Ramires was woeful against Southampton. Like bad, really bad. Missed all his tackles and his passing just unsettled the entire team. I want to see Hazard Costa Willian Loftus-Cheek Mikel/Matic Cesc Baba Zouma Cahill Azpilicueta
-
And? Newcastle bossed usHow does the quality of opponent decrease the quality of those passes?
-
Amazing performance in a team that can actually play football. Not surprising.
-
I'm watching Cesc pull the strings for Spain right now as an interior in a 433 and there's no reason to believe he can't do that in a Chelsea shirt. He's finished as a Top Class #10 and he's been found out in a pivot. Time to change formations instead of a pigeon-holing a player into a setup that clearly no longer suits him. Tell Matic to focus on defending alone like Coquelin and leave the creativity to RLC and Cesc. Ivanovic and Terry are done in my eyes (father time remains undefeated) but I refuse to believe the likes of Cesc, Costa & Hazard are "overrated" or "liabilities" after having great seasons.

I'm actually looking forward to our next game and everyone knows I'm incredibly pessimistic & cynical of our team. With Ivanovic's injury & Jose insisting RLC will get a run of starts we're finally going to see some new faces in the team who'll play with that youthful exuberance we're so sorely lacking. For the first time since 09/10 Ashley Cole we'll have a massive attacking threat down that left flank & I'm excited to see if he and Hazard can form a little partnership together. He was getting criticism after both games but I saw a fullback routinely getting into promising positions and unlike Azpi/Ivanovic delivering several accurate & crisp crosses into the box. With more familiarity, patience & confidence I really think he can become our own Carvajal, Alaba, Shaw, Bellerin, Shaw etc I also think RLC will offer us something different in a midfield that's been virtually non-existent so far. Obviously he isn't the finished article yet but unlike our 4 other midfielders he has no glaring weakness in his game. The best attributes of Matic (physicality), Cesc (creativity), Ramires (drive) and Mikel (close control) he has it all in his arsenal. I also think Jose's criticism in the off-season did wonders for his off the ball work, he's expanding more energy tracking players & making more challenges. He still has to work on his stamina & engine but I've liked what I've seen so far. www.youtube.com/watch?v=deT8QhK9GSwMaccabi was a 10/10 performance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKND_NOs1C4 He was more subdued in this game but still a solid game and a World Class assist to boot. Costa will return from suspension with a point to prove & we'll start to see the best player in the League again once chill mode is deactivated. Cesc is the only wild card for me, he's been woeful but do you really want to drop the most creative player not named Messi when you're struggling to create clearcut chances. I say we stick with him for another game to see if he can play his way out of his bad form and offer him as much protection as possible with RLC, Matic, Azpi & Willian. I hope we go 433 Azpi Cahill Zouma BabaMaticCesc RLCWillian Costa Hazard

He and Ranieri went back and forth with one another in Italy 5 years ago. It does matter. You're insinuating it's some sort of unprovoked vicious attack on Claudio when it's clearly anything but.
-
Pretty sad they'll recycle that old quote for controversy and they'll get away with it too considering the daggers are out now. Look at the Chelsea fans on here falling for their tricks. And Wenger and Jose have had beef since like 2004. Why do people pretend it's a one-sided thing, this is a manager that pushed him in a dugout and somehow got away with it.
-
Get outta here. We're 16th not battling for 5th. Even Messi wouldn't solve this mess.
-
Cahill, Terry/Zouma, Loftus Cheek, Matic, Costa. Problem solved. More excuses from Mourinho. "He's not ready for this level of Championship" what a way to back your player. Picking players based on height though. What a joke.
-
But but net spend though. Jose knows what he's doing, all of a sudden the same people stroking Jose's ego then are now changing their minds. We were set for the next 10 years with the work Emenalo did then Jose fucked it all up with his egoism. Ancelotti, Pellegrini, van Gaal, Guardiola amongst others would've done wonders with that 12-13 squad.
-
No great teams play counter attacking football. Football has evolved beyond that. Madrid, PSG, Juventus, Bayern, Barca. None of the top teams play that style of football. Mourinho's still stuck in the 00's.
-
He sold Filipe Luis, David Luiz, Lukaku, Mata, De Bruyne & refuses to play Loftus-Cheek, Baba or the horde of talented youngsters in the reserves. Claiming he has no options or the board doesn't back him is beyond laughable. While our fans were bragging about net spend and what not I always maintained it was stupid the get rid of most those players. Anyway, squad depth/quality or whatever is only 25% of the problem. We are 16th ffs not on the fringes of Top 4. It's mainly a coaching problem. AVB, Benitez, Scolari etc all the much maligned managers never had us playing like a Championship team. The table certainly doesn't lie in this instance.
-
And that team did nothing in Europe & could never win back to back League titles. Counter attacking teams have a short shelf life.
-
You think this run of form came out of the blue? We've been awful since Swansea away in January. The likes of Lionsden amongst others have been complaining since that game. There's a reason this thread was renamed the Moaning Thread for a brief period. We play woeful football which would be forgivable if he at least picked the correct players. He refuses to even do that.
-
No. He refuses to change anything. Players, tactics, formation. He needs to go unfortunately.
-
Who cares about the interview. Don't understand why people care about it. He's not going to say what he really feels there. People give it way too much importance.
-
I'm willing to look past the shit football he has our team playing right now if he picked the correct team but he even refuses to do that. He needs to go.
-
Bye bye. Get Klopp in before Liverpool do. Enough is enough.
-
He needs to go enough is enough. AVB never had the team playing this bad. We're literally playing like a Championship club & that's no exaggeration. Southampton should be 4 up by now.
-
Willian and Ramires should offer Ivanovic all the protection in the world.
-
Aguero and Sanchez woke up recently. Time for Hazadd to perform.
-
You do know a DM winning loads of tackles isn't great right? You think Busquets, Carrick, Alonso, Motta or Kroos are winning loads of challenges? As long as your positioning is great you won't be forced into unnecessary defensive actions. DM's job is to prevent passing lanes and shut off potential attacks, which Matic does not do why do you think it's so easy to play through our midfield? At least Mikel can control a football btw.
-
Can't see Roman splashing out the £20m it'd take to sack him. This will carry on until Ivanovic finally gets injured. Funny thing is last week he claimed he has no untouchables in the squad yet a few days later pretty much guarantees Ivanovic his spot on the team regardless of his mistakes.

The overrating of Muller goes on. You're telling me he would start for this treble winner Barcelona ahead of Neymar, Suarez or Leo OR bench Ronaldo, Benzema or Bale? So much praise for a player who's never even scored 15 League goals despite taking penalties. You're going to bring up his Germany record obviously but I'll counter that with Podolski & Schurrle. Couldn't care less about it.
-
No Muller would be on the bench if Bayern were playing Barca tommorow. The lack of a Ribery or Robben is the reason they were so comfortably beaten by Barcelona. He isn't a difference maker either of those two are & he's not close to the striker Lewandowski is. I don't care about the cliche winner, warrior stuff. In terms of quality he's levels below those 3 easily. Any Bayern fan will tell you that. Only thing special about Muller is his versatility.
