  1. Anelka has played enough, bring on Kakuta
  2. Got away with that there. Great chance for Ruud
  3. I knew he had it in him, he should do that more often.
  4. Anelka's really lost his coolness in front of the goal since the 2009/2010 season. 1 on 1 situations used to be his specialty.
  5. Basicly we've been passing the ball around the whole 45 minutes. Hardly broke down their defence. Greatest excitement in the whole half was a nice little (very little) run by Malouda but the final pass wasn't that good. Bad defending caused our first goal. Essien intercepted, kept his head cool and saw Frank. Frank tapped in. Mikel best performer so far. Very boring, so you haven't missed anything
  6. Boringggg We're not doing anything, almost no creativity. But we're leading. Bring on Kakuta, Zhirkov and Benayoun or Matic.
  7. Van der Vaart would be a great buy but he wants to stay in Madrid. I'd prefer a experienced AM (25-28 years) so McEachran could take his spot after a few years. But then again, Özil is very cheap because of his contract ending in next year.So if he did want to come, Chelsea would be foolish not get him.
  8. Bring on Kakuta for Kalou please...
  9. Mikel's looking very confident this pre-season. He looks happy and fresh. Moving around great, always available to pass to, covering defensive gaps (finally!). He just needs be a little more adventurous with his passing because he can pass well. Coming season could finally be his season...would be great . Maybe he's scared Ramires will take his spot
  10. It worries me how much creativity we lack in midfield. We're just playing the ball around, no incisive passes or somebody beating a man with skill. I get why Ancelotti wanted to sign Kaka but he isn't the same anymore. A different player with the same playing style would be welcome. Again we will have to depend on the individual qualities of Drogba, Lamps and Malouda against side who just park a bus in front of the goal.
  11. I wonder what Ancelotti's planning to do with Ramires. He's very attack-minded and loves to get into the box. But i doubt he will get that freedom with Lamps having that same mind-set. Placing him in a holding role would really limit his abilities. Will be interesting see how the Carlo will use him if he actually joins us. One major plus, Ramires will be great for counter attacks. His ball stealing ability mixed with his love of long pacy rushes is ideal for counter attacks. As long as he quickly learns not to pass the ball to Anelka during a counter attack. Anelka always slows down with ball at his feet (really pisses me off when he does that ). Our counter attacks have really sucked since Mourinho left. His weak point is his lack of strength. He's a weak player and he will need to bulk up. Still hoping for a creative and skillful AM to join us...
  12. Are you serious ? Yossi in the starting line-up ? From the Liverpool bench to the champions first XI ?
  13. Buying a RB would make no sense. With Ivanovic, Bosingwa, Hutchinson, Ferreira and Mancienne we have more than enough options for that position. Don't see why Ivanovic should be moved back to his original CB role. He and Maicon were the RB's last season if you ask me, so why change a good thing. Ancelotti said he would like to sign two more players. With the upcoming arrival of Ramires (Ballack's replacement), that leaves us with one more signing. Really really it's a AM/playmaker. Ancelotti had great playmakers like Pirlo, Seedorf, Rui Costa and Kaka (not a pure playmaker but his through balls were deadly) under his wings at Milan. Surprised he hasn't mentioned wanting to sign one and suprised we're hardly being linked with that type of player. Hoping for the best.
  14. Couldn't agree more. Wouldn't like Chelsea to end up like Arsenal .
  15. Won't believe a thing until the deal is done
  16. Salomon Kalou believes this will be the season for young blood to shine in the Chelsea ranks. Following on from his exclusive interview with Chelseafc.com last Saturday, Kalou was keen to express his belief that some youngsters will break into the first team this campaign, and there's one player in particular who has caught his eye. 'Josh [McEachran] is a very good player,' insisted Kalou. 'He has come into the first team, he has a great quality and he can impress. He could do a lot for himself and be an important Chelsea player this year.' The 17-year-old first began training with the senior squad last season and Kalou knows the side's experience will have already rubbed off onto the aspiring star. It's a fantastic scenario for any young player, especially considering how tough it is to break into top-flight football. 'It is difficult but you learn from the international players everyday in training and I believe giving the opportunity to the young players is a good attitude. 'We are helping him to get on the team and it helps your confidence as a young player when an experienced player comes and talks to you. He will be a good player in the future.' Great news for Josh and the club. Future looks bright !
  17. Hope Carvalho's absence is because of a different reason, would really like him to stay. Alex is too injury-prone to rely on for a full season.
  18. You do know that with that statement, i mean i would much rather see Kakuta start instead of Kalou. Kalou started against Frankfurt and didn't make a good impression at all. He's way too inconsistent. So i'd rather see Kakuta play since we dont have any other option for the right attacker position. Kakuta would surpass Kalou with ease after a full season on the highest level.
  19. As long as it's not the diamond formation, i'm happy. .......................................Hilario........................................ Iva.............Carvalho......................Terry.................Cole ......................................Essien........................................ .............Lamps..................................Malouda............... Kakuta.........................Anelka..............................Zhirkov (Kakuta over Kalou, but Kakuta may be tired)
  20. Great video. Really shows of his qualities and class. He's small but has great balance, very hard to get him down. His dribbling and close control at top speed is phenomal. Fantastic vision and passing. And he's a great entertainer. Didn't know he took free kicks though. Nice bonus. This guy is like a younger version of Messi. Can't wait to see more of him next season, hopefully we'll get to see a lot.
  21. Yeah i guess we'll just have to wait and see. Hope we don't get into any trouble .
