  1. To be honest he is now entering Morata/Torres territory with regards to his positioning in the box. Just no IQ what so ever.
  2. If we are preparing the worst. Mendy Chalobah Christensen Rudiger Azpilicueta Saul Loftus-Cheek CHO Mount Pulisic Lukaku
  3. Whether it be now or a few years from now, I fully expect UEFA to reinstate the 2020 award and give it to Lewandowski.
  4. You lot realise these are votes by players and journalists? Criteria is bound to change as this award is completely subjective.
  5. The competition itself is embarrassing considering the criteria changes every year.
  6. This. Our chance to secure Chiesa greatens if this becomes reality.
  7. The only thing I read was that the Chiesa turned down Liverpool in favor of playing for Juventus. His father said he does not want to play in the Premier League "at the moment". This can all change as there is breaking news Juventus are currently under investigation regarding how certain players were valued/funded. If they cannot afford Chiesa we should be all over him, with reports stating we are preparing a bid still.
  8. Chiesa should still be our #1 imo but this is still all dependent on who leaves. Havertz, Ademyi, Chiesa, Mount, and CHO would be so ideal for next season.
  9. To be honest I think the only 'safe' ones are Havertz and Mount. The former is a generational talent and the latter is our poster boy. Werner, Ziyech, CHO, and Pulisic haven't shown enough that they are good enough to help lead this club to a title challenge. Obviously we have to wait until the end of the season for a final assessment, but I reckon maybe one at most will show their worth come the end. Still question marks over Lukaku on whether he is willing to accept a minor role as its become evident we operate better without a focal point.
  10. Think it's a loss cause at this rate. That miss against United perfectly summed up his time with us. There will not be much space in this league so you will need to be good on the ball to succeed.
  11. Ziyech and maybe Werner the only two likely to leave next summer.
  12. What I will say getting only 2 out of 9 points against the clubs that finished above us last season is not good enough.
  13. Mendy is far and away from the issue. We saw Allison and Ederson fuck up more this season alone
  14. Aguero was also world class on the ball. City's gulf of goals with Aguero was due to his ability on the ball and not relying on him making runs off of defenders with the odd chance he will score a goal.
  15. It's quite telling when even Michael Carrick knows to put pressure on Alonso.
  16. Again, it's difficult when you, me, my dog and my nan knew 120 hours before hand that United would stick 5 defenders in the box the entire match. Putting in balls against a wall of 6 foot defenders for Timo Werner to tap in? It's bizarre game management from Tuchel once again.
  17. It's hard to create chances when your ST is nullified to run in behind the defence and the alternative is to have that ST try and join the build up when he isn't remotely good enough on the ball. Pulisic, although played RWB when he came on, looked far more dangerous when he came on because of his ability on the ball. These are the players you need against this type of opposition and in turn will allow us to create more chances. Both Lukaku and Werner are setting us back. No attacking player at City or Liverpool are as poor on the ball as those two.
  18. We took the piss out of De Ligt and Bonucci with Pulisic up top yet made Lindelof and Baily look like Nesta and Maldini given Werner can't do anything with the ball.
  19. Tuchel gave United arguably 70 minutes of easy defending with Werner on the pitch.
  20. 50 million for a ST who's best attribute is off the ball.
  21. The only issue I had with the starting XI was Werner. In what sense did it make to start Werner against a wall of defenders that wouldn't dare venture out of their box? Pulisic at the very least was able to drive at the Juventus defenders with his close control and with the help of Ziyech and CHO it allowed the entire Juventus back line to panic. Lindelof's job was incredibly easy considering he had Werner in front of him the entire time and gave him no space to go in behind. There is a player virtually nullified for 70 minutes.
