  1. I knew you were exaggerating but i just wanted to point those facts out to you;). Actually, when i think about Gyan, i think about his great goal celebrations .
  2. I agree with you that he shouldn't be on that list but you saying that if hadn't missed that penalty nobody would know his name is not true at all. He was present at the 2006 World Cup as well and he was an Udinese player in the Serie A. Maybe you didn't know him but he was certainly known.
  3. I can't believe i'm the one to say this but i don't think he deserves to be nominated. Even though Lamps managed to end up with a great number of goals and assists, his actual play wasn't that great when you look at his overall season. When looking at Frank Lampard standards, the first half of the season Frank was pretty quiet. He hit top gear around january/february. And don't forget that there was a World Cup this year and i don't have to tell you anything about England's World Cup campaign (most certainly the reason why Wayne isn't on that list). Frank was much better in our 08/09 season and he did make it to the list last year so you're wrong about him never being on the list.
  4. 1. Vicente Del Bosque (World Cup winner) 2. José Mourinho (Treble Winner) 3. Louis van Gaal (Double Winner + reaching CL final with an average team, except for Robben, Schweinsteiger and Van Bommel) That's what I think the top three coaches will be. International achievements are very important in these kinds of awards.
  5. Milan won That was a great game ! Haven't enjoyed a Serie A match like that in a long time.
  6. Really? I was wrongly informed then, my bad .
  7. Hoping Milan and Napoli provide a great game.
  8. Hmm Liverpool beat them at Ewood Park with ease today. We should be able to that as well but we'll just need to step our game from the last weeks.
  9. Villareal - Atletico Madrid 2-0 Good game. Villareal deserved the win. They defended well, Atletico hardly created good chances. And their attacking play was good as well. Rossi's goal was superb, great skill in small space and put the ball in precisely. And Santi Cazorla was joy to watch. Villareal are playing good and attractive football and i'm glad their back after a bad season.
  10. Borriello scored 14 times in 29 league matches so i wouldn't say he had an awful season. Not a great season but a solid one and he scored a lot of beauties. Huntelaar never really got the chance to show his quality. Yet he still managed to score a good amount of goals when you looked at his game time minutes. You never judge a player qualities after just one full season, ask Florent or Didier. Now he's scoring goals for fun at Schalke and the Dutch national team, 9 goals in his last 8 matches. And of course Ibra is a good signing, he's a phenomal player. But what i was trying to say is that the striker role wasn't Milan's greatest concern. Now they have great attackers but average (and very slow) midfielders, weak defenders (except for Thiago Silva and Nesta is still solid) and keepers that can cause you a heart attack. About Robinho, good player but really nothing special. I like the guy cause he's a real entertainer but he's too inconsistent.
  11. Was just about to type something like this. The midfield Gattuso-Pirlo-Seedorf is a complete joke (combined age of 97!). Instead of investing in a good goalkeeper, solid sidebacks and fresh midfielders they went and bought Ibrahimovic, while they already had Borriello and Huntelaar, and Robinho...
  12. Don't agree with you about Silva, he's fantastic player. And he's even getting better and better at City. I thought the PL's physicality would be too much for him but he's shown that he's such an intelligent player. His dribbling, technique and through balls is simply world-class. His shooting is pretty good too and powerful for such a small guy.
  13. Great game on later, Villareal (3rd) - Atletico Madrid (5th). Hope both teams play some great football and score a lot
  14. Yeah they started well but (unfortunately) I don't see them challenging for the title. Madrid and Barcelona are just too good and Valencia's defence is just too weak. They used to have two solid centrebacks (Alexis and Marchena) but they had to sell them and their fullbacks suck as well. Their midfielders and attackers are good though. Would love to see them become champions since their my favorite team in Spain but i don't see it happening.
  15. This will not be a easy game at all. We certainly won't win playing like we did today so we'll absolutely have to step it up. Too bad Frank won't be back.
  16. Wolves didn't make it easy. Gotta give credit to them. 3 points ! Let's hope City and Arsenal ends in a draw after a great game. 2-2 would be nice.
  17. It's like Didier's on a warpath to score a super goal...
