  1. No im saying the reason why Pirlo was so good last season wasn't because he has alot of experience but due to the fact that he is a quality player and has been for most of his career! He hasn't just suddenly become a quality player because he has alot of experience!
  2. Yes he is. He is 3rd choice CB! could even be 4th Choice if Maicon can take the RB position and Ivanovic puts in some good performances at CB, it would push Cahill down even further.
  3. which he probably refused because he knew he wasn't going to be a starter.
  4. Exactly! but people will just say Drogba was 'one of a kind' and all that rubbish!
  5. Not true, Milan let him go because Alegri wanted a 'playerbreaker' rather than a 'playmaker' in front of the defense that is why he moved Ambrosini there and Pirlo to LCM. Then Pirlo got injured and then Van Bommel came in to sit in front of the back four and Seedorf came into to the LCM and was outstanding so there was no where for Pirlo to play, then he gets injured again so Milan felt the best thing to do was to let him go.
  6. haha i know! i couldn't resist!
  7. how did know you would say Ashley Cole is 'one of a kind' haha! and in terms of Pirlo why do you think Milan let him go? Milan are famous for prolonging players careers they let him go because they thought he wouldn't fully recover from his injury and that he would never return to the level he was once at! they were wrong, he did recover that is why he is back doing what he does best not because of 'his experience' SMH
  8. This would suggest otherwise! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBb3MkFb3YM how many times did you see Maicon play last Season?
  9. i know thats the point i was making.
  10. that's not a very good comparison! i think everyone knew when we signed Deco he was no where near the player that played for Porto and Barca, no one expected him to be a superstar here. completely different with Maicon, Deco played in a extremely difficult role for us at the top of the diamond in a very narrow team where he had no space and no time on the ball to do anything, at his age that just made things even more difficult for him to adapt, whereas Maicon will have Ramires playing on the right with him, i could see those two dominating that side of the pitch, and make Maicon's job a whole lot easier! I really don't see an issue with Maicon having to adapt at all. and in terms of signing a young RB whats the point? if we sign Debuchy how much playing time will he get? because he has no chance of getting ahead of Ivanovic in the team, it would only damage his development, we are much better off signing Maicon imo.
  11. not really! everyone thought Pirlo was finished because of injuries and his age, but in actual fact he is still class and can still run the show in midfield nothing to do with experience! and why can't you expect Maicon to get up and down the flank at the age of 30??? the guy is an athlete! he still has a good 3 years minimum left in him to be bombing up and down the right flank. Look at Dani Alves and Ashely Cole! he is actually at a good age! with bags of quality and experience, the guy will be in great shape! you cant say you cant expect someone to be able to run because they reach 30! Pirlo and our very own Ashley Cole has proved that theory wrong!
  12. Deco? Lool! do you mean Belletti? anyway, Maicon may be seen as a back up RB, yeah he may not be as good as he was under Mourinho in 2009/10 but he is still a very good RB and is far from 'finished' he is still among one of the best RB's in world football and the challenge coming to Chelsea in arguably the best league in the world could easily help him get back to his best form and actually get ahead of Ivanovic in the team, lets be honest Inter have been a joke since Jose left, no one has really stood out since then, i feel Maicon just needs a new challenge and i can actually see him being a first team starter next season, if he comes. IMO he would be and immense signing! a bit like Pirlo everyone thought he was to old and finished at the start of the season after leaving Milan now look at him!
  13. I doubt they will get Moutinho, i think Man U are after him.
  14. you don't know that yet! It may make our chances better as AVB has a good relationship with RDM and the fact he will probably want Sturridge, so a deal could possibly be made. He knows he has little chance of keeping Modric so you never know.
  15. De Gea Azpilicueta - San Jose - Martinez - Alba Romeu Thiago - Herrera Muniain - Adrian - Mata That Spain team could probably beat England! LOL!!!
  16. not only that but when you give Bale that much space of course you going to get destroyed! (Blame Rafa for that) But next time Bale comes up against us im sure he will have yet another quiet game.
  17. Spain Squad Goalkeepers: David De Gea (Manchester United), Joel Robles (Atletico Madrid), Diego Marino (Villarreal). Defenas: Azpilicueta (Olympique Marseille), Jordi Alba (Barcelona), Javier Martinez (Athletic), Dominguez (Borussia Monchengladbach), Montoya (Barcelona), Botia (Sporting Gijon), San Jose (Athletic), Iñigo Martínez (Real Sociedad .) Media: Thiago Alcántara (Barcelona), Ander Herrera (Athletic), Koke (Atletico Madrid), Oriol Romeu (Chelsea), Isco (Malaga), Mata (Chelsea), Muniain (Athletic). Forwards: Adrian (Atletico Madrid), Álvaro Vázquez (Espanyol), Tello (Barcelona), Rodrigo (Benfica). Ridiculous Squad!!! Surely favorites for Gold!
  18. oh yeah of course if the Terry situation goes pear shaped! then it will certainly be Luiz-Cahill which would still be one of the best CB pairings in the league.
  19. I disagree, at most clubs Cahill would be better than a backup CB but for us that is what he will be, im sure he will still get plenty of games as we have alot of football to play next season so there will be alot of rotating, but Luiz - Terry will surley be our 1st choice CB pairing.
  20. Ivanoivc will be our RB next season! he is quality there! and we also have Cahill and Luiz who are quality CB's so it would make sense to play Branna RB where he is a beast, so one of Cahill/Luiz can play with JT! instead of leaving them both on the bench like your suggesting. Cahill and Luiz are better CB's than Ivanovic, and Ivanovic is the best RB in the PL! you do the maths.
  21. Just realized we are playing in the World Football Challenge 2012 on the US Tour. Makes things more interesting! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_World_Football_Challenge
  22. he is pretty good RW! he isn't good in the double pivot! so where would you play him in a 4-2-3-1?
  23. In a 4-3-3 there is always space to play Ramires in midfield but in a 4-2-3-1 he is better off playing RW
  24. Ramires will get plenty of games next season playing RW.
