So i was right then Paul Rideout's header, i liked Paul Rideout, he got the winner in the FA Cup final that year from a header too against Man Utd. My first memory of Everton was the semi against Tottenham. They battered yids 4-2, Daniel Amokachi (however u spell that) was unplayable. We drew the away match 3-3, crazy game. Steino and Furlong. Good times!

And we got easily beaten at Goodison last season too. We never lose at home though, i don't know the last time we lost at home to Everton... Maybe Rideout in 94/95? Not sure. Our away record at Villa is pathetic, no win there from 1998-2009! But we have great home records against Everton, Man Utd and Tottenham.

Surplus to requirements, maybe but he's done so much for this club it's unbelievable. His goal against Norwich was typical Lamps of a few years ago. The Arsenal game showed a lot about our 'new team' though and you would think his contract will not be renewed. Time to move on probably, although if he stays and becomes a squad player, i wont mind. He can play against the Fulhams, Stokes, Villas etc.

Obviously San Marino is a walk over, Poland away will be very tricky but i think we can go there and do the job.

If Greece away is your toughest game in the group, you really have to be looking at qualifying this time. I'm not saying Greece are easy but considering you've never qualified as Bosnia, you've been given a pretty nice chance to finally break the duck. Really hope you do it. Good luck.

We're probably the only country in world football who owes San Marino. In qualifying for USA '94, we needed to beat San Marino by 7 goals and they scored against us after 10 seconds and we won 7-1!! Missed out by a goal against those retards. Gutting. Not entirely sure if we woulda qualified with a 7 goal win but we needed to win by 7 anyway lol to have a chance. Anyway, who are all you guys playing in the next 6 days and how do you think you'll get on?

I'm actually happy for an international break now so we can have a nice break top of the league. Takes the pressure away for a bit and we can relax. Wouldn't it be so good to beat them there though, it's been a few years and with AVB as their manager, be very sweet. My feeling though is that it's got draw written all over it but we can beat them because although they've won their last 4, they weren't that great against Villa and haven't looked good all season on their own patch. I'll be more nervous about the home game because they broke their Old Trafford record after 23 years without a win, it's 22 years since they won at the bridge and with AVB in charge... worrying lol. I think we'll get something off them in 10 days though, we could win it.

Didn't see the game as was at work, this must be the first time in a while where i can watch match of the day n not knowing what our goals were like. Caught a bit of football first and i was a bit worried that Norwich apparently created a few chances which shouldn't be happening but sounded like we coulda scored 10. Great to go into the international break in the position we're in.

Exactly, they're Man Utd, they're not losing all that often so when it's 1-2, they get 5 mins, 1-1 they get 4, 2-1 they get 1. That's why they're not far up the table.

They're useless, they just guess. 1 minute in the first half and 4 in the 2nd. The best i ever saw though was 1 at the end of the 2nd half when we knocked Arsenal out the UCL in '04. Ok it wasn't english officials but i will never forget that moment the 4th official put "1"

They top the clock in Rugby so why not football? It makes a lot of sense to me, then blow the whistle when it gets to 90 when the ball next goes dead. It worries me that Rugby is so far ahead of football.
