Three under-performing players who need to up their game for Chelsea
stroey replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Chelsea Articles
I agree, Mikel was a great Chelsea servant and will always be remembered (especially his games vs Barca in the UCL winning season), but we should get an upgrade on him to have more quality depth and competition. -
I understand Essien19's point of view, this was basically the second home of zolayes. And I can imagine, as a 80 year old fan, it's one of the best and most comfortable hobby's to chat at home with your Chelsea buddy's. Zolayes was probably the biggest bully on the forum (also bullied me), so I understand this ban, but at the same time he was also one funny guy and was the ''grumpy grandpa'' of the TC family. Maybe a 2 week ban as final warning was better, but I completely respect the decision of the staff. @zolayes: if you're reading, you will be missed and we wish you a merry x-mas and a happy new year! @others: enjoy your holiday and time with your family, Merry Christmas to all! ,

Chelsea are also plotting bids for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, 22, and Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann. #cfc [star] Chelsea could finance the move by selling playmaker Eden Hazard. #cfc [star] It's Star I know...but the idea of Griezmann and Pogba for Eden and some cash...thoughts?

Chelsea HQ @Chelsea_HQ 2 minHiddink: "If you don't have a desire to play, then please knock on my door and we will talk briefly." Hiddink: "Didier Drogba is a legend at #Chelsea and also outside this club. It would be nice to connect these people to this club."

The club sacked him twice, what do you expect him to do at 52 years old with another 15-20 years in front of him? To retire? No matter how people look at him, he's still an elite manager that is wanted by the biggest clubs and there are not so many big clubs where he can go. You can't expect him to coach Crystal Palace or QPR. His family loves England, and for him his family is also very important: “My passion for England starts with my passion for English football. The life in England comes after that. I came to England for the first time because I wanted so much to have the experience of English football. After that, yes, you learn how to love to live in England – particularly in London – and obviously to be back for the second time was also a factor because working in Portugal, Spain, Italy, obviously in London I have a little bit more space to live with my family and a normal life. England and London gives a privacy we can’t get anywhere else.

Lol anyone who knows Mourinho's history would say that's not true. He is very competitive and would never start a season with clear leaks in the squad but we did. Let's start with summer 2013-14 - He wanted a striker, everybody knows Jose won't start a season without a proper world class striker but in the end we got an overweight and old (but still had some class) Eto'o to be our savior. That's basically giving your rivals a handicap on you. 2013-14 winter transfer window - we got 1 target Matic, but we got no striker. 2014-15 summer was good - we got our targets. 2014-15 winter window - only change was Schurrle (who wanted to leave for game time) for Cuadrado but it was clear Jose wanted a midfielder - why? He always plays Cesc as 10 and the squad player Ramires as CDM next to Matic. He knew Ramires lacked technical abilities but a midfield in big games with Oscar and Cesc was a no go. 2015-16 summer window - he clearly stated that he wanted a midfielder and defender, but he was not backed at all. We got Baba without a preseason with us, Djilobodji and Hector on deadline day and let Cech go to Arsenal - that summed up the backing he got from the board in the summer. So basically, since summer 2014-15 we did not improve the squad at all. Jose has not been backed for a full year with a clear hole in central midfield, our starting right back as 31/32 year old and our starting CB as 34/35 year old.

If you meant identity in terms of attacking/possession/dominant football I'd say OK Guardiola will give you that. If you meant identity in terms of having a ''gentlemen'' as the club's manager, I'd suggest you look at this video: He did this to his medical team and after that they resigned. So if people think Jose is an asshole, then Pep is also one.

