I don't really get this. Look at the positions Alonso gets in and you'd make a case that CHO can be effective in those areas too. Alonso has never been great defensively nor positionally. Just a body for set pieces really his only defensive trait. Rudiger and Kante/Kovacic make up for Alonso's lack of pace and defensive awareness. Dave at LWB is just comical and will negate our left flank even more. Either recall Maatsen and have he and Alonso as our options or CHO and Alonso moving forward.

Last night and the Villa game (league) were on par, if not worse, than anything Bakayoko dished out for us.

Couple of details that can clear things up. - He was always in the loop of all transfers, even personally pushing for Werner and Ziyech to be signed. - Chilwell was his choice alone. - No ill blood between he and Tomori. He just personally felt Rudiger, Zouma, Silva, and Christensen were all better.

At the very least James and one of Jorginho, Kante, and Kovacic needs to be fit for West Ham.

Look at any alleged case of someone suffering from a heart attack after receiving the Covid Vaccine and you will find 10 times out of 10 that someone has an underlying condition of high blood pressure and or high cholesterol.
