  1. Fair play to you for having the balls to say that. I'll join you. Never disliked Mikel but not his biggest fan, yet he put in an outstanding performance today. Please keep it up.
  2. Bloody hell. Always amuses me that those with the 'little black book of people I like to moan about on the internet' are so quick to pounce. The guy has been magnificent for us at times but as soon as his form drops, boom. What's happened today is the gauntlet has been thrown down and it's up to him to respond. Our squad isn't big enough to just sell people so unfortunately you have to just support them. Take a leaf out of the book of our wonderful travelling support today and enjoy the result ok lad?
  3. I imagine he wants to get these players playing together as much as possible to learn his new ways. The youngsters have Scunthorpe next weekend. Hopefully.
  4. Age and miles on the clock are a factor in that too. He's not 17 and a pup anymore, he's 25 in a few days with over 400 games under his belt. Not long till he makes a groaning sound getting off the sofa.
  5. Costa's been superb so he deserves that. Just playing football, not fighting or anything.
  6. Nothing to do with Jose. There is a correlation between fitness and injuries though, you're a young lad you must've had at least one PT session where that was made clear to you. One might think if you can find cause for concern for a player's professionalism that it might bleed over into other areas. But you'll disagree so let's just enjoy the result today.
  7. Wasn't as commanding as this. He's orchestrating things and we are in turn dominating. Munich wasn't a great performance, but a great result and a great night.
  8. They didn't give Jose £200 million to spend. Our net spend in Jose's time here was £30 million a season which is surprising for a club of our size. I don't give Emenalo much credit for the reasons stated. When you turn up to the Bridge do you look at him and trust him? I don't and I don't know many who do. I'd rather us appoint someone with a track record of success rather than one of Roman's mates.
  9. Every Mikel touch being cheered. This is his best match ever for us that I can remember.
  10. Exactly It was brought up by people actually at the matches. Even on Twitter you had people commenting on it so I'm surprised you weren't aware.
  11. Mikel is giving an absolute masterclass today. Utterly brilliant.
  12. Piet De Visser was key in mining that Benelux area so I don't know how much I'd put on Emenalo. Do you not think his role is based purely on him being close to Roman rather than merit, as Technical Directors have been appointed at other top clubs? Do you think we should aspirations to behave like those and appoint someone with a better pedigree? Did the last guy not get your full support too? You seem to have been a leading proponent of the Jose Out campaign but don't seem to know what the next two words of that statement are. Also wasn't Jose hired by the board? Yet you trust them to appoint the next guy and make the signings. That interests me.
  13. He's getting older mate. Happens to everyone and now is the time he's got to start looking after himself. He's not quite at the Ricky Hatton stage of ballooning between fights but he does need to start watching how he prepares his body in my opinion.
  14. That point of view may well carry any water if you can honestly answer this question in the affirmative - did he come back for this season in the best possible condition?
  15. Honest question, but who do you want to see in charge of rebuilding? The chap in your avatar or a new guy, possibly in cooperation with the manager? And who do you want the new coach to be?
  16. My Palace supporting mate is moaning about not having Cabaye and Bolasie available. I won't tell him he's right and they're really missing them because it's nice to actually be winning. Mikel is having his best game in years so I'd expect Pardew to get his midfield to apply greater pressure on him. Been a very close game but we're good for our lead and hopefully we can add to it. We won't have a better chance to get an away win.
  17. Absolutely shocking. I thought he phoned in the rest of the season and I thought it was slightly hilarious Brazil were so shit too. Wouldn't have been sad to see him gone then. If the news of Hazard only came from one source then I'd agree but it's widely reported. It's like you saying about Oscar saving himself, again that's not something we can prove but we both agree with it. I just don't think Hazard bases his entire life around football and 99% of people probably have that work/life balance. We just have different expectations as supporters.
  18. Probably genuine but more concern over doing further damage. He did try and continue for a bit and actually broke into a sprint but then went down on his haunches again. I wouldn't like to speculate so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
  19. Mourinho isn't my idol. Think my idol is still Dimmi Kharine. Loved the bloke and his goalkeeping top in 94-95 looked a lot like the chocolate eclairs you'd get in the newsagents just down from the old Fulham Broadway entrance. I'm not criticising Hazard to the hilt. Think the hilt in this place is somewhere closer to calling the guy a cunt and a cancer. I'm mildly questioning his attitude but I'm probably a bit 'old-school' in that regard. Oscar isn't much like Frank either, sadly. I'd still look to offload the guy but he took his goal very well and got into the right position.
  20. My issue with him is simply his attitude. I don't think he prepares himself properly for the start of the season hence his slow starts, every report says how he's the first off the training pitch and into the canteen when we've been used to players like Lamps and Didier putting in the extra hours so they're better players....I just think it's all so easy for him that he's never looked to make himself better and that's fine. He's got a lovely young family and he's doing what he loves but you always want those players who put everything into everything they do don't you?
  21. Pulled a muscle taking a shot. Looked to be at the top of the leg and he asked to come off.
  22. It's not easy for me to criticise Eden, but he's been giving less than 100% for about 5 months now and has asked to be subbed twice in the last two weeks. I get your point and I'd make the same but I'd give him credit when he deserved it. I have done and I explained above my reasons, but I'd also give him credit when he does well. Not a personal attack, I just think we should all pull together and take a leaf out of those supporters at the game.
