  1. big name team already out of the CL on a one game crash-out Vertonghen with an OG, and then this Immediate Zivkovic regret from Benfica as he score for PAOK to knock them out of the Champions League https://www.caughtoffside.com/2020/09/15/video-immediate-zivkovic-regret-from-benfica-as-he-score-for-paok-to-knock-them-out-of-the-champions-league/ It’s an unwritten rule that a former player will always come back to haunt you when they play against you, but this one has to hurt for Benfica. They signed Serbian star Andrija Zivkovic when he had a huge reputation a few years ago, but he just didn’t live up to expectations and they eventually decided enough was enough and terminated his contract. He was picked up by Greek side PAOK, and he’s immediately come back to haunt Benfica with this goal that will surely knock them out of the Champions League already:
  2. he looked oki, but certainly not the second coming of Donnarumma at that age
  3. they should just do a loan deal and spend the cash saved now elsewhere a 5m euro profit 2, 3 years from now is a joke Spuds are officially a Real feeder team North London farmers

  16. Chelsea legend Branislav Ivanovic fires warning to doubters after signing for West Brom https://metro.co.uk/2020/09/15/chelsea-legend-branislav-ivanovic-fires-warning-to-doubters-after-signing-for-west-brom-13276310/?ito=newsnow-feed Branislav Ivanovic has completed a move to West Brom and the Chelsea legend insists he still has plenty of ambition and intends to be a Premier League hit again at 36-years-old. The defender has returned to the Premier League after three-and-a-half years at Zenit St Petersburg, having spent nine thoroughly successful years at Chelsea. He won three Premier League titles, the Champions League, Europa League, three FA Cups and one League Cup during his time at Stamford Bridge, racking up 377 appearances for the club. With 105 caps for Serbia to his name, Ivanovic is as experienced as they come, but also past his best, with his 37th birthday coming around in February. However, he is raring to get going after signing a one-year contract at West Brom and is not at the Hawthorns to wind down his career. ‘The Premier League is the best league in the world,’ he told West Brom’s official website. ‘I need to challenge myself and I am ready for the challenge. I am really happy to be back playing in the Premier League. ‘I hope I am going to be successful here. I have a lot of ambition and I want to prove a lot of things. I will give everything for the team.’

  22. Kai Havertz reveals why he struggled on his Chelsea debut https://www.chelsea-news.co/2020/09/kai-havertz-reveals-struggled-chelsea-debut/ Kai Havertz made his Chelsea debut last night and had a quiet game, which was no surprise given the circumstances. The fact that he started the game at all was more surprising, given how little preparation time he’s had, and speaking in quotes picked up by the Evening Standard, the midfielder revealed why he had struggled in his first minutes in English football: “It was a very tough game, very difficult because I had long holidays and I came back and trained for five or six days with the team,” said Havertz. “More important is that we won so I am very happy to make my debut. “The Premier League is much tougher than the Bundesliga. I have seen that in training and saw it in the game as well. But I am happy to play 80 minutes and hopefully next week I will continue.” Frank Lampard is set to unleash Havertz against Liverpool on Sunday. Havertz said: “Of course they are one of the best teams in the world. We show respect but we are a very great team as well. It will be a very hard game but for them also. We will work hard and I think we will have a chance to take points.” Those are all very reasonable excuses, and let’s not forget he wasn’t being played in his best position either. The vital thing for Frank Lampard and his team was winning the game, and they not only managed that, they also got 80 vital minutes of match fitness into their new signing. He will also have benefited from the time on the pitch with his new colleagues, some of whom he’s barely trained with. The next few weeks will see him get fitter and more comfortable without doubt, and the more time he has on the pitch now, the faster he will progress.
  23. he loves the club rare thing nowadays
