£30m would be the maximum I would go for him and £40m is a massive, massive stretch but if the club believe he's a must I'd be good with this. He has massive potential.

PSV won the league by 17 points, there was a clear difference of quality between both teams this season (and I'm saying this as an Ajax fan). Not even debatable. Their team was massively better and had a lot more talents in there than Ajax did. Of course now that it looks like they're losing two of their best players (Memphis already gone and Wijnaldum on the way out) they're a bit weaker, but last season they were by far the best team in the Eredivisie. Ajax weren't close. Even without Memphis PSV have the better team by quite a bit as it stands (this is without them re-spending the Memphis money).

So you want us to spend £20/£30m each on a couple of squad players?

I'm not disputing that point at all. I highly doubt Monaco will make the quarter final again too. My point is that the level at PSV is a lot higher than the rest of the division - if Charly goes there and is a starter, and has a season like Memphis did then that would be great for his development. Him starting every game at Monaco would be even harder than trying to break through at PSV for someone that has never played senior football at all! PSV is a very good team for him whether you rate the Dutch league or not.

None of those guys would start for us/improve the XI much at all, apart from Reus.

Oh and playing for Monaco will get him plenty more games will it?It doesn't change the fact that it's still a very good development ground for younger players. Starting at PSV isn't as easy as you're trying to make it seem. It'd be great for Charly.

£8m and Moses is quite a bit but definitely worth it for an outstanding second choice in Begovic. I'd be very happy with this.

He's had a poor tournament so far. After a poor season, It's not over analysing at all. I have the same opinion of Falcao as I did this time last year.

You and I both know De Gea was expensive because he was young. I do agree though that we should've asked more from Arsenal. The only thing I'm hoping for is that we get some sort of deal sorted with AoC. I know it's slim but it'd definitely make more sense.

RVP is a striker, Cech is a GK. GKs are never expensive.

Out of all midfield reinforcements (to replace Mikel) we seem to be targeting, my preference would definitely be Song > Witsel > Dembele. I wouldn't mind either 3 though.
