He needs to start utilising Giroud. We have a proven threat in the final third who has great link up play, and Lampard wastes him away on the bench for Batshuayi, who in all honesty, belongs to a bottom half club. Cavani is the only target available atm that can improve us. If he prefers Spain, then so be it. However, if that is the case Giroud cannot leave. I believe the board have the responsibility in keeping him and Lampard has the responsibility of playing him.

The board has the responsibility to allow our manager to succeed, and the manager has the responsibility of utilising his best options. There needs to be clear communication as to why Giroud isn’t playing. He’s still a good player and far superior than Batshuayi who is bottom half quality at best. Taking away Giroud and bringing in no one weakens us. I will side with the board of no one comes yet no one leaves.

If we sell Giroud to Spurs while at the same time bring in no one I have virtually no faith in our board to provide for our managers. If not bloody Frank Lampard, then no one.

My understanding is that Atletico are offering a lump sum (15m) for a transfer, however Cavani would certainly be taking a pay cut. We are willing to give PSG a loan fee, plus pay the remainder of his wages until his contract expires. If PSG rejected Atletico’s offer I can’t see why’d they consider ours
