From Lampard's interview with Neville, he basically confirmed that he was never kept in the dark about certain targets the club identified. He was always involved and his input was always heard among the scouting staff. He essentially pushed for all of his signings and Ben Chilwell was his target alone.
This has to be applied to every manager that's been here recently and judging from Ray Wilkin's biography about Ancelotti and the whole Aguero/Torres dilemma, it should be treated as gospel.
Still think we can tempt him. He didn't rule out England completely, just that it wasn't the right time.
Chiesa, Havertz and Mount front three would set us up for years.
Ziyech, Werner, Havertz, & Lukaku were purchased on their output alone. Those upstairs never considered if they would fit the system, hence why they are all doing poorly.
I still believe we will be better off building the attack around Havertz and Mount. Chiesa at LW would be ideal.
Don't know if it was you or someone else with a generic avatar but Lukaku will have his use, just not a €100 million pound use.
Whether Tuchel will use him as an impact player, or if Lukaku will accept such a role, is highly doubtful.
I would respect Tuchel so much more if he does that. In this case, or I would hope, the entire fanbase would back Tuchel here over Lukaku if he throws a fit.
Matt Law is convinced this 6 week assessment is only a delay in the inevitable. He will be needing surgery. Stabalising the knee by strengthening the muscles around it would only be beneficial to those not involved in high intensity sports. Since the tendon can not heal itself, surgery will have to be required or there will be significant risk the knee will give out in the future.
I would have to agree if the tear is a grade 2. Surely there has to be LB/LWB options available in January? Liverpool got that bloke from Olympiacos who 90% of people never heard of and he is fitting like a glove.
That's the difference between United, Liverpool, and City.
United always find ways to score at the end, City can find ways with only 10 men on the pitch and Liverpool even have their GK scoring winners.
We have no one.
Liverpool won and now City will inevitably win. As someone mentioned earlier, this morning was the last time we will be 1st this season.
Always great to start the weekend with another lackluster performance from us with our rivals picking up points. Cheers lads. Well done.
To be fair this is arguably Liverpool's best team in the Premier League. They rightfully belong among the best.
Who gets into our 2005 team? Kante and at a stretch Silva.
