I honestly don't know what the kid has done to get this much ire but atleast let me try. You are saying Norwich's defence was bad, yet the 2 goals he scored today were complete quality. He got much easier chances against better defenses that he should infact have converted. IF, that was not the case, I would actually be worried, but the kid has shown that he has what it takes. His hold up play has been very good in the 4 games, as has his movement which has seen him get into good positions. So saying he scored just because norwicj were poor defensively is a joke. As for giroud, he is not our future. Tammy is or can be. Taking a gamble over the kid is far better than with giroud who has some glaring deficiency like the lack of pace.

I am pretty sure Norwich will be much closer to 10th position than the 10th position will be to top 6. If Norwich is a championship level team, then so is half the PL. And if Tammy can keep scoring braces against those, while putting in great performances like these, I for one will be happy

It's good to have opinions. The opinions will be better if they are based on a good enough sample size, rather than 141 minutes against the CL champions and PL top 4 competitors. Fair enough, an initial reaction to the signing. But once it's done and dusted, once the season starts, I got behind the player. Also I was not the one judging a player after 141 minutes, unlike some "geniuses" on here. I was judging the player after a whole season, infact 3/4 whole seasons. Trying to play michy in a high pressing system in which we need a good hold up play striker will be redundant and another square peg in a round hole. Firmino does not get as many goals as salah/mane, does not mean he is not probably pool's most useful player. I am not comparing Tammy to formino, but that is the kind of way we want to play currently. Maybe we will get a perfect match striker next year and then reap the rewards for this year. Irrespective, players at the top of the game play upwards of 60 even 70 games. For example Federer has a best season win ratio of 81-4 (2005), 92-5 (2006) or djokovic 82-6 (2016). These are numbers of games is high 80s or 90s. As for breaks, I am sorry but thats just incorrect. Old players like Federer, Nadal, djoko have NOW started a bit of load management. Because they can, the tournaments they play they usually end up winning. But for the world no. 50s, there is no margin of error. From world no.5-20 they are all normally in contention for the year end finals, so they do play each of the tournaments that they can. And sometimes even an extra to get that boost in ranking points. But as far as the 10 masters 1000s, 4 grand slams are concerned, I don't think any player takes off from them. Add 500s and 250s, and you have a jam packed schedule.
