You missed the joke my friend, look at the picture again ;).
-
Im with you on Mudryk, the club messed up 😂
-
He fumbled up that chance and got lucky to be honest. And saying that when we had players like Silva, Kante, Chilly, even Giroud, who had more impact on that CL than Kai.
-
He's not played in that position for 5 years, and most teams don't play with a classic number 10 anymore anyway. Yeah, move on, he's really a mid player, im glad we got 75m for that donkey lover.
-
What's his position? He's not a 10, not a 9, not a winger, not a 8. The guy isnt a great passer, finisher or dribbler, cannot beat his man. He's a hard worker, great at defending (as a 9), and has good overall link-up play. Did you see the sitter he missed again today? He has missed MASSIVE chances in almost all of Arsenal last 5 games, and their fans are now seeing what we knew already when they took him from us, he's decent at best. Never good enough for a top team.
-
Yeah i agree, he's not that talented really. Just extremely fast, have a good pass in the locker on a good day, but he's missing all the basics. Can't control, can't dribble, no football IQ, no defensive intensity. He's a mistake, sadly.
-
Haha you guys are nuts. He's arguably one of the best left-backs in europe, top 3 for us this season, and you're talking about selling him. 😂
-
Just swap Lavia and Caicedo and this is good to go ;).
-
Ok ok, people deluding themselves here, and saying Caiceido isn't that good, that he is not generational, well he is, insane talent and we messed up. We move on, but extremely disappointing from our board to let our number 1 target go, and for an extra ~15M£. Man am i pissed..
-
No longer in that category i am afraid. He's clearly over his prime and has been for some time now.
-
I read recently that his salary was also heavily incentivized. I can't remember the exact figure, but it was 375k base salary rising up to something like 500/600k with bonuses.
-
Yeah that's him, so sharp lol.
-
He got played on Brighton's goal though. Put in a decent shift besides that i agree.
-
Playing one touch, give and go, ready to make the defensive efforts. I fell in love in 90 min. I'm not one to overhype youngsters, but if he can stay fit and grounded, he can become an amazing player. He has THE thing. We should only entertain keeping him if the club seriously considers him for rotation here this season. If not he should go get playing time in Strasbourg or somewhere else.
-
He looks like an absolute gem. Amazing close control and dribbling skills, but he also seem to have awesome vision and a deadly pass in the locker. I for one, am completely hyped by this young lad. I think he'll be massive!!!
-
I think you're right, thanks for pointing it out 😊
-
Thanks man! Yeah that's a ~£118M differential between last season and next, plus a ~£103M net profit on sales, a huge positive boost for our next accounting period. We'll probably end up in the green in spite of our massive outlay last season lol. It might also help understand how a certain sale value is defined by the club. For all outgoing players on which an accounting loss will be recorded, it offsets their amortization in the books for next season. ex: we lose 7.75M£ on K2, but his amortization cost for next season was going to be 8.25M£, so its a "clean" offset, on top of salary saved.
-
Hey guys, i know some of you are interested in this topic, so i'll post it here. This is a table i made with salary + amortization cost for our players (comparison between last season and next one). Made some hypothesis on salaries and sales amounts (in yellow), and the salary figures are taken from Capology. This was intended for a french speaking discord initially, so some titles are in french :).

Lots of OL fans don't rate him. I've gone over the OL forums and all agree he has immense talent but lacks football brain and intelligence. A great deal wants to sell him. For me it is a huge red flag when your own fan base doubts your capacity of making it at the highest level. I don't know him enough to make up my own mind, but i'll trust their judgment, and i would be against this move.
-
I would understand other clubs complaining if let's say we were to get 50M£ for Ziyech or K2, but the amounts being discussed seem to be aligned with market value for those players. The big obstacle we had was moving those players with their respective wages. That is a totally different matter, and that's between the players and the Saudi clubs. People are just envious it's happening to us and not their club that's all :D.

I am not from Mexico, i live there. The racism card is thrown constantly, everywhere. I just expect some good arguments put forward if someone is going to imply that a player did not get a ballon d'or because of race.
-
That's a compelling case i'll admit 😉 Maybe he deserved it that year, or Ronnie again. In any case i felt it was beautiful that a DC got it for once.
-
Not what he said at all, lol. But yeah let's move on.
-
Ok so what do you mean exactly?
-
There's a reason Weah is still the only African to win the Ballon d'Or, and it has nothing to do with the talent of those who have followed him. Wasn't it implied here? That's certainly how i read your post and i am sure many others would arrive to the same conclusions.
