Kieran Mckenna is coming 💩💩

Shortly after arriving at Brighton, De Zerbi demoted R. Sanchez from first-choice goalkeeper to third-choice! De Zerbi, like Tuchel, would take on anyone who didn't play along and kick them out of the team. Winstanley and Jewell were involved in De Zerbi's arrival at Brighton.😁 👀Not to mention that David Weir will soon be back once his so-called garden vacation comes to an end. Weir chose De Zerbi as his coach in Brighton back then.

Colwill was outstanding under De Zerbi at Brighton. Apparently, Jewell and Egbhali, who watch every Strasbourg game live at the stadium, talked to De Zerbi about the sunny weather... 🌞

Sam Jewell, Levi Colwill and Behdad Egbhali with Roberto De Zerbi at full time of Strasbourg - Marseille today. 👀

Joao Pedro only trained for the first time yesterday after his own fitness issues following Man Utd match last weekend. He is expected to be fine for inclusion vs Brighton tomorrow! (@kierangill_DM)

Oh dear, things are looking grim for Enzo Maresca with so many players injured now that he's being so stubborn with formations and player selections!!!

Chelsea had a large delegation in the directors’ box on Saturday. There was Eghbali, Winstanley, Stewart, Joe Shields, Sam Jewell, Daniel Finkelstein. Among their travelling party was David Weir, less than 2 weeks after his surprise departure from Brighton as technical director. (via @kierangill_DM)

Interesting While Rio starts tonight against Southampton. Uncomfortable

And we wonder why our young players aren't getting any better!

Ryan Kavuma-McQueen is here in Lincoln but he is not in the matchday squad. So he misses the U21 game that’s against a League One senior side just so he can travel for vibes with our seniors? That’s just dumb.
-
So it turns out Guiu isn’t cup-tied because of a rule change, but Chelsea didn’t know so he hasn’t travelled. George will start as a striker😏 😏

Maresca on Liverpool: "The players they have decided to buy show the intention of the club to go again for the Premier League and the Champions League, and that is quite clear." Continued: "If Liverpool continue in this way, I think it is impossible to catch them, not just for us, but for all the clubs. They have been doing a fantastic job since last year..." Maresca: “I’d love to rest Tosin and Trev. The problem is that we also have Wes Fofana playing after a long time. So if we rest Tosin, if we rest Trev, and if we rest Wes, probably I need to play some part of the game. We don't have defenders, so some of them need to play.” Maresca says he’s very worried about Chelsea slipping up tomorrow in this type of game. Maresca says the target this season is to continue to improve players and continue to close the gap. With Chelsea we are always saying next season we will start competing. Then when that season starts we say it about the next one. It is definitely frustrating. From "I've fallen in love with Acheampong" to "I might have to play myself" in just a few months, that's crazy.😠 Maresca did put his trust in Josh for the PL season opener, and Josh repaid him with a literal MOTM performance. 0 minutes since then... make it make sense.☠️ Maresca speaking out against the board/directors, aka how you know it's the beginning of the end for a manager.
-
Maresca on Palmer: “It's a problem for a long time for him, his groin. He wanted to play this game, so the effort is huge but after 20 minutes, he decided it was too much.” Enzo Maresca on whether Acheampong was injured: "No, Josh is just because we had Tosin [Adarabioyo], Malo [Gusto] was on the bench also, we had already two defenders, so it was just for that, not for any other reason." eddie howe went toe to toe with liverpool with 10 men, whilst this guy took off all his attackers v the worst united team of all time

Mykhailo Mudryk has decided to pursue a career in athletics and his aim is to represent Ukraine in Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. He has chosen to change his football cleats for track spikes. (@marca)

Chelsea's defense is bloody awful!!

Chelsea plans for 2026: “I’m told Chelsea are looking at several opportunities for example at centre back. If there’s a young player with some good quality then for Chelsea “it’s always time” for a good opportunity, currently tracking many talents especially from abroad.” (@FabrizioRomano)
-
In the summer transfer window, Juventus considered the possibility of signing Emanuel Emegha. In the Premier League, there was interest from Aston. And then from Champions League club Bayern Munich. (@FabrizioRomano) Chelsea are looking to extend Moises Caicedo’s contract with a pay rise which could take him to a salary of £200,000

Ouattara was offside and interfered with Reece James' vision and clearance. But we aren't making noise about it. That's part of the game. We move.
-
Teams like Real Madrid Liverpool and Bayern Munich wanted to steal Josh Acheampong from Chelsea. Can't start for us over Chalobah and Adarabioyo, this is why top young talents leave the club. Maresca always says he loves him, fucking play him.
-
Bayern Munich inquired on deadline day about Sterling when they were in negotiations with Chelsea over Jackson. Napoli were also interested. For reasons that are not clear, Sterling seemed reluctant to move overseas, or potentially even away from London. Manchester United were interested in the summer of last year and got little encouragement from the player. (@SamWallaceTel)
-
What a terrible result. Why did we bring Guiu back if he can't even make it onto the bench? Plus, George just isn't good enough! He was practically gone, and now he's playing here again, mainly as a striker instead of Guiu. Terrible.

David Datro Fofana is on loan at Karagümrük. Buy option (€8 million).
-
New: Romeo Lavia not ready to return for Chelsea's trip to Brentford. Same goes for Benoit Badiashile. Enzo Maresca: "Both are close, but not available for tomorrow."
