Not liking Southgate's Euro 2020 selections England squad Goalkeepers: Jack Butland (Stoke City), Tom Heaton (Burnley), Jordan Pickford (Everton) Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Ben Chilwell (Leicester City), Michael Keane (Everton), Harry Maguire (Leicester City), Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), Luke Shaw (Manchester United), John Stones (Manchester City), James Tarkowski (Burnley), Kieran Trippier (Tottenham Hotspur), Kyle Walker (Manchester City) Midfielders: Ross Barkley (Chelsea), Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur), Fabian Delph (Manchester City), Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea), Declan Rice (West Ham) Forwards: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Callum Wilson (Bournemouth) Tom Heaton over Angus Gunn???. Gunn has been, arguably, the best English keeper in the league in the EPL since he was finally made the starter. Heaton has been shit mostly in the games I have seen. At CB, Gomez was left out due to injury, so that is understandable. LB he picked the best we have BUT RB...Trippier over Aaron Wan-Bissaka?????? Come the fuck on. Trippier has had a poor season overall. STUPID call to leave AWB off, as he is a perfect player when we are going against high scoring speed merchant teams. now for Midfield Delph, Henderson (I suppose Declan Rice (who does deserve the pick), Henderson, and Dier are the only DMF's we have who are remotely oki but do we really need all 3? Who knows.), and (here comes the flames) RLC (mostly due to his seemingly never-ending injuries atm) and Barkely. but NO James Ward-Prowse (or even James Maddison) JWP has had a better year than any of those save Rice, IMHO. Delph in there is just shocking! The forwards are fine, in terms of picks, England is REALLY weak in terms of winger depth, as after Sterling and Sancho (imagine if he had not exploded onto the scene), we only have Lingard (not on the team) and then the other two teenagers (not on the team), CHO and Reiss Nelson (who just turned 19 several months ago).

Messi has 34 goals, 19 assist in 700 less minutes, but still amazing year Tadic is having 10 away in total goals produced (he is at 45 now) away from Henrikh Mkhitaryan's insane 2015-16 season 3 years ago (23 goals 32 assists for Dortmund) Speaking of stats Bruno Fernandes is only 3 goals away from tying Lampards 21st century record (27 in 2009-10) for most goals by a pure MF in a season
-
Ajax 1 nil Dusan Tadic 29th goal of the season he also has 16 assists

Beyond that, I am so hoping he is a part-time starter. I am going to chalk off last night's game, as it was the only time he has really struggled in any game Linnea has watched (she is far more into the Championship than I am, she is a big QPR fan (AFTER Chels, lol), as her brothers are into them since she was a baby).

CIES Football Observatory Monthly Report n°43 - March 2019 Mapping the origin of English Premier League players (2009-2019) http://www.football-observatory.com/IMG/sites/mr/mr43/en/ ' 1. Introduction This Monthly Report focuses on the top English football division: the Premier League. It analyses the evolution of the origin of players fielded over the past ten years. It shows that the percentage of players having grown up in England, the “nationals”, has progressively fallen to reach a new negative record level over the current season. The proportion of goals scored by Englishmen shows a similar trend. Given the Brexit context, a possible limit on the scope of international recruitment may oblige the majority of Premier League teams to modify their transfer strategies. The rise of a new generation of very promising English players suggests however, on strictly sporting terms, that such a change may not negatively affect the competitiveness of Premier League teams. It could even strengthen the national team. 2. Nationals Between 2009/10 and 2011/12, players having grown up in England have always accounted for at least 40% of minutes played in the Premier League. Over the seven last seasons studied, this threshold was only breached in 2014/15. Up until the 15th February 2019 of the current season, the percentage of playing time of nationals was 35.2%. This is the lowest value ever recorded during the period covered by the Report. Figure 1: % of minutes and goals of English players in the EPL (2009-2019) In parallel to the drop in playing time, the percentage of goals scored by Englishmen has decreased. In this case also, the lowest value was observed during the current season. Over the whole of the period analysed, the percentage of goals scored was always lower than that for minutes played. This result reflects the over-representation of national players in defensive positions. 3. Other UK players In ten years, the Premier League playing time of footballers having grown up in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales has fallen by over half. During the current season, the amount of minutes played by nationals from these countries reached a lowest level of 3.0%. A strong declining trend was also observed at the level of goals scored: from 4.7% in 2009/10 to 3.2% up until the 15th February of the current season. Figure 2: % of minutes and goals for non-English UK players in the EPL (2009-2019) During the decade analysed, the percentage of minutes has fallen for all of the three non-English UK nations. Players having grown up in Northern Ireland and Wales have almost disappeared from the Premier League. The Scottish remain present although less so than in the past. Similar to the UK players, the percentage of minutes played by footballers having grown up in Ireland has fallen sharply: from 4.6% in 2009/10 to 1.5% during the current season. Figure 3: % of minutes in the EPL for non-English UK and Irish players, by nationality SNIP much more at the link

He is 180cm (5-11), 82kg. So not that short for a RB. Not huge though. Fairly pacy. He had a bad night in defence and passing. Here are some past highlights.

Matt Law's Chelsea briefing Crunch time on the future of Jake Clarke-Salter By Matt Law Football News Correspondent Jake Clarke-Salter is currently on loan to Dutch side Vitesse (credit: Getty Images) Ajax’s progression into the quarter-finals of the Champions League with their eye-catching victory over Real Madrid will have scouts flocking back to Holland for the remainder of the season. But while Barcelona, Juventus and Paris St-Germain will fight over Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt, there is a young English defender who has performed as well as anybody in the Eredivisie so far this term. Ahead of last weekend, Jake Clarke-Salter ranked third in the league for defensive duel success and second for aerial duels, ahead of de Ligt and his more experienced Vitesse team-mate Maikel van der Werff. The 21-year-old has been on loan at Vitesse, Chelsea’s unofficial feeder club, for the season and is clearly benefiting from the experience after an eye-opening six months at Sunderland last season. Tore Andre Flo, one of Chelsea’s loan technical coaches, has made regular trips to Holland to watch Clarke-Salter and has also worked with Vitesse on his training schedule and development. Although he missed Sunday’s draw with Feyenoord with a knee strain and returned to Cobham for treatment, Clarke-Salter is already only three games short of achieving his pre-season target of playing at least 30 first-team games. One of a rare breed of left-footed, ball-playing centre-backs, Clarke-Salter ranks at the Eredivisie average for forward passes, which is far higher than the Championship, and has the fourth highest dribble completion percentage of any defender in the league. He has also learned to time his tackles better, having received back-to-back red cards while on loan at Sunderland for the second half of last season. As long as he is fit, Clarke-Salter will be included in England’s Under-21 squad for the forthcoming games against Poland and Germany, which Chelsea will no doubt watch. His Chelsea contract will have two years remaining at the end of the season, which means the club will have to make a decision on his future this summer. Chelsea will either tie Clarke-Salter to a new long-term contract and look to loan him out again or decide to consider bids for the youngster, amid interest from Championship and Bundesliga clubs. With left-sided English central defenders at a premium, Chelsea would be wise to at least keep their options open for a while longer. -
if CAS turns down the deferral appeal, we are just going to have to bite the bullet and keep him for the next year and let him walk on a free same for CHO sell Willian hopefully CHO renews once he sees the cards on the table I doubt it though whatever is the worst possible outcome, our Abramovich puppet cunt board will blunder into it the club desperately needs to be sold
