  1. Definitely something to build on next season. Along with an FA Cup hopefully. Hoping this draw keeps both City and Liverpool too stressed for the FA Cup.
  2. Because we had managers who preferred defensive work rate over technical ability. When in reality you can coach players in work rate but can't coach them in technical ability. Klopp and Pep have shown Mourinho how you can evolve.
  3. The amount of technical ability in display + work rate is immense.
  4. Don't count. The assists were from corners and goals against bottom half clubs.
  5. But Conte will always be Conte. His football isn’t sustainable. And Spurs will always be Spurs.
  6. I’d personally love it if Spurs get Top 4 over Arse
  7. Sounds like hairdryers were set to high and hot yesterday at Cobham, as Thomas Tuchel gave the team a piece of his mind following Wednesday night’s debacle against Real Madrid, which came just a few days after a similar debacle against Brentford. This wasn’t a time for discussion, as the head coach told today’s press conference. It was a time for the players to sit down, shut up, and pay attention. Oh, and to do better of course. We haven’t had to deal with too much adversity (on the pitch anyway) in Tuchel’s time, with the team playing a very controlled, structured style of football with the express main purpose of being “hard to beat”. Losses, the few that we’ve had, have rarely been lopsided. Now we’ve had two such defeats in the space of just five days. “Untypical” is what Tuchel’s been calling it, clearly bewildered by the team’s sudden inability to execute familiar instructions consistently and at the high level we’ve become used it. So hopefully the hairdryer treatment will have worked.
  8. Quick question for those that are educated in finance. Considering under new ownership, we will have the debt cleared. Does that make it ok for us selling Lukaku on a loss, along with the others?
  9. Again, Liverpool making all the right moves. Going to take us years to catch up to both them and City.
  10. Bollocks. Look at the effort at Inter vs here. I can't blame his pathetic footballing ability but I will never forgive effort. Werner at the very least gets my sympathy because he always tried.
  11. So City and Liverpool play Tuesday, and they get to play Sunday. We play Wednesday, and get to play Saturday? Saints will press us from the first whistle and we will utterly collapse. Quote this.
  12. Midfield. Gallagher will help but we need a DM.
  13. Luis Diaz didn't play in a top 5 league and already looks like one of the best wingers in the league. I have yet to see anything suggesting Tuchel is capable of elevating our attackers.
  14. Neither of them have played at the level at their former clubs.
  15. What attacking player has improved under Tuchel?
  16. RLC looking like a clown in a midfield against Modric, Casemiro and Camavinga.
  17. I don't get it with these lot. I really don't. City and Liverpool can go through an international break no problem. We go through international break and then take 5 steps backwards as a result. I'm not sure if this is a personnel or coaching issue. Probably both.
  18. Further proof why we Gallagher will undoubtedly be used next season. Midfield doesn't lacks the legs.
  19. Absolutely infuriating Jorginho doesn't do this more. He has it in his locker.
  20. Three CB's whos futures are uncertain and a RWB coming back from a hamstring injury. Not that surprising.
