  1. Interesting we haven't been linked with a backup option. Either means the club want Pogba because he's a star not because they think we necessariliy have a CM issue or they are confident of getting a deal done.
  2. West Brom have been abysmal as well expect a good result, have a bit of faith
  3. Me every Sunday Kick-off during the season. Im a zombie on mondays hahah
  4. I don't see him as a flop. If he was bought for a large transfer fee and he was obviously purchased to be a crucial player then yes he was flop, but that wasn't the case. From day one he was seen as a player that could push for first team selection and he did that for the most part. We made money on him in a year and a bit and he delivered what we expected, it didn't work out for him but he was not a flop.
  5. Hazard is the highest paid player on our books though?
  6. He hasn't had a real chance yet mate. He comes on when we are chasing a game with 10 minutes to go, generally meaning the whole teams been average. He's only started 1 or 2 games, give him a chance to influence the game from the start.
  7. I was thinking Robben as well, I think you're right which top 5. Thats pretty good for a 24 year old, his development lately has been great
  8. I personally think Suarez is just ahead of him maybe at the moment. Only just, Hazard needs to do it in Europe to go to the next level
  9. You go on to rival pages and it exactly the same thing. They will be talking about 5-6 players on their forum that they think can do them damage, that we don't even think about. Nature of a football fan we can be quite negative when we analyse our own teams.
  10. Result is fantastic! Another positiveI though was Oscar when he came on. He seemed to add composure and direction, good to see. Hopefully he hits some form in the run in.
  11. I don't think signing a "galactico" per say is really the best option. If you look at clubs that like to do it, it's not necessarily brought success. It's great for the fans and generates excitement but most of the time there is a cheaper alternative that has the same utility. Look at sides like Atletico, Juventus and even Manchester United under Fergie, they proved a team with some big names with a number of players that aren't huge names but fill the role the coach needs can still outperform a team of superstars. Im not trying to say that Schneidelin would be better for Chelsea than say Pogba. But historically, there is a lot more value with the cheaper alternatives. Look at Madrid for example Bale for stupid money or would you say Griezmann would have been a better alternative? Maybe we are looking for gems like him.
  12. I think Pogba and Oscar play similar roles already in the system that we currently use. Oscar spends a lot of his time deeper already
  13. Can't believe the negativity on these forums its insane. In terms of league form you can hardly ask for better, yet the moaning is incredible. We havent wont the league in 5 years yet people expect us to be dominating like bayern munich or something. Let the boys lift the trophy this season and then we will start talking about winning in style next season. This season to me is a building block
  14. Next season I would have Zouma as a realistic starter ahead of Cahill, alongside Terry. I'd bring Kenneth Omeruo back as a second backup to Cahill/Zouma and that saves us about 20m going in the market for aother CB. Zouma has proved that he deserves to be a real long term project
  15. Theres "no way Jose" will leave out Ramires. We might see Fabregas playing more advance or a tweak of the system and play a 433
  16. Some of the comments on here are sad. A bad result will bring negative emotions and perspectives, some people need to learn to control themselves, because its embarassing at times. In a few weeks when we're still on top this will be forgotten. As fans we have had a magic season, hardly gets any better, yet a bad result people are reacting unbelievably negative. Chins up and move on! KTBFFH
  17. Id rather we slot Thorgan into the squad
  18. The Cahill reactions have been way over the top. He's been class for the last couple of years. Suddenly it's a "risk" to play him. Experienced player he'll do the job today.
  19. Agreed mate, hit an absolute screamer mid-week
  20. I love this man, massive presence on the pitch, like Jose said a "monster" and seems a gent off the pitch. Glad he is getting the recognition, he's the type of player any club would love.
  21. Ramires playing does not mean we are going to sit back and park the bus. It just allows us to press and try and dominate their midfield 3 and keep the ball.
  22. I thought he looked a lot better today. Didn't get that final ball or pass but he looked to keep up well and contribute more.
