  1. Willian and Schurrle are both not up to it in this Chelsea side. They'd be good for an Arsenal or Liverpool but I think they're depth at best. Reus would be perfect.
  2. Surgery isn't the worst news. At least after the surgery has been completed he won't have any problems with it. I think we should bite the bullet over Christmas or when we have a relatively easy six weeks and get him in ASAP. Remy is a great player who can fill his shoes for the time being and six weeks will not feel like a lot of time in the long run.
  3. Such a nothing game against a weak opposition. Play whoever and get the scrappy win and focus on QPR who will be buzzing of confidence after defeating Aston Villa. And have I read correctly, we play a CL game against Maribor in Maribor TWO DAYS before a trip to Anfield?!?!
  4. Di Maria is better than Hazard. He's the best player in the PL right now and would be the third best player in the world. Hazard has a higher ceiling but I think currently Angel is playing better football.
  5. Costa has been ruled out according to various sources. It's his groin. Rest him until the Liverpool game. I hope this doesn't affect his form. As for Remy who knows, I reckon he will miss as well. A muscle strain is usually a few weeks. Drogba can't lead us against United. It's worth trying Schurrle again.
  6. You say Remy is confident he will be fit then post an unrelated article? You got me...
  7. C'MON DIEGOOOOOOO BE FIT PLEASE
  8. I have a feeling Costa will play. I also have a feeling he missed the past two games so he could be fit for this one. Didn't Jose say when Costa returned from international break he didn't want to miss a training session and wanted to get straight back into it? Then all of a sudden he's injured his hamstring and he is out indefinitely. Maybe I'm looking into it too much. I just never buy into Jose's bullshit lol. Having said all that I wouldn't under estimate them. They've been pathetic this season but they still have some incredible talent in their side. I think it will be high scoring. We should definitely try and expose their rubbish defence early on while they're trying to settle then just control the tempo throughout the rest of the game. My prediction is 3 - 1 Hazard with two and Costa with one. MOTM Hazard
  9. A complete game in my opinion. Had control throughout the whole duration and they never looked like scoring and were never close. Oscar was sensational and did all the one percenters. His work rate when he didn't have the ball was outstanding and in possession he was clean and efficient. Cesc was unbelievable. He did everything. He made Ozil his bitch and played such a well rounded game. That assist to Costa was centimetre perfect. MOTM for me. Matic was Matic. An absolute beast who makes it difficult for opposition to break through. I even thought Mikel's cameo when he came on was a great contribution. Eden Hazard's run was Messi-like. If he does that more often he will become an absolute nightmare for defenders. They couldn't get the ball off him. Chambers got owned. The defence was rock solid. Each played their role well and never gave an inch. I felt more comfortable when Cech came on for some reason. He just looked sharp and his distribution is slightly better than Courtois'. Thought Costa had an off game despite the goal. Loved his goal celebration though. Shows how much he bleeds for the team. World class finish. The only negative thing I have to say was Schurrle's decision making was poor. He needs a break. Willian should play in front of him for now. Costa seemed frustrated with him a lot at times as well. Would like to see them link up better. Overall great day. Up the blues!
  10. On current form Suarez is the best in the world
  11. 12 months ago we would lose points in this game. I believe we're a lot better now and we should start punishing these minnows. Chelsea 3 Swansea 0 Costa 11 Hazard 20 Hazard 89
  12. Am I the only one who doesn't want Falcao? We need a backup striker. Someone like Remy or Bony are ideal. Falcao won't play with Costa. Our weakness is Oscar. He's just not up to it at the moment and I can see him fatiguing even more later on in the season.
  13. Anyone who thinks Drogba is capable of scoring against Arsenal this season is deluded. He's so far past it, it's almost embarrassing having him as a second striker. We are doomed if Costa goes down. Worst signing of the summer in my opinion. As for Khedira, he's world class. People saying we don't 'need' him because we have Matic, Ramires, MvG and Mikel, is exactly like saying we don't 'need' another striker because we have Costa, Drogba and Torres. All signings are luxuries when you already have a full squad, it's about improving whatever areas you can. Khedira is an improvement on Ramires, MvG and Mikel. If you think otherwise you haven't seen enough of him.
  14. Cech will go for 10 million in my opinion.
  15. Express and Metro are reporting he's leaving as he's not a first choice player and was dropped from Madrid's UEFA Super Cup side. Arsenal and Chelsea leading the race to buy him. I would still love him to be honest, works as hard as Ramires but has a lot more talent. Matic and Khedira would unstoppable in PL. I feel as though Arsenal need him a lot more and he would complete their side. They would be favourites for mine if they sign Khedira.
  16. Well there lies their problem, they're not in form and form is extremely hard to come by. It doesn't happen by the flick of the switch. RvP is cooked. He couldn't even run out the World Cup and he's not getting any younger. Completely different to Spurs. Lallana, who is proven in PL, is the only new signee that has a guaranteed starting position in their XI. They've focussed on buying depth, the one area they were severely lacking in last season. I think they've addressed all their problems except for buying another striker, but when you look at our strike force, theirs doesn't seem too bad... We need a f***ing striker
  17. Please. Liverpool's attack were undoubtedly good last season and almost won them the title. It's fine to acknowledge that. My comment is merely highlighting the fact United won't be title competitors this season as they have half the attack Liverpool had, who even fell short themselves.
  18. I'm not worried about United at all. Rooney has been horrible of late, as has Van Persie, who is also turning 32 and getting on a bit. Those two are no comparison to Suarez and Sturridge last year. Plus Liverpool had Gerrard bossing the midfield with Sterling, Henderson and Coutinho running riot. They had a formidable attack with the occasional defender in Skrtel floating forward and netting a few. United are still at least two elite players from competiting for the title.
  19. I thought you were insinuating he would be plan B if Sturridge goes down. I don't think Markovic or Lambert are good enough for a side with top four aspirations and Champions League.
  20. Markovic, a 19 year old attacking midfielder in his first season with the club, leading their strike force in Champions League and Premier League? That's a lot of responsibility
  21. Nah, there are reports claiming Liverpool called the Remy deal off because they couldn't sell Borini to Sunderland. They're stuck with him, for now anyway.
  22. Going into the season with Sturridge, Lambert and Borini as your strike force is incredibly worrying for them. Imagine if Sturridge goes down.
