  6. translation (I cleaned it up) corresponds to a fortune for River Plate that is close to 34 million euros tax free (brilliant business by them) 34m euros is around 6.4 billion ARS (argie peso), or 13 billion ARS or so gross if they had to pay taxes
  7. tractors they are and Jorginho is an electric lawnmower on low charge, plus often gets stuck in reverse
  8. Enzo is not cup-tied for the CL, he could play for us, even against (drama central) Benfica, lolol: https://www.football.london/Chelsea-fc/transfer-news/uefa-enzo-fernandez-Chelsea-transfer-25865848 If the two clubs can reach an agreement and Fernandez becomes a Chelsea player, then he would be able to represent his new side in the Champions League. The Blues take on Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16 – with the first-leg scheduled to be played on February 15 and the return fixture at Stamford Bridge on March 7. This is because the ruling states: "As of the round of 16, a club may register a maximum of three new eligible players for the remaining matches in the current competition. Such registration must be completed by 2 February 2023 (24.00CET) at the latest. This deadline cannot be extended. "Any or all of the players from the above quota of three may have been fielded for another club in the qualifying phase, play-offs or group stage of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League or UEFA Europa Conference League."
  9. the best route for us would be beat Dortmund then play the winner of Brugge v Benfica in the quarters (or even Inter Porto winner or Millan Spuds winner, but would prefer the first option) also in the quarters Citeh plays either the winner of RM/Pool or the winner of PSG/Bayern, the other game is Napoli v the winner of the other game (or other combos involving those 6 teams playing each other) then, in the semis, the 2 remaining teams out of the scenario above play each other we beat the lesser team (meaning it would not be any of the 6 biggest teams left atm, so no Real, no Citeh, no Pool, no PSG, no Bayern, no Napoli) we face in the semis, meaning we beat Inter or AC Milan or Spuds or Porto in that semi leaving us to face ONE out of the following 6: Citeh/PSG/Bayern/Pool/Real/Napoli in the final where, as we know, ANYTHING (see 2012 and 2021) can happen
  10. not until February or March I think
  11. Plettenberg was trying to say we (Chels) are very interested
  12. Ligue 1 star in London for Chelsea medical ahead of completing Stamford Bridge switch https://astamfordbridgetoofar.com/2023/01/benoit-badiashile-is-in-london-to-undergo-his-medical-ahead-of-the-Chelsea-game-latest-news/ Benoit Badiashile is in London to undergo his medical ahead of Chelsea move According to Football.London, AS Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile, is currently in London to undergo his medical ahead of the completion of his move to Chelsea during this transfer window. A few days ago, The Athletic reported that the Blues have agreed on transfer terms to sign the French defender for a fee of around £32.8m-£33.7m. The latest on it is that the player will sign a six-and-a-half-year deal with Chelsea. Badiashile was part of the Blues alternative plan to sign a left-sided centre-back when it became apparent that getting Josko Gvardiol is becoming tougher by the day. They agreed on personal terms with the Croatia international in the summer, but the price became too steep. Since then, the RB Leipzig man was linked with Chelsea, but now the price tag has gone beyond €90m. Completing the deal to sign Badiashile may mean that the club does not go back in direction of trying to sign Gvardiol. The Monaco defender is only 21 but experienced in the French game. He has made over 100 senior appearances for the Ligue 1 side and has not looked out of place. The Frenchman is a multi-faceted defender who is very fast in recovery runs, reads the game well, is good on the ball and is a physical giant in both boxes from set-piece situations.
  13. 🤣 Jurgen Klopp fumes at officials during Brentford's 3-1 victory over struggling Liverpool
  14. Record Finally, we come to the last of the big 3 newspaper which is Record. Record is the third-best selling Portuguese newspaper for good reason. This newspaper will print stories that will literally make you say "wtf". It will do anything to get more sales against Ojogo and Abola. They will print stories like "Di Maria to Benfica" or "Falcao to Fatima" that can puzzle people. Unfortunately as a kid, I love reading this newspaper and would buy a copy each morning to read in my grandfather cafe. Why? It was practically similar to a Children's book with made up stories and you can use your imagination to believe Messi will be playing at Porto. I'm not really sure who they're bias to but it can be said between Benfica and Sporting. Be wary of stories from these guys.
  15. Vincent Kompany hails Ian Maatsen after Burnley’s win over Swansea https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23224260.burnley-boss-vincent-kompany-swansea-city-victory/ Vincent Kompany paid tribute to his young Dutch loan star Ian Maatsen after he fired in the two goals that earned a sixth successive win in the Championship for his Burnley side with a 2-1 triumph at Swansea. The 20-year-old Chelsea player, who is on a season-long loan at Turf Moor, scored twice in the opening 23 minutes with magnificent left-footed strikes that gave home keeper Steven Benda no chance. “That second goal just travelled and kept going. Ian has given so much defensively and then he was able to add that to his game – not many players can give you that,” said the Burnley boss. “The set-up for the free-kick is never a coincidence, but then how he hits it he has to take the credit for that.” Maatsen struck first from a free-kick outside the Swansea box in the 12th minute and then added his second with a thunderbolt from the left edge of the box. Swansea replied with an Ollie Cooper goal in the 27th minute. “We started the first half extremely well and recovered a lot of balls and created moment, and changes in transition and out of our possession,” added Kompany. “Then for about 20-25 minutes they were better than us and on top of us. That’s because they changed it, as Swansea do. If you get a press on them and get a hold on them they change it around and move positions. “We weren’t able to get the same pressure on them. If Swansea have time on the ball then they are going to hurt you. We went a little bit more compact, but that didn’t work massively for us. In the second half it was an even game. “We got a press on for the full 45 minutes in the second half and that made us a better team. We also had the better chances in the second half, although the result is the most important thing. “We burned up a lot of energy and I could see a lot of tired legs at half-time. Then in the second half they just went again. That’s the strength of this team – they just keep going when you think they are about to bend or break.”
  16. KK and that press ☹️ the stuff of nightmares
  17. 'Emeka from Arochukwu' roflmaooooooooooo
  18. I will end this Enzo is a googolplex to the googolplex power times the player Rice will ever be. A googolplex is the number 10googol, or equivalently, 1010100 or 1010,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 . Written out in ordinary decimal notation, it is 1 followed by 10100 zeroes; that is, a 1 followed by a googol of zeroes. A typical book can be printed with 106 zeros (around 400 pages with 50 lines per page and 50 zeros per line). Therefore, it requires 1094 such books to print all the zeros of a googolplex (that is, printing a googol zeros). If each book had a mass of 100 grams, all of them would have a total mass of 1093 kilograms. In comparison, Earth's mass is 5.972 × 1024 kilograms, the mass of the Milky Way galaxy is estimated at 2.5 × 1042 kilograms, and the total mass of all the stars in the observable universe is estimated at 2 × 1052 kg. To put this in perspective, the mass of all such books required to write out a googolplex would be vastly greater than the masses of the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxies combined (by a factor of roughly 2.0 × 1050), and greater than the mass of the observable universe by a factor of roughly 7 × 1039.
  19. not sure, but he is known as Sports Illustrated (the largest sports mag in North America) and Simon Phillips are quoting him
