It's not like we had a back up lined up. Even if we got the 65mil bid (apparently), we would have had to put most of it on some winger. We will still get 2 good years out of him. He was really good yesterday. Did not one of his runs end up with Tammy scoring? Yes, his goal scoring leaves much to be desired, but to call him a fraud and keep on bringing up "how we lost 65mil" again is weird. I am using "again" but it's actually again and again and again and again. He might not be ideal, but he is still our best winger currently.

I think this might be our best team once we get all the players fit. Only thing to swap would be CHo and mount

Hopefully pedro/CHo are back fit after this 2 week break. 5 points in 4 games is underwhelming but there are a lot of posotives to have. Add the likes of Kante, Rudi, CHo, Pedro, james to the current team and I can see a completely different and far better team and results post the international break.

I love hazard, but what a fucking farce. Played a total of 450 mins (300 mins in the sf and final itself). scored 2 and assisted 2 out of which (2 goals and 1 assist) was only in the final. Compared to giroud who scored 11 and assisted 5. I mean who ever decided this award was high as fuck. Or the popularity contest was won by the most popular player.

Seriously? This is just so weird. I dont care if we get eliminated in the round of 16 by 100-0, as a club, as a team, as fans, the only thing we should be "wanting" is for the club to do the best it can. Winning the group stage and going to the knockouts with the giants of the footballing world will be the best thing for us. Not slugging it out in the europa leage. What happened to mount?

I feel Torres was the worst player in the 21st century for us. Its not about what he gave back to us, but what he took. Torres was a super marquee signing. The player to lead our line and keep our elite status intact. For the fee paid, he was a colossal flop. We probably lost players like lukaku and sturridge with our insistence to just keep playing torres as the striker. A what if scenario where Kun comes here while torres goes to city, and we would have had one of the best strikers in world football playing for us for a decade. So yes, I think given the circumstances, the fee, the expectations, torres has to be regarded as the worst player for us.

While I do agree that it is way way too early for contract extension, but, he has had 1 excellent game, 2 good games (without scoring) and a decent outing against leicester.

If I remember correctly, a decent number of people on here wanted to sell zouma. Its not even a point of that. Luiz is one of the most over-rated footballers ever. The guy is a cunt. END OF. And this is not a knee jerk to his move to arsenal, believe me. Lets take a look at 3 of Luiz's move to and from chelsea. Left chelsea when jose made him his 3rd/4th choice CB. Left PSG and joined Chelsea when Marquinhos made him psg's 3rd choice CB. Left chelsea and joined arsenal when lampard wont give a starting spot on the plate. In between we have the rift with Conte when Andreas replaced him. I mean the guy is an entitled spoiled prick. Football is about the team, the club, which people like luiz have never and will never get. Irrespective of his age, look at the kind of fuck ups he still makes. His unwillingness to grow or even learn is evident from that. I am so freaking happy that we got rid of this prick and kept a player like Zouma. yes, he might not be able to play a long ball like luiz, but he actually knows how to defend.

Like i said, does not matter what your opinion about him is. What matters is how he performs on the pitch. And so far, he has been very good irrespective of the sides we have faced.
