  1. Yeah, of course the door will always be open for a coaching return... Love the guy. He'll be missed for sure.
  2. Against stoke we will need more physicality... Cech Azpi GC. JT Luis Zouma Matic Cesc Willian Remy/Costa Hazard and Cech just to bring him a step closer to record clean sheets.
  3. Because he has been in decline for the last 2 seasons... I'm pretty sure RLC could do a dribble of more than 2 yds. THAT is why I don't like Ramires. No ball control. All he has is raw speed. He is one of the most frustrating players of this season for me, he's had so many good opportunities but has failed to finish. I'm sorry, but I just can't see what you see in him. Btw I don't just turn on Ramires when we lose.
  4. Exacerbated midfield problems vs Hull. Someone referred to Matic being average, I believe it's due to him having to cover so much ground. Oscar, despite being technically deficient, he does add a defensive element. When we went to 4-3-3 after Ramires was subbed with Oscar next to Cesc our midfield immediately stabilised. I noticed he was drifting onto the wings a lot too. His decline as a player has simply been amazing, despite the fact I have never been much of a fan of Ramires. Could use with an upgrade on him, a B2B CM such as Gundogan before RLC matures.
  5. Reminds me of Van Ginkel... In my mind, if not for his unfortunate injuries he would be with the first team now...
  6. yeah, he's just coming back to form. Still, we have King Remy to turn to otherwise!
  7. Hopefully coming back to form now, which is good for us... Want to see the 4-3-3 again, Oscar looked like he was finally coming back off holiday... Maybe the resurgence of the squad we saw pre-Jan 1. Such a shame it didn't come against PSG...
  8. Don't think so. He was shit today and I can't remember a time in this season where he hasn't been shit for us. Hauled off for Oscar pretty much at half time as he left Matic with so much work to do that Hull with 5 at the back overran our midfield. I really just can't see how you can justify him being in the first team ahead of Ruben atm, let alone Mikel....
  9. Why is everyone blaming Cahill, he made so many defensive headers, clearances and tackles. Both goals were directly or indirectly Ivanovic's fault, he is the man to be dropped, let Cahill play next to Azpi before we make the final judgment on him. I think Zouma was not benched because Cahill was in good form, but that I think Jose likes him as a super sub, because we've seen that he can change the profile of both the midfield and the defence if needed.
  10. Cahill wasn't that bad. It's not easy trying to be an RB and a CB all at the same time. IMO, the main problem was Ivanovic, although Cahill wasn't exactly being Varane in that game either. Zouma's tackle after the Matic foul was orgasmic.
  11. Remy MOTM for me, made the difference in the game. Him or Luis, who had a good game. Looks like Cesc is finally coming back on form, too. All good omens for us. If City slip up one more time the title is ours, with or without the Leicester game, imo.
  12. Haha, yes I noticed. Are you sure Cesc is the false 9?
  13. hmm, seems Zouma is in midfield rather than defence. 4-4-2.
  14. Cuadrado's coming on too. Would like to see Remy feature more - Games like this, I wish we played 2 strikers. I lied about Cuadrado, he's gone back to the bench. Zouma is coming on by the look of it.
  15. At least we're looking the stronger side now.
  16. Ivanovic, for sure. Cahill actually looks alright when he is on his one on ones, usually because Ivanovic is still half way up the pitch, while Iva just lets them cross into the box with little argument.
  17. Why? There have been no successful moves on his flank.
  18. fuck, and that has completely unnerved us.
