With VVD now gone, could this guy be the answer? Obviously Napoli are a nightmare to negotiate with, but as a player, would Koulibaly be an upgrade on our back 3?
-
I'll second that, would love him here. About to hit his peak years, and what a player on his day. Has Cesc's similar vision, but so much more better dribbling ability, and defensive awareness that Cesc has rarely showed. The only issue with him is his tendency to foul players, but that would be ironed out. I doubt PSG would want to sell, but Verratti, like Sandro, has been off form this season, so there might be a glimmer of hope there.

Has impressed me every time I've seen him. We are stocked in terms of the numbers of CB's, but world class quality in that position is sorely lacking. Having said, this one would surely be too good to be true.

Thoughts? https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/668813/Chelsea-Man-City-AC-Milan-Leonardo-Bonucci-Antonio-Conte-Premier-League-Juventus http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/bonucci-eyes-milan-exit/1pr1p8vdxfun11l4bzvniq0nqj

Who would TC members prefer out of Sandro or Grimaldo? Sandro is more established, but Grimaldo could be an outstanding, long-term investment.
-
Should definitely try and sign this guy if Courtois goes. I've said on these forums before that I like Donnarumma, and I would still be delighted with him, but this guy is clearly more established at the top of the game.

Batshuayi has disappointed so far against Bournemouth. Whenever he's started games, especially this year, he hasn't cut it. His entire niche seems to be getting goals from the bench, which is a worry if he needed to start for a prolonged period of time. If Abraham wanted to come back, would definitely have him here next year. Would for certain be a good second-choice, or even occasionally first-choice striker.
-
Would love Varane here. Him alongside Christensen would be fantastic to build with for years. Can't see it happening though. Knowing our board, he'll go to Man United.
-
I hope Conte stays beyond the end of the season. However, I cannot see it lasting. If this turns out to be the case, my two choice, in order, would be 1) Ancelotti, and 2) Allegri. What do you guys think?
-
I do get that, and LWB has to be the priority. It is harder to get two expensive players in different positions, like van Dijk and Sandro. Maybe next summer the club should prioritise 4 expensive players, like van Dijk, Sandro, Verratti and Dybala (not saying we'd get them, but players of that ilk), and try and sell players like Luiz, Bakayoko (If patience runs out), and Cahill, to generate decent revenue from transfers out
-
Stocked in terms of quantity, yes, but true quality bar Christensen? (In terms of natural CB's) If we wanna be true UCL contenders for the remainder of this season, and PL and UCL next, we need outstanding quality. Van Dijk is better than anything we have, even Luiz (on the basis of this season's displays). Rudgier hasn't made an outstanding impact yet, Cahill can only go one way now, and Luiz has shown elements of his old self this year. I get the risk behind doing it because of the money, and the amount of CB's we already have, but I still think for van Dijk, the pros outweigh the cons.
-
Should try and make this deal happen. We are so short of natural centre-backs anywhere near his quality, an he could play in UCL next month, just about to come up to peak age, ideal in my eyes

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11854/11170552/gianluigi-donnarumma-what-now-for-ac-milans-golden-goalkeeper In these circumstances, it's definitely worth a try. Get a huge few fir Courtois if he does want to go, and get a guy with so much time left to improve, and become a legend, like Cech, for 10 years + as No.1 keeper.
-
I think he would be a fantastic signing. Already world-class, and at the age where we could have him for 15+ years. A £62M release clause isn't cheap, but quality keepers are rare, and if Courtois goes, we need a fine replacement if we are to remain in contention for the very top honours. For me, this guy would be perfect.
-
Has the potential to be one of the best, but would he be a good enough No.1 if Courtois did go? Would he be an upgrade or downgrade on him?
-
Haven't seen him much live, but on paper, looks to be ideal. 22 years old, so has time to grow, reportadly has a release clause of about €60M (not bad in the current market), and looks as if he can defend and attack admirably already. Has anyone seen anything more of him? Obviously we need a new LWEB, but, in terms of ability, would he be a good signing? https://www.whoscored.com/Players/107252/Show/Alejandro-Grimaldo

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/metro.co.uk/2017/11/26/chelsea-ready-to-sign-manchester-united-target-jack-butland-as-thibaut-courtois-talks-stall-7109370/amp/ It might just be paper talk, but if rumours on Thibaut Courtois are to be believed, we would need a new first-choice keeper. Butland is promising, but another name in my mind is Gianluigi Donnarumma. Both he and Butland are arguably already world-class, but who do you think, ability wise, would be better for us, and why?
-
Looks to be a right-back with huge potential. Touted as someone who could do pretty much everything in that position. Some articles and YouTube videos of him, incase some haven't seen or heard of him: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davide_Calabria http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/news/newsid=2287120.html https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EECpRlwO64g What would you guys think of potentially going for him? Milan are in a bit of a mess at the moment, which in one aspect, should make it easier to assume the player would favour a move. But on the other, it might make them more determined to keep their young, high potential talents.
-
Looks like a top prospect. What would you make of his potential signing? Do you think he's good enough now to regularly be in the starting line-up in both the Premier League and Champions League?
-
One of the best centre-backs out there, but will he be able to adapt to the Premier League at his age, and could we still get 2-3 years of world-class performances out of him? Is it worth the risk for what would likely be a transfer fee of around £60M?
-
Possible left wing-back option. Thoughts on potential signing? I know he's a brilliant attacking threat, but is he good enough defensively? Would he be an upgrade on Alonso, and how does he compare to the worlds best like Alaba and Sandro?
-
I personally believe we need another central midfielder to provide a great partnership with Kante for next season. Feel free to put other names down if you want to, but my main two targets would be Nainggolan and Verratti. Which one would you prefer us to get, and why?
