Just because Madrid are interested? Lol ok

I agree with you on the geezer part. Made me chuckle too. He did reject a lot of clubs, especially in La Liga tbf. Also, he was favourite to take over from LvG after his last season at United, until we sacked Mourinho. I have only watched UCL games from his time and read complex tactical articles (mostly cause I'm a tactical nerd). I remember he took PSG to the next level, for sure. When we faced PSG, it always felt like we are the underdogs instead, although we had a much greater squad strength. He also introduced Rabiot and Marquinhos, who are now key players for them. He doesn't come out as a revolutionary like Sarri, but he has exactly the same CV (maybe even better) as Conte, when the Italian joined us. 3 consecutive league titles in a league where it seemed like it was a one horse race. Not very good performances in Europe. Although he does have an edge in Knockout competitions over Conte in his UCL achievements and domestic cups. Also, his season at Bordeaux where he won the title quite astonishingly and went unbeaten with them in a group which had Juve and Bayern Munich in UCL. I'm not saying this cause he's linked to us. If we went on to get Sarri, even then I'd rate Blanc, wherever he goes.

Your post has too much sense. You're not allowed to talk so much sense.

It's important to note that Chelsea don't usually leak information and there's no one really close to the club that leaks information on Twitter like other clubs. Liverpool were the worst, with their team sheets available hours or sometimes a day before kick off. City also has a few leaks here or there. While Chelsea don't. Matt Law usually is clueless, but seems to get the information or a detailed summary, if you may, of the events that have already happened. He usually doesn't know himself, what's going on in the club. Think of the Morata signing. There were rumours about him like we have with Seri and Icardi right now, but it spread on Twitter pretty late and within hours, the deal was announced by the official website. Relax. Not many people know what's going on in the club right now, but they need to sell papers, so they'll just put a few pieces of puzzle together and speculate, to sell papers to Chelsea fans.

Thank you for this! Twitter is the worst for football discussion and I see a lot of it creeping into these parts too
-
It does, Sarri confirmed it in a press conference that he does have a release clause. Napoli owner was demanding the same directly in the media too.
-
So not exactly finished, yeah? "If he was special, he wouldn't be unemployed". These are the worst kind of statements people make. Full of ignorance. He was very much linked with Manchester United while we had Mourinho, only after we sacked him, they went for Jose. He kept turning clubs down to manage Barcelona as well. Also, if you think Sarri is going to be here for more than 3 seasons if we appoint him still, you're dreaming. That doesn't happen at the club. I hate how Chelsea fans behave like kids and don't get the shiney new toy. Yeah, we may have messed up Sarri, but it isn't the end of the world if he doesn't come here.

Even though it's still nowhere near official, I feel people are too quick to jump to conclusions and judgement on Blanc. Have a read, he's not the best out there but he isn't near as bad as being portrayed. Give it a read, this is very insightful https://spielverlagerung.com/2016/02/12/team-analysis-psg/

What do you mean by finished? And why is Blanc so bad? I agree to the fact that he isn't the most attractive manager available, but he's got a great CV which isn't helped by Messi, Neymar and Suarez like that of Enrique's. Or has won trophies unlike Sarri (who had much more funds available to him than Blanc at Bordeaux). There's a case for every manager. Just because we were dreaming of Sarri, we can't be already shitting on a decent available manager.

Too much madness right now, I urge you all to stay away from the Chelsea twitter searches and if the forum is bothering you, then this too. Negativity is at its peak and although there are adversities, there's definitely a lot of over reaction. Keep calm lads. KTBFFH

You need to relax. Don't believe every rumour that pops up. Pochettino just had a press conference where he's said he isn't leaving Spurs. These Sarri to Spurs rumours are just newspapers trying to sell papers cause of the Domino effect. Wait for more.

On a scale of 1-10, how optimistic are we that we'll finally have a good summer in terms of transfers? I'll go first. 7. Last summer was 5 for me, this summer is going to be a bit better, but still not what it used to be 8-10 years back imo
-
It's alright if you don't think he isn't reliable. I do. No one gets it right all the time, but he does get stuff right mostly.
-
You said you're waiting for Sky and Guradians and others to report about this. They have picked it up now..
-
Well, looks like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.
-
I'd understand if he joined Madrid in this transfer window because if his family issues. But if he moves to Liverpool.. I'd be fucking raging.
-
There's a problem though. And that problem is Liverpool. They have been linked with Allison all season. They definitely will need to sign a GK. They seem to be interested in Courtois too. So basically, we have 3 teams in Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea looking for keepers. There seem to be 2 quality Keepers available in Courtois and Allison. Problem is, no UCL for us and if our Board goes down doing deals like they did last summer (taking hell lot of time), we'll be in trouble.
-
Looks like our primary target is Allison. Has had a wonderful season at Roma and is preferred over Ederson for Brazil by Tite. He's worth around 70-80 million pounds for me at least. But with only one year left in his contract, his value is going to take a major hit. We should expect something around 55-60 million pounds at this moment (considering we sell him in summer)
-
DiMarzio is reporting that contract extension talks with Courtois have broken down and we may be looking to move him on. Allison is our primary target if we replace him.

True, don't want us to make the same mistake as Dortmund with Lewa or Arsenal with Sanchez and let him off for nothing or for nominal fees in January.
-
He does get it right a lot of times. One of the most reliable jounos out there. Was the one to break Ancelotti to Napoli recently with photographic proofs. As for Chelsea, he was the one who broke the Morata to Chelsea news last season. Here's the link. https://twitter.com/DiMarzio/status/887637911897866240 I do hope that this once, he's wrong..

https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/chelsea-rottura-con-courtois-real-e-liverpool-sul-belga This is bad news. Article says we're looking at the possibilities of selling him since the contract talks have broken down. Allison is our primary target.
-
Wait.. What?
-
If you want to believe that what you're saying is right. Then go ahead. But it's more about the style of play and Sarri is most probably joining, so whatever point you're trying to make based off the assumption that Roman doesn't want him here, is void.

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/10159102/chelsea-owner-roman-abramovich-was-obsessed-with-pep-guardiola-says-oliver-kay It's pretty public that Roman really wanted Pep at Chelsea at any cost. Just didn't happen for us. Mourinho was a safe choice 5 years back.
