions on whatever is happening regarding Chelsea? Or more specifically, we aren't allowed to say anything if we disagree with Jose? Fantastic. Let me deregister myself from the forums.
  21. Did we need to sign him though? Were we weak in the attacking midfield area? Answer those questions, and then you'll see it isn't ridiculous to say that there really isn't a need for Willian as things stand now. Of course, there are a few more days left in the transfer window and things could change but as things stand right now it doesn't look promising in terms of squad make up.
  22. So we must blindly follow anything Mourinho says/does? This is ridiculous.
