Yes darling, you made our players look and feel 'better then they are'. It's clear as a day now. And go and take most of credit for our EPL title because of that. But why on the earth would someone do that? In a club who cries for stability, for long term plans, for players developing. That wasn't good for our players, no good for a long term of our club. Good only for Mourinho's record (not saying that it was the reason he done that, ofc.) And now... Players are even worse than they REALLY was last years, and blame for that lies partly on you.
-
Premier league defenders would tear him apart. Please no.
-
Then I was wrong about him, first time ever that I hear that he is no good.
-
I say let's put him on transfer list. If no one bids until summer... Sell him to Leo DiCaprio, he might have some money.
-
I think sooner or later, one of Ramires - Mikel will need to leave the club, for some other better players to have their place in the team. Which one and when, don't know. There are just too many midfielders in our squad, and when you look at the end of the day what we have - nothing. Off-form Matić and Fabregas and bunch of average back ups. Sooner rather than later... Just look at Bayern, for example. They are extreme about that, but still. Xabi, Vidal, Martinez, Alcantara, Rode and even Lahm and Alaba, for that two midfield positions.
-
Well, I think our 'double' is still in the cabinet, so... Nothing ruined.
-
Exactly. There's no such thing as "consistently underperforming".
-
Well, I'm no Bundesliga expert, don't know if you are. Maybe someone who was watching Bundesliga this season regularly could tell us?
-
Well, if Hazard AND Oscar are both out... Willian and Pedro are starters, I guess. And third player behind striker in that 4-2-3-1 must be someone of youngsters then? Or will we see reincarnation of true number #7 Ramires there?
-
I think Gundo is physically a lot better than Xavi and more suited for EPL. But Xavi was at Barcelona, so there's that. I see Gundo more like a Modrić.
-
Then what's the deal? I never said Gundogan is better player than Pogba. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with me watching football or watching which player is better. I'm no blind man to tell you that Gundogan is better player than Pogba - he isn't. But they might be close. I just think Gundogan would be smarter buy, for cheaper price and still (near) world-class. He is only 25, too, he can still develop. It's pretty certain that we offered a load of money for Pogba last summer - they rejected it. Also, I think Gundo would be safer pursuit, with bigger opportunity of player really coming. Don't want to see Stones-like saga again. I think that was pretty pathetic actually, like there are no other defenders at the market. ... For me, football is becoming about who invests better. Not who spends more like before. Nowadays everyone have money, and lot of clubs could afford 60+ million players, United and Arsenal are the best examples.
-
Ok sir, explain me why then. Gundogan isn't good enough for us?
-
I think his dribbling is decent, close control with ball at his feet is ok. But yes, overall ball control is not so good - receiving ball and his first touch. I find that more important for a central midfielder than his good dribbling ability, for example. Xabi Alonso and Kroos are the best examples of opposite thing, that's why they are so great. Lampard was something like that, too. Their first touch is great/good, and their second touch is mostly pass, rarely dribbling - they are not so great dribblers, and they don't even need to be. But I think he has that in himself, he is one fine player, just needs to work it out. Anyway... I really hope that Hiddink sees that he cannot be a lot worse than Oscar. Should really give him more of this half-gamers.
-
Would take Gundogan instead of Pogba with my eyes closed. Take Gundo and give RLC chance to become world-beater, that should be enough.
-
That tackle at 4:39 is so Zouma-esque. Best thing he did in the game, bar scoring a goal, of course.
-
If we are really going to get this mofo, give Juve Oscar and that Cuadrado guy, he is playing good for them. And give them 20 millions with those two. They will never get a better deal than that, especially with Cuadrado already playing good there.
-
Agree with this. He was nowhere to be found at the beggining. That is why Mou always said that Ruben still lacks tactical awarenes, I guess.
-
That missed chance today was just too much for me. He is known for being dangerous striker, but this... Work rate is there, link up too, but it's not enough. He is just what Willian was when he just got here. And about adapting... He is 28. We can't wait until his 30 to adapt.
-
I think it's better to play RLC from 45' to 90'+, than 0' to ~ 60' min, like Mourinho sometimes did. All youngsters, not just him. It's the time when opponents are already a bit tired, and there is no scare that our youngster will get too tired in last 45 minutes. And there is always one under-performer in team who can be taken off for youth (usually Oscar). Was a bit dissapointed with starting line up, but with those three subs it's all great. Keep it up, Guus. EDIT: If we somehow manage to play 4-3-3 with Matić-RLC-Fabregas and make it work, that could be the best thing that happened to this squad this season. --------------Matić------------- ---------RLC------------------- --------------Fabregas------- --------------------------------- Willian---------------Hazard ------------Costa-------------
-
One thing I tought he will bring us - efficiency. He is failing big time. I'm starting to lose faith in him.
-
You cannot be captain and get yourself a yellow like that. Performance was maybe even decent, but what was going on in his head? Damn.
-
Ivanović, nice touch. Get yourself a red, come on. -.-
-
Mikel for Ramires now, Kenedy for Pedro later.
-
This whole "lack of this, lack of that" will be gone as soon as he scores a goal. A then it will be, "omg, he is finally his old self, yaay!". I think he is trying, giving himself, and he tried to stay on pitch even injured (hip injury), but was later taken off. This time he went out more rapidly after injury, so what? He is missing for 2-3 weeks, that injury can't be so minor! It's just... He made standards of his play so high last years. BUT... He WAS NEVER a player who runs like a maniac, who is all over the pitch and who tries the most. I don't see any difference with that actually, only now his attacking play is not so good, ofc, and people are slating him for every little normal thing. Well, he was never a hard worker on pitch, my friends. Why didn't you slated him before then, too? Yeah, because he scored.
-
Well, it seems that you and me want different things. I want someone who will help to build up play, you want someone who will efficiently finish attacks. Ok, Hazard HAS much better technique - ON THE BALL. That is what I meant, it's obvious. It's ok that Bale is better FK taker, has better shot etc., but will those things build our attacks and make our play better? Certainly not. That's why I said that he is talisman, which is very useful - player who can drive entire team forward. Never said that he is "magician". Hazard scored some good goals with his left foot last season, even from long distance. Don't need to mention with his right. When I say "better dribbler", I mean better close control. I don't call 'good dribbling' when player just kick the ball up-front and runs like a maniac. (Bale and Bartra situation in cup game, for example, usually way of Bale's getting past opponent). Player like that - I call fast, and decent dribbler. You don't need to show me Bale's dribbles, anyone can look good on Youtube. Hazard statistically has, bar Messi, the best number of successful dribbles in past years. They are different players, for sure. But what do you need/want more? In ideal world, they would both be in same team and that would work out perfectly. Hazard on one side who is more creative, better on ball... And Bale on other side who is more direct and better finisher. We actually need both of them, but if we lose Hazard and don't get Reus... It's no good - we are then turning into (only) counter-attacking team again. You'd be left out only with Fabregas to build up our play (LOL). And... Mikel, ofc. EDIT: I don't know how I didn't see this earlier... Bale - Hazard comparison is something like C. Ronaldo - Messi comparison. Don't need to mention that I would never pick CR instead of Messi. But let's not start that topic, it's coming out of people's ears. Here are some stats, there is no major difference. Domestic league + Europe (domestic cups excluded) Bale goals|assists: 2014/15: 15|10 2013/14: 21|16 Spurs: 2012/13: 24|7 2011/12: 9|10 Hazard goals|assists: 2014/15: 17|11 2013/14: 16|7 2012/13: 10|14 Lille: 2011/12: 20|17
