.Ryan Bertrand is not Chelsea through and through. He spent his childhood at Gillingham and then went out on loan almost every year. Nice kid but not a leader by any means either.
-
You mean the types who sing his name at matches still?
-
Do you think he can? I'll be honest I haven't followed his career since he left but what's he done to make you think he's capable?
-
I'm happy to discuss facts. This past summer rather than building on our success, we stood still and maybe even went back whilst strengthening a direct rival and undermining our coach. If you don't think those are facts then that's fine but the aggressive tone might want to be looked at. I'm a fellow fan so maybe exhibit the same respect you'd like in return, golden rule and all that.
-
Hiddink needs time, but he also needs a lot of backing because the club showed no ambition in the summer. Also I think you need to stop with this whole 'mourinhos fans' stuff. Yes it's the internet but we're all Chelsea supporters at the end of the day so why don't we all treat each other like we would in real life. Unless you'd actually call people fanboys as some would on here in a pub pre match in which case I'd like a front row seat to that show. We all wants what's best for the club tomorrow, so what purpose does rehashing the past serve? Instead focus on ways in which we could entice Pochettino here.
-
If you truly think that then you would've commented on the boards decision to hire him. Instead you pretend to be their biggest fan to wind people up. That's a new one to me.
-
I didn't say selling Cech made us 15th because I'm not focusing on one issue. Many things have gone wrong over the last few years, depending on your perspective. If you want to focus on just one point then do that, but hat seems tremendously boring when life offers up,such a rich tapestry. And stop with this 'you're such and such poster'. Complain to the mods if you think that and let them deal with it.
-
Pretty sure the narrative is that we've played ugly for just a year, since the Swansea game. What you're asking for is Guus to be backed with the millions Jose wasn't backed with in summer.
-
Jose is a legend too so not sure what your point is. Cech is a great keeper, a close rival needed a great keeper, I'm what business is it good practice to hand them that when your current manager doesn't want you too. It was a terrible move all around. Cech isn't a baby, he understands that. Roman has a blind spot in this regard which is why he needs to take a step back.
-
A manager who was completely shown up by, amongst others, Jose Mourinho is your choice because you'd rather draw a game like this 3-3 than 0-0.....at best!, That's the issue I have with he board, Roman and some of the fans. The words Jose Out came easy....the next few explaining who'd they like in didn't. The calls for Pep were the most hilarious. And now we've got a coach who has done nothing of note for 6 years.
-
I think you should back your manager and not make his rivals stronger. Roman undermined Jose and in my experience, that's bad no matter what industry you're in. That last bit is just pathetic. Sorry but it's getting annoying now. Bertrand is a decent player and at 26 is showing at consistently. Don't get some peoples fascination with him though,
-
Both teams did their best to not upset that prediction.
-
All that good work Steve Holland did, undone by Guus. Kidding but he's just another of Romans mates. Done nothing since he left Chelsea so don't expect too much too soon.
-
He's known these kids for at least a year. Hiddink probably doesn't even know who Ramires is.
-
Favourite post of the day.
-
No he shouldn't but he was tasked with winning the league and he did....then we all just stopped. The club showed no ambition in the summer. That second part is best answered by someone else probably. I've said my piece and I'm sure someone can do some checks to end the conversation.
-
The issue is that you need to perhaps look,at who is outlining the clubs vision, or lack thereof.
-
Think I mixed my metaphors but I'm on my second bottle of red....understandably.
-
You're right, Everton backed their coachs wishes and fair play to them. If you want to be liked then I understand your viewpoint.
-
Who was building towards that? Because the club then hired Jose knowing exactly what he was. When we designed the stadium we hired architects who specialised in sports stadia. What we did with Jose was hire an architect who, specialises in skyscrapers. You can't then moan when the stadium looks like the Gherkin.
-
There's also backing your coach's wishes. Cech's loyalty was rewarded with millions of pounds but we were within our rights to nit strengthen a rival, especially if Jose said so. He was undermined. I just think we won't agree on much.
-
Good post but it's either 100% Joses fault or you're a fanboy. No nuance, no grey areas.
-
And the adoration of the Chelsea, supporters who still sing his name.
-
He didn't like Luiz because of his mentalist which has been exposed repeatedly. He specifically targeted John Stones which suggests your theory is incorrect. Your man Mike gave him Papy. Oscar wasn't the playmaker last season under Jose. Cesc was. I know some, people in the shed who said that a lot.
-
Fair fucking dos to the Chelsea supporters there though. From the first Mourinho chants at the start of the match they've been in fantastic voice, They deserve far better.
