Torres does himself no favours at all...It's getting more frustrating and pathetic than sheva now.

Cheers for reassuring us that it wasn't definitely going to happen... aha

Would Like to see this by the end of January...

i would like another midfielder, with the playmaker sense, i can't see it happening in January though, i think Romeu will create enough with Rami and Raul' anyway, but a dream signing would be Christian Eriksen. Huge Talent, would fit in our midfield perfectly. I had him in there originally....but don't think he'd make the move in January if we were to put a bid in. -
Cech; Ivan, Alex, JT ©, Cole; Ram, Mik, Lamps; Mata, Sturr, Mal. - subs: Turn, Bos, Romeu, Meirel, Kal, Lukaku, Torres

Gregory Van Der Wiel- May have similar issues to Bosingwa defensively, but this man's crossing accuracy, passing accuracy, dribbling and finishing are all a cut above Bosingwa's...would be happy with maximum pay of 20Million for him. (16mil is reasonable) my next signing would back up why its alright to buy a right back with a defending weakness. Gary Cahill- The sight of 3 English defenders in the starting XI looks great, along with the thoughts of the likes of Bertrand who can add to that in the future! He's a proper centre half, and would be a good way to partner with JT and then eventually replace him in the line-up once JT is finished If we're going to play fast flowing, attacking football, this is the line up for it and Cahill and Van Der Wiel will add to that! Obviously rotations in defence of Ivanovic and Luiz with Cahill, if Terry needs rest or is not working with our new way of playing. With that as a possible XI, and a bench consisting of the likes of.... Terry, Lampard, Luiz, Ivanovic, Anelka, Drogba....we have plenty of options and a further step in the reconstruction of the squad! Up The Chels! (I'm aware a lot of people will disagree with this XI and a few will agree, but after playing about i've fallen in love with this selection and would love to see it!)

is Alex fit? if so.... Cech Brana Luiz Alex Cole Romeu Meireles Rami Danny Torres Mata

The MoneyIsAllThatMatters Stadium The History of the club betrayed arena The Osgood turning in his grave stadium.. I refuse to ever come along with the idea of moving stadium, changing names.. Football's most historic grounds are just being taken out of the game, it's not right. For me..any chelsea fan who agrees with a move from our home is not a proper and passionate Chelsea Football Club fan, because who are selling the place of our passion and history by agreeing to this.

I don't actually care about any arguments for moving away from the Bridge. I will hold my single minded view... We have been there from the start. 1905-forever, it will be disgraceful if we allow our home to be torn down as we move to some untraditional modern replica of the Emirates... 42,000 will do me fine and I'd rather miss out on a ticket through a sell out at the bridge than be guaranteed one at some concrete bowl stadium that is about as intimidating as arsenals back four... SAVE THE BRIDGE. I will feel betrayed by the club if we move from the Bridge in my lifetime. Get the point across in any way you can, only thing I can do online is try and make a point on social networks I don't care about people pressing follow on my twitter..just RT my tweet posted earlier saying the bridge is where we belong say no to the move! Let's trend that and hope someone gets the point, then I hope others will protest in person if any advanced talks begin, let's keep our home safe. @Lumo_5 Chelsea without Stamford Bridge is like Fish without Chips...It's Wrong. King Osgood will be looking down hoping for us to keep his throne at the Home of Chelsea Football Club.

----------------------Cech------------------------- Ivanovic------Luiz-----------JT---------Cole--- --------------------Meireles---------------------- ------------Ramires----------Lamps------------ ---Anelka------------------------------ Mata--- ---------------------Torres------------------------ bit of a mixture of what i want/what i think it will be

