you cant compare us with Arsenal! since they last won a trophy how many world class players/or close to that level type players have they actually had in their team? Fabregas, RVP (since last season), Nasri (if im being kind) who else? plus the fact our team has that winning mentality, we are nothing like Arsenal and never will be.

Haha! do you think Hazard is Messi or something! coming to Chelsea is a massive step up for him and if he is asked to track back, i guarantee he will work his socks off to help out! when did you ever see players like Mata and Sturridge run back to help out defensively before last season? Players know if they come to the PL, they have to work for the team and its not like Ash will need alot of help from Hazard anyway all he would have to do is track the oppositions fullback when they go forward. its insane to think that asking Hazard to track back is insane!

Barca has proved that, their defence is terrible but they have won so much over the years because of the way they dominate teams! next season if Modric comes in we would have the players to play a pressing game and have the players to dominate games with possession football. Its that same English mentality of rather having big strong athletes in the team instead if smaller and more technical players that needs changing at Chelsea! the game is evolving and more technical players is the way forward.

Yaya Toure vs Modric who would win at what? at controlling a midfield Modric all day long, Mata has already made Yaya look stupid season, Modric can easily do the same! So you would rather Cabaye? how has he got 'more steel' than Modric? Modric is better than Cabaye at virtually everything!

We also have this pretty good player in the team, he is Brazilian and doesn't stop running and can help out defensively and be a threat going forward you may have heard of him his name is Ramires! This is a much better balanced team. Torres Hazard - Mata - Ramires Modric - Mikel Ramires, Modric and Mikel can all do a job in helping out the back four, Hazard or Mata can also get back to help out Ash, plus the fact if we had Modric, Mata and Hazard in the same team, we would dominate most games. And Modric would control the midfield. so when defending we will look more like this. Torres Mata Hazard-Modric-Mikel-Ramires A.Cole-Terry-Luiz-Ivanovic Cech I don't see the problem, those players are perfect to get around the pitch and close players down fast, not giving them time on the ball, we would also have the players to press the ball high up the pitch. Modric would add a whole new dimension to our team. We wouldn't have to park the bus against many teams ever again. Attack is the best form of defense.

Many players can play multiple positions! but Modric playing in that deeper role at Spurs is what has made him one of the midfielders in the PL! If he comes to Chelsea that is where he will play most of the time! so there is no issue with not needing Modric because Mata plays in his position, because he doesn't.

who doesn't understand the problem with Torres? I have already noted the fact he hasn't scored enough goals! what i dont get is when people say Torres doesn't contribute! or Torres has played bad ever since he has signed for us! and even someone said that Torres doesn't work hard!!! When i hear stuff like that it makes me wonder if people actually watch him play! or do they just hate the guy? stop acting as if im saying not scoring enough goals is ok! when did i say that? Torres should have scored more goals for us by now, but me when i watch football i dont just see if after the game a certain player has scored or not to judge if they played well! i watch what they actually do in the game, and what i have seen from Torres last season has been more than enough to convince me that he will be a success at Chelsea! His movement at running in behind defenders is top class and one of the best i have seen in Europe! unfortunately last season we didn't have the players to open up defenses only Mata was really capable of that last. Next season we will have more creativity and for Torres to be at his best he needs ball played through to him early, basically we need to play to his strengths more. He needs to work on his movement when he gets in the box though as he likes to wait at the edge of the area for the ball to be cut back to him instead of making a run into the 6 yard box. His workrate is one of the best in the team! and probably puts most other strikers to shame, he usually presses the ball and no one else really backs him up, if we can start pressing as a team with the likes of Torres, Hazard, Ramires, Mata ect it would cause teams alot of problems and Torres will be key to us being a team that presses from the front, and Torres has a great opportunity to get that huge confidence boost nice and early in the season as he will most likely start in both cup finals in August against City and Atletico, and a goal or two and a good performance in both games is a great way for him to kickstart his season. The tools are all pretty much there now for Torres to be a success we have more pace, more creativity, more players who can run with the ball all in behind Torres now with more players still to come, from what i can see everything is setting up nicely for Torres to shut alot of people up, who base their argument on stats and not actually watching him play. But all in all what i have seen from Torres tells me that he is more than capable of being a big success at Chelsea. So as i said before this same old Torres argument is getting so boring now so you might as well just give up! because Torres will be leading the line for us next season and the thought of Mata and Hazard roaming around in behind Torres and playing balls through to him, is a very very exciting prospect for me!

Well he has now scored 9 goals in his last 12 starts for club and country! That's pretty consistent to me.

I agree that style of football was good to watch in 2009! now i am just bored of it now! I watch Barca play every week! (only because i usually have a bet on Messi to score a hattick most weeks) so thats really the only entertaining thing for me when i watch Barca play is just to cheer on Messi! but apart from that they are so dull and boring to watch! same goes with Spain! It must be so frustrating for Torres at times playing in that team!

Spain just like to pass the ball around and side to side for 5 minutes before trying to play it through to Torres! if they just played balls in to Torres straight away when he make his runs then Torres would get plenty more very good chances to score! he keeps making good runs but the Spanish midfield just love to take their time!

he wasn't anything special at the start of the season! Where was he when his team lost 3-0 to Man U? where was he when his team lost 5-1 to City? where was he for his country against England in the first half of the season? no where as usual! that game against Inter has made him become one of the most overrated players on the planet! any decent RB can easily defend against him, he is only effective, when he is given space, but everyone knows how he plays now that is why you will never see him put in a performance like he did at the San Siro again!

what is all this talk of Bale about? he is so overrated!!!!!! please someone tell me more than one amazing performance from Bale since the Inter game? and if anyone thinks Bale is going to be world class or should come to Chelsea they need their head tested!!!

Forget Bale! this is the Modric thread! I think we just have to sign the little Croat up! he will be the final piece of the jigsaw that would allow us to play teams off the park on a regular basis! People think if we have Mata, Marin, Hazard and Modric in the same team we will be to lightweight! but when have you ever seen players like Xavi, Iniesta and Silva get bullied in games? The game is changing now even in the PL, it will continue to get less physical and more technical. So i wouldn't worry about us being to lightweight! Teams would just be to worried about trying to stop us from playing them off the park, and trying to bully our smaller players wont work!

He would be a good squad player certainly an upgrade on Kalou.
