The boys are doing well in the tournament aswell, Quarter Finals tomorrow morning and Semi's at 4:30pm if they win, the 'Youth Policy' must be doing something right Not sure on the kit, when you hear white,yellow, blue(navy)....you can imagine a lot better than that, but not awful, will grow to like it i think

With Essien out, you think Mikel will flourish? No. as much as i want him to, he is not even nearly of the standard for a defensive midfielder at a club of our stature....just look at his passing..there are times i wonder how he made it pro! his passing throughout the years..and this pre-season(when he should be flourishing) has been woeful. i'd rather play Joshy or adapt David Luiz to that position. We've all been to patient with Mikel and he has never delivered!

I think the main positive is AVB isn't hiding that it's not good enough, Carlo would have covered it up along with most managers, but AVB has said theres negatives and that he knows there needs to be improvement but sees that things hes doing in training are beginning to work. Also, i think the reason theres we're mostly pessimistic is that we look the same as last year, no signings, no real tactical changes and no major gameplay differences. Like we say though only 2 games and pre-season isnt a realistic reflection, That said, WE NEED SIGNINGS! whether its big like Modric or young talent (Lukaku, De Bruyne) need to freshen it up a bit. I think we'll get our first realistic view of what to epect when we face Villa/Blackburn in the Asia Trophy. Lastly, anyone who watched the coverage of yesterdays game...10/10 Tommy Langley for speaking the truth on ChelseaTV rather than making out everything is so promising like Gigi Salmon!

if im honest i thought the same to begin with, but seeing more pics of it, i think it looks a lot classier than what adidas produce, Umbro are producing the best kits of the last year or two and love the simplicity and retro look about them all.

Also, not sure if Chalobah is available after the World Cup but if he is would be good to see him have a run out, Torres, Sturridge partnership is what we all dream of working and hopefully lalkovic can gain experience and push into a player available fro the first team in the Carling Cup/first few FA cup and Group Stage Champions League like Josh got last year, then push for more prem apps next year (the way Josh is now) Cmon the Chels! Can't wait to see them back on the field!

Anyone else wishing we return to Umbro as soon as possible...Man Citys new home kit is different class, a royal blue version of that for home, White with blue neck for away, and yellow with blue neck for third, couldnt ask for better than that next year. (also if anyone has an editor where they can make those kits from the man city shirt, put them here, would be quality, cheers)

is it just me or does the collar look huge!? when i heard white, yellow, navy...i thought we were going to get a kit to remember (in a positive way)...but three colours that would have gone brillainlty together have been ruined by the 'bars' of navy and yellow being miles to big, something more subtle with those colours would have been a masterpiece...really hope the official pictures do it some justice.. im pretty certain that I and many others could have created better away/third kits than what are being produced this year!