Exactly my point, if he was a 'Dani Alves' when attacking he'd get away with defensive errors now and again, but i feel even Brana is better at crossing, beating a man and playing a ball into the strikers, so he should be picked, or if AVB doesn't feel it will affect the defence too much sign a RB who attacks at a very high level, Periera is good, Van Der Wiel seems to have talent but may be a bit 'Bosingwaish' in the Prem
-
completely agree with that, i was hyping him in pre-season ready for AVB to get the best out of him, i beleive he's improved but hes still not of a high enough level to start for a club like us, but as a lot of people say its hard to find a RB that can defend/attack well consistently, just feel the likes of Chris Smalling playing well for United shows top clubs realise the stereotypical 'slim small pacy right back' is not working all the time' i think Brana will do a job there as well as anyone can, can't think of who will be bought in, but im sure that'll be our next move in January or the End of Season market
-
Wasn't having a dig at AVB, im as big a fan as any of him, just thinking of reasons I understand the full-back argument but i just think hes too clumsy (especially defensively) but also the majority of the time when attacking, watched the game today on a stream and he had about 5 simple crosses within the opening 20 minutes that which he either rolled to the opposition or sliced into the shed end, When he gets it right, fair play to him, but i don't feel hes consistent enough, and whilst we concede so many from set pieces/aerial balls i think its safer to have Brana there, who also attacks pretty well and is a lot more consistent both defensively and in playing the simple cross/pass. I know full-backs arent expected to be top class defenders at all times, but with the attacking force we have and the offering of Ash as an attacking full back i just feel we need that extra defensive support and then we still have the pace and movement of Meireles,Ramires,Ashley,Sturridge/Nico,Mata to work the wings and accelarate up-field.
-
OUR DEFENSIVE WEAK LINK. i think most on this forum are in favour of him and rate him, just wanted to see if anyone else agress with me that he is not good enough! Don't really have the time to write all my reasons but i will back up my statement if theres big disagreement. I can't help but feel its the fact that hes portugese that he gets the nod over playing... Ivanovic Luiz Terry Cole. I understand today may have been an acception due to Luiz's 120 minutes in the Carling Cup, but i just don't rate him highly enough to be starting in our defence. Poor tackler and Poor Marker (At fault for the goal conceded today and most other goals conceded from crossed balls)
-
Think it'd have to be Meireles or Ramires, Brana had a good game aswell to be fair to him
-
How Do you think our youngsters performed against Fullham?
wisey11zola25 replied to CHOULO19's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Bertrand- Looked quite nervy, think he felt a lot of pressure with PVA as a competitor for the place and the reputation of Ash to live up too, but as he got into the game he looked promising, made some good attacking runs, got into scoring and crossing positions and won the ball well defensively, as he becomes more experienced and confident in himself he'll be pacey and dangerous both attackingly and in stopping opposition wingers. Romeu- What a bulldog! Strong, confident and can pick a pass from almost anywhere, think he has the ability to live up to challenging makelele as our best in that role , plus he gives a modern edge to the holding role, he passes, not scared to shoot and will take on a player, all in all great performance, made the mistake with a pass to dembele towards the end but recovered it in an experienced manner! just hope the buy back clause doesn't come back to haunt us! Josh- Can't find any negative in Josh's performance, gets more eciting each time he gets an appearance, creativity, comfort on the ball, technically gifted, great positioning, and has a great talent that Lamps had in his prime (constant movement, always looking for gaps and spaces in play and winning the ball in the middle of the park) there was a moment where he nicked the ball off the Fulham midfield and started a move from nothing, the combination of him and Oriol is a dream for the future! Lukaku- he seemed to get a bit of stick on the Radio commentary yesterday but i watched the game on a stream and i think theres so many promising signs its hard to put them all in quickly....so ill just leave it at DROGBA,STRENGTH,PACE,QUICK TURN,CONFIDENCE FROM ANY POSITION. Obviously he has areas for improvement but at the age of 18 with that many Drogba like signs is so deadly! imagine how much earlier he can find his feet than Drog did in football...could break many a record as our Belgian Beast! -
It's a domestic ban so premier league will apply to the ban aswell
-
although the McEachran sub in the Fulham game was based on needing a defender on, im also hoping it meant he done enough to prove himself for a start this weekend so he was rested to avoid having to play 120 minutes, he deserves a start! i think the line up will be...... ..............................Cech................ Bosingwa....Brana.............JT........Ash ...........................Meireles.................. .................Ramires...........Josh.......... ..Anelka.................................Mata.... .........................Nando...................... Guessing Drog will get a run out to get his match fitness back, Alex is suspended, Luiz after playing that much on wednesday will probably be rested and Sturridge wont be risked after picking up a knock, hoping for a convincing performance and comfortable win after 2 games of complete rollercoaster unpredictable football! will be happy with a 2+ goal win with a clean sheet, Nando on the goalsheet and Joshy controlling the middle of the park with creativity,

I think Lukaku is showing promise, as he becomes more experienced he'll be deadly also he wasn't 'wasteful' with that shot after his run, he had no options and gave it what he could, Also i think Romeu is gonna be a big part of our future success in that holding role, just give them time, you can see the signs that they're unbelievably talented
