  1. Don't think I've seen a player who has such a 50/50 split when it comes to rating him. I agree with iseah100 ... I rate him but just don't think he'd look good under any other system than the one he's used to.
  2. Some of you might think I'm talking shite but about half-way in the first half I thought to myself "fuck, we're winning this", before we looked like scoring, the way we were set up was perfect imo and the end result reflects that. Our defence just looked solid - proper solid, one of those games I just KNEW they weren't scoring, and to top it off, while it wasn't perfect our counter-attacking was good enough to cause them problems. Basically my point is there really was no point in this game were I was ever worried, I knew the result would come and I hope we stick with the 4-3-3 in the bigger games, we look more compact. I've still not got over the fact it's the first trophy for this new team, Mou's first trophy in a couple of years... brilliant. (Also to the Canadian guy above, don't delete your account mate, no need. :blue scalf: )
  3. Bit half cut, wasted 30 odd on the bookies but what a cracking performance, best I've seen this season. We looked comfortable for most of the game, pure solid defensively and our counter-attacking was great. The way we set up was brilliant imo, and I saw it right away, soak up the pressure and bang counter attack - classic. My motm was JT, would have been Cahill but the goal Oh and City losing points, cracking Sunday
  4. Boring game, crumbled under pressure too easily BUT a good result imo.
  5. Cracking result at a tough ground, wasn't a "fun" or "enjoyable" game but fuck that, that's why we're first. Villa looked quite dodgy on the counter so that explains the Mikel for Oscar sub. Can't really add much that hasn't been said but for anyone annoyed by us always going more defensive after the 69-72nd minute, I think today shows why - We killed the game and essentially made their best chance of getting a goal (from a counter) impossible. I saw earlier in the thread some people against this type of play and think if we don't go more defensive we'll easily get another 2 or 3 but that's bollocks imo, we're at their ground, their crowd and at the end of the day it's 11 men vs 11 men. Tactics were spot on.
  6. Good result considering the pool match and some first team players not available. We didn't need to win this one, City sort of did and couldn't so that'll be a big hit on their confidence and hopefully they slip up. Zouma was cracking, I like Cahill, a lot but he's gonna have to fight for that RCB position. I think the criticism on Oscar is silly, he's not a normal #10. I always preferred him over Mata when he was here because of what he offers off the ball and how un-selfish he is.
  7. Drunk thread on this forum? half cut and I feel like talking shegite for a minute haha, 21 today
  8. No mention of the penalty that should have been given from the SS panel. (2 liverpool and 1 man utd pundit, not surprised)
  9. Ref was utter wank BUT we shouldn't have even let them equalise, failed to kill the game off, we were rubbish going forward bar Hazard. Lucky to get a point tbh, Courtois saved our arse at least 3 times.
  10. Played shite but the Ref has been a fucking joke the whole game, unbelievable.
  11. Di Maria showing us what he's learned at Madrid. Diving prick, few times today he's done that.
  12. Love Ronaldo, my favourite player BUT I'd never want to see him at Chelsea (now). Age vs Wage per week wouldn't be worth it and he'd either force Hazard out the team or out of position, he'd be the focus of our attacks which would make us play predictable like last season. In saying all that, I'd be bloody ecstatic if he signed so yes, I'm a hypocrite haha.
  13. Don't think he's overrated at all, he's probably one of the top 3 keepers playing just now. He does everything you expect a keeper to do and then some, icing on the cake is his age and we'll have him for a long time. I'd say the only "flaw" I've seen is his distribution but it's only been poor a couple of times.