Chelsea target Diego Simeone would demand control of transfer policy to take charge at Stamford Bridge Exclusive: Atletico Madrid manager feels final say on purchases is non-negotiable condition of becoming long-term successor to Jose Mourinho Roman Abramovich will have to change Chelsea’s transfer strategy to make Diego Simeone the club’s next permanent manager as the Argentine would demand the final say over technical director Michael Emenalo on all incoming players. The Chelsea owner has made Simeone one of his top targets, along with Pep Guardiola, to take over at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, following last week’s decision to sack Jose Mourinho and install Guus Hiddink as caretaker manager.Hiddink made himself popular with the Chelsea players on his first official day of working with them when he changed their Christmas plans to give them Boxing Day night with their families after the game against Watford in an attempt to improve a mood that became tense under Mourinho. While Hiddink attempts to save Chelsea’s season, Abramovich must look for his next permanent appointment and faces a dilemma over Atlético Madrid manager Simeone, who would immediately want at least five new players to follow him as part of a Stamford Bridge rebuild.A source close to Simeone told The Telegraph that he is extremely happy at Atlético and will only consider quitting Spain for Chelsea if all of his conditions are met. The final say over all incoming transfers would be a “non-negotiable”.Emenalo plays a big role in Chelsea’s transfer business and Mourinho even admitted he had nothing to do with the summer signing of central defender Papy Djilobodji.Abramovich essentially backed Emenalo over Mourinho by not signing any of the big-name outfield stars the Portuguese wanted in the summer, other than Radamel Falcao on loan, and then holding the 52-year-old to account for the abysmal Premier League title defence. With no permanent manager at Chelsea, Emenalo will take sole charge of the club’s January transfer window plans and chase targets such as Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy and Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Alex Teixeira. But Simeone would not stand for any Emenalo signings in the mould of Djilobodji or Michael Hector, who was immediately loaned back to Championship club Reading.Simeone works closely with Atlético sporting director José Luis Caminero but retains the final say and right of veto over any incoming signings and the 45-year-old would not be prepared to give that up.That would put Abramovich in the tricky position of either having to choose between Emenalo and Simeone, or attempting to negotiate some sort of compromise that suits both parties. If Abramovich refuses Simeone’s demands, or cannot convince Guardiola to snub Manchester City, he would turn his attention to Italy coach Antonio Conte or Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri. Hiring Simeone would be an expensive process. The former midfielder earns £4.4 million net at Atlético and his buy-out clause, which would have to be met, is just under £15 million.Abramovich would also have to make big funds available to Simeone, who would want the freedom to make major changes to the first-team squad.Although he has previously shown an interest in managing in the Premier League, Simeone does not speak English.Peter Kenyon, the former Chelsea chief executive, could play a major part in any negotiations between the Blues and Atlético, as he is an official adviser to the Spanish club’s board.Hiddink held a low-key first full training session yesterday, as he discussed the remaining targets for the season in a 3pm team meeting and then put the Chelsea squad through their paces with assistants Steve Holland and Eddie Newton. After Watford, Chelsea face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Dec 28.Meanwhile, Chelsea and Vitesse Arnhem have been cleared of having an improper relationship by the Dutch football association. The independent probe established no undue influence by Chelsea over the Dutch club, to whom they have been regularly loaning players over the past five years, following allegations by former owner Merab Jordania that Chelsea heavily influenced policy at the club. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/12065449/Chelsea-target-Diego-Simeone-would-demand-control-of-transfer-policy-to-take-charge-at-Stamford-Bridge.html No way that Simeone, Guardiola or any manager should get the full say on transfers over Chelsea's number one legend Emenalo

Already posted and I share this guy's feelings and thoughts. But at this forum people will only laugh at these kinds of videos, just look at how many Emenalo avatars there are currently.

Me too, his family comes first and they prefer England. In Spain they couldn't have a normal life, his son was bullied/attacked at school etc.

lol media really trolling us, Pellegrini - OK, Mancini - , what next? The return of the great Benitez?

Failed to qualify with Turkey and Netherlands for the Euro's of 2012 and 2016. Anzhi was so-so, below expectations . But at Chelsea he will be a success, he's a relax guy + people manager and that's what players need after feeling so much pressure under Jose. Himself will also feel no pressure because it's only an interim role and he can't do any worse in the league. The January window is also coming, so he can fix some things that were needed to be fixed in the summer. Also, the players feel they have something to prove after all the media stories and the last comments from Mourinho. And if the club can get Drogba as assistant, I can see this season finish surprisingly good, maybe a second FA cup for Hiddink, top 4 and far in the UCL?

Sergi Domínguez @FutbolSergi #MUFC held talks with Jose Mourinho again. Jose made it clear: Real Madrid is his top priority and he needs time to make the decision. Sergi Domínguez @FutbolSergi A man very close to Florentino Perez, @jpedrerol, says Mourinho leaves the door open for a return to Madrid. He knows he'll return one day.

I don't know him so well, I think @CHOULO19 could answer this question for you.

Dave O’Connell @DaveOCKOP Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis has confirmed Pep Guardiola is joining Manchester City this summer according to BeIN Sports. #BPL

The team he left behind is a title winning side that broke records, hardly a bad team. But it needed to be freshen up and it lacked depth, it's a natural process. If you don't strengthen, you will go backwards.

Simeone + assistant

TheMaticPocket 6 min.Hiddink: "The team is not in a great state, the squad is ready for rebuilding. In this coming period it is about working towards the future" Hiddink comes in and shares the same thoughts Jose had in the summer, too bad the board didn't back him, too bad.
