I think the club wanting another striker is hogwash. Like you said, it doesn't make any sense. Especially when you see how pathetic the market is right now. Jackson, Broja, and Nkunku for emergencies is fine. It's not like expectations are to win the league.
-
I think its paper talk. (Hopefully) We've actually been run properly now that Stewart and Winstanley have been calling the shots. Romano saying Poch wants to utilize Broja, and now is saying we want another ST. So which is it? We really going into a 1 match week a season with 3 strikers?
-
Vlahovic would be an embarrassment imo unless we tailor everything geared towards him. His hold up play and ability on the ball is below average. Just not worth it and its telling Juve want to replace him with Lukaku. Muani is an expensive gamble. Seriously bleak in the market. Rather stick with Jackson and Broja for the season.
-
To be honest I think Lautaro out of all the big money strikers available would have the least problem in adapting to the Premier League. It's the fact he's a streaky finisher and isn't a lone striker that's the issue.
-
Broja would have to be sold then?
-
Bloke is first generation Russian/Armenian so I doubt its that deep.
-
Because we are working under the radar as opposed to last year. No one knows who we are looking at (bar Caicedo)
-
Makelele warned us about Bakayoko as well. Mentality/confidence made out of glass.
-
Arteta is either a moron or a genius.
-
If Nkunku is worse than Havertz Ill eat my hat.
-
Fraser, Hayden, and Longstaff...........................to Tonali, Joelinton, and Guimarães
-
He looks like he's slimmed down too. Probably realising bulking up probably contributes to his top heaviness.
-
Neville should investigate Arsenal's interest in Chelsea as they are spending close to 70m on Kai fucking Havertz. Matter of fact, lets take it further and put a hold on all transfers made out of the Portuguese league to the Premier League as we need to keep the integrity of the Portuguese league.
-
He has too. No excuses now as Gusto looks like a player that will thrive in Poch's system given his attacking traits.
-
Only 13 goals but take a look at who they are against. Massive big game player. Solidifies himself in our all time starting XI (Lampard/Makelele/Kante).

I think Brighton's leverage on Caicedo diminishes by the day. - Brighton promised him a move this summer via gentleman's agreement. They don't want to piss him off again. - Koulibaly is now gone, meaning Colwill has guaranteed minutes and won't be tempted to force a move (not to mention the #26 kit is now available to him if that means anything). So Brighton forcing us to include Colwill doesn't seem like a possibility anymore. - United's new ownership ordeal looks like it will take months to finish, so their high target signings look likely to be placed on hold until that gets sorted. - Arsenal are prioritizing Rice and Havertz, and have officially pulled out their interest in Caicedo. This just leaves us and Bayern, but it's already been reported Bayern's interest isn't legitimate and that Caicedo and his agency have chosen Chelsea. We have a lot of leverage on this in getting a more favorable deal that doesn't include Colwill.
-
And yet no uproar on Arsenal spending nearly 200m on Timbers, Havertz, and Rice.
-
Hadn't thought about that. Still, the talking point from these reports are Saudi clubs over spending on these Chelsea players when they aren't even breaking even.
-
Telegraph is saying we are looking at roughly £50m from Koulibaly, Aubameyang, Ziyech, and Mendy. The remaining book value for all 4 is £55m. There is no profit. We are either taking a loss or having a neutral balance for this years FFP, so again, why is there this idea Saudi clubs are saving us from FFP?
-
I swear do these reporters even stop and think? How are these Saudi clubs saving us for FFP when Mendy, Ziyech, Koulibaly and Aubameyang will likely have us suffer a profit loss on each considering the quoted prices? We are not breaking even on any of them.
-
Sample test says he doesn't.
-
Need a new kit + sponsor before we unveil Nkunku. He going to wear last years kits?
-
He covered the Enzo story extensively. Was the first to report there was a verbal agreement and was the first to report of its collapse. He specifically mentioned verbal agreement back in early January, and when the deal collapsed people called him a fraud, only when we found out the club went back on their word regarding the terms of Enzo's fee which pissed off Costa/Benfica. Personally I think he's more than proved to have some close sources at the club. Covered the Ugarte ordeal pretty well too.
-
He explained it pretty thoroughly. There was a verbal agreement but we went back on our word to negotiate better terms which pissed off Benfica.
-
He's pretty reliable tbh as he's proved to have sources inside the club.
