The possible 4-3-3 question needs answering
The Skipper replied to hjperdeath's topic in Chelsea Articles
It's either Cesc or Baker IMO, they are quite similar. -
Better captain than Gerrard still. I find it ludicrous how Gerrard managed to escape criticism for his terrible World Cup performances, like no blame was attached to him at all, whereas Rooney who was okayish got so much flack. Will never understand the love the media have for this guy. Jamie Redknapp (Liverpool bias I know but still) for example said he's 100% the best English midfielder of his generation, better than Scholes, Lampard etc... It's ridiculous.

There's so much wrong with this post that there isn't much point arguing it to be honest. I'm just going to point out what's wrong with it: You went from saying Mourinho wouldn't sign Griezmann (which was the whole premise of the argument) to "He might sign Griezmann but he would give more time to Schurlle (sic) or Willian." The conundrum that Mourinho will play Willian over Griezmann if we did sign him, ignoring that Willian is technically better than Griezmann - but I guess Mourinho only chooses technically inferior players to start right? You are bringing up the Shevchenko transfer from nearly a decade ago to justify that Roman still makes the signings here and that Mourinho somehow doesn't have input in the transfers at all - completely ignoring the fact that Jose made the decision to sell a fan favourite like Mata, or even someone like Luiz. Apparently Ozil never played in the Classicos (lol). He sold Robben because Robben wanted to go, not because Mourinho wanted to sell him. Again, apparently Mourinho has never had technical players in his side and coaches his team like a rugby manager would; even if we ignore the current team he's managing which will include players like Hazard, Fabregas, Willian, Oscar etc. Get over yourself, you sound like a bloody Arse/Man Utd/Pool fan. Mourinho doesn't play 'attractive football' (whatever that might mean) even though his 2012 Real Madrid side hold the record for most goals scored and points attained in La Liga.Probably won't reply if you do reply so enjoy the rest of your day.

Do you seriously think Mourinho signed Fabregas just to irritate Arsene Wenger? Wow. Do you legitimately think Mourinho spent £27m on a player because he wanted Arsenal fans to be annoyed and not because that player would be an important part of his plans? I think you're the one that needs to look at Mourinho's transfers... This notion that he only signs "powerful" players that aren't too technical is an absolute myth. Mourinho has signed players like Ozil, Modric, Sneijder, Robben, Di Maria, Willian etc. He likes his smaller, technical players, and he has space for them in his team if they're the right player. In fact, Griezmann is more of a 'runner' than a 'dribble' player either way... If you will, he operates similarly to how Schurrle does. Griezmann has pretty good technical skills but he is all about making the right runs and finding the right spaces to attack. He has pretty good work rate in general, tracks his man pretty well and is pretty much a team player. All traits Mourinho likes in his attackers. Not saying that we will sign Griezmann or anything, but your notion that Mourinho doesn't sign a player unless he can tackle or is big and muscular is completely and utterly false. EDIT: In fact, I'm pretty sure Mourinho tried to sign Fabregas for his Madrid team.

£16m for Hummels? Can't believe that rumour even picked up steam.
-
Does Fabregas have a fantastic tackle on him then? Or is he tall and muscular?
-
I physically can't wait for Fabregas to be proving these sort of deep through balls to the likes of Schurrle and Costa. Phenomenal.
-
For some reason it really irks me when people say Felipe Luis instead of Filipe Luis...
-
A few Arsenal fans on Twitter saying Sanchez will be their Aguero...

Joining.

Costa AND Schurrle.

The possible 4-3-3 question needs answering

^ a 4-2-3-1 doesn't always have to have a double pivot in there. I'd say we played 4-2-3-1 last season rather with a single pivot - i.e. Matic usually sitting deep to shield the back four and the 2nd midfielder joining the attacking process of the situation at the time. Sure, Oscar came back a lot to retrieve the ball but that had more to do with us not having someone who could spread play from deep. The 4-2-3-1 is a permutation of the 4-3-3 anyway so there will always be similarities. Also regarding switching wingers. There's no reason why either wingers won't be able to know either's role, so it definitely is a possibility, I wouldn't write it off like that. Nothing's stopping Schurrle from knowing Hazard's tactical implementations and vice versa. -
I really find it outstanding how none of the western media are reporting this as well as they should/could...

Costa, Lukaku, Drogba. So much better than Torres, Eto'o, Ba. So much.
-
Unlikely, seeing as Omeruo is going out on loan. If Zouma goes out on loan we're definitely buying a new CB.
-
What if they don't get injured for a long spell? The probability of both being out for a long spell is very, very low.
-
Luis, Ake, Terry, Zouma, Ivanovic, Cahill, Azpilicueta. 7 defenders is fine.
-
Louis Van Gaal just said the PL is the strongest league in the world too. So it isn't just Mourinho.
-
This has been said countless and countless of times... You really can't compare City's situation to our own because they almost always play with two strikers.
-
That's why I say the rules aren't as sure set as '36 months'. You also have 'completed three full seasons' under there which Lukaku has. I wish the FA would clarify it a bit more but there is enough ambiguity in that rule for Romelu to be considered as a HG player.
-
I wish. Just not going to happen though unfortunately. In fact, I don't even want him to pollute the youth team with sulky attitude, so let's not even go there. We'll just have to ride these last two years out regarding Torres.
-
He's barely going to play, if Torres is here still he'll probably even behind him in the pecking order. He'll be more than of a coach than anything. If he was coming back as merely a player I'd understand the unrest but he'll barely play, if not at all.
-
Thank you. @CHOULO19, the rules here are ambiguous enough to allow Lukaku to be considered as a HG talent.
-
Either way we'll see after this transfer window. Either he'll still count as an u21 or he'll be on the home grown list for the season coming up.
