Strasbourg CB Ismaël Doukouré could join Chelsea next summer. (@CyrilOlives)

Interesting While Rio starts tonight against Southampton. Uncomfortable

And we wonder why our young players aren't getting any better!

Ryan Kavuma-McQueen is here in Lincoln but he is not in the matchday squad. So he misses the U21 game that’s against a League One senior side just so he can travel for vibes with our seniors? That’s just dumb.
-
So it turns out Guiu isn’t cup-tied because of a rule change, but Chelsea didn’t know so he hasn’t travelled. George will start as a striker😏 😏

Maresca on Liverpool: "The players they have decided to buy show the intention of the club to go again for the Premier League and the Champions League, and that is quite clear." Continued: "If Liverpool continue in this way, I think it is impossible to catch them, not just for us, but for all the clubs. They have been doing a fantastic job since last year..." Maresca: “I’d love to rest Tosin and Trev. The problem is that we also have Wes Fofana playing after a long time. So if we rest Tosin, if we rest Trev, and if we rest Wes, probably I need to play some part of the game. We don't have defenders, so some of them need to play.” Maresca says he’s very worried about Chelsea slipping up tomorrow in this type of game. Maresca says the target this season is to continue to improve players and continue to close the gap. With Chelsea we are always saying next season we will start competing. Then when that season starts we say it about the next one. It is definitely frustrating. From "I've fallen in love with Acheampong" to "I might have to play myself" in just a few months, that's crazy.😠 Maresca did put his trust in Josh for the PL season opener, and Josh repaid him with a literal MOTM performance. 0 minutes since then... make it make sense.☠️ Maresca speaking out against the board/directors, aka how you know it's the beginning of the end for a manager.
-
Maresca on Palmer: “It's a problem for a long time for him, his groin. He wanted to play this game, so the effort is huge but after 20 minutes, he decided it was too much.” Enzo Maresca on whether Acheampong was injured: "No, Josh is just because we had Tosin [Adarabioyo], Malo [Gusto] was on the bench also, we had already two defenders, so it was just for that, not for any other reason." eddie howe went toe to toe with liverpool with 10 men, whilst this guy took off all his attackers v the worst united team of all time

Mykhailo Mudryk has decided to pursue a career in athletics and his aim is to represent Ukraine in Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. He has chosen to change his football cleats for track spikes. (@marca)

Chelsea's defense is bloody awful!!

Chelsea plans for 2026: “I’m told Chelsea are looking at several opportunities for example at centre back. If there’s a young player with some good quality then for Chelsea “it’s always time” for a good opportunity, currently tracking many talents especially from abroad.” (@FabrizioRomano)

In the summer transfer window, Juventus considered the possibility of signing Emanuel Emegha. In the Premier League, there was interest from Aston. And then from Champions League club Bayern Munich. (@FabrizioRomano) Chelsea are looking to extend Moises Caicedo’s contract with a pay rise which could take him to a salary of £200,000

Ouattara was offside and interfered with Reece James' vision and clearance. But we aren't making noise about it. That's part of the game. We move.
-
Teams like Real Madrid Liverpool and Bayern Munich wanted to steal Josh Acheampong from Chelsea. Can't start for us over Chalobah and Adarabioyo, this is why top young talents leave the club. Maresca always says he loves him, fucking play him.

Bayern Munich inquired on deadline day about Sterling when they were in negotiations with Chelsea over Jackson. Napoli were also interested. For reasons that are not clear, Sterling seemed reluctant to move overseas, or potentially even away from London. Manchester United were interested in the summer of last year and got little encouragement from the player. (@SamWallaceTel)

What a terrible result. Why did we bring Guiu back if he can't even make it onto the bench? Plus, George just isn't good enough! He was practically gone, and now he's playing here again, mainly as a striker instead of Guiu. Terrible.

David Datro Fofana is on loan at Karagümrük. Buy option (€8 million).

New: Romeo Lavia not ready to return for Chelsea's trip to Brentford. Same goes for Benoit Badiashile. Enzo Maresca: "Both are close, but not available for tomorrow."
-
16yo Reggie Walsh trained with CFC first team this week Enzo Maresca: "I like all the academy guys but Reggie is the one I like more than the rest. He is doing things I'm demanding from others, but he is doing those things without me asking him. I don't need to ask him." Maresca on Mheuka and Ryan Kavuma McQueen: “They are both in my plans, for sure. Shimmy was already with us and played some games for us last year. Ryan is more of a winger.” Maresca on Mheuka and Ryan Kavuma McQueen: 🗣 "They are both in my plans, for sure. I was watching when Ryan scored four goals against Germany, so I was very impressed, but I already knew him. One of my staff is always watching the youth team; they told me he was very good." “Any way back for Sterling and Disasi?” Maresca: “With us? No”

I don't know what's wrong with Sheva, he still has nightmares about his time at Chelsea. The Ukrainian Football Federation can pay us and Donetsk compensation for Mudryk because of his suspension.💪

EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea will sign Emanuel Emegha in 2026, pre agreement done. Here we go! CFC anticipate Champions League and Premier League clubs keen on Emegha as he wanted to stay at Strasbourg, lead them in Europe… …and then join Chelsea on 7 year contract from 2026. (Fabrizio Romano)

The transfers which raised potential concerns during the takeover process are believed to include deals for players such as Eden Hazard, Samuel Eto’o and Willian. [@SkyKaveh]

💥Shakhtar to Sue UAF Over Mudryk Doping Case. According to Ukrainian journalist Igor Burbas, Mykhailo Mudryk’s former club, Shakhtar Donetsk, is preparing a lawsuit against the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) if it is confirmed that the player received banned substances while in the national team camp. The club argues that due to a potential suspension, they could lose up to €30 million in performance-related bonuses from Chelsea. The report also states that the president of the UAF, Andriy Shevchenko, may be indirectly involved in the case of Mudryk allegedly using a substance containing meldonium. This information was reported by Ua-football.com, citing its own sources. According to Burbas, it was likely Shevchenko who gave the green light for Mudryk to receive stem cell injections: "Most likely, Shevchenko authorized the stem cell injections for Mudryk, since Andriy Mykolayovych uses them himself for anti-aging purposes," Burbas said. According to Burbas, Mudryk suffered from ailments during the national team's training camp that prevented him from playing at full capacity. Mudryk has not played for Chelsea since the end of November last year. The winger has not played for Chelsea since the end of November last year and is currently awaiting the outcome of his case. Mudryk is said to have passed a lie detector test and has consistently maintained his innocence throughout the situation. The Ukrainian international faces a four-year ban. Mudryk is currently excluded from training at Chelsea's Cobham training center, but the club is said to have provided him with a fitness program.

Especially when you consider what City is accused of and nothing has happened to them to date. Chelsea is simply hated everywhere, that's a fact! Now the English and German media have plenty to write and discuss again. Martyn Ziegler is already on a roll.
