yeah, that was my first champs league match also. My ticket was £10 ahh the jouvenile days

we'll be creating AFC Chelsea next if they think their prices are high. Still we have jobs so we can afford it, not surprised £25-35 is too high for them.

Young Players Who Might Have Made It......
Ollie replied to changingman2000's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
David hopkin, i remember him mostly for scoring crystal palaces winner in the 1997 play off final vs sheffield united with a last minute wonder goal. he didnt do too bad for us but i didnt see him much because i only got into Chelsea at the end of 94. Jody Morris was my fav tho, more my era really he was pretty much a first teamer from 97-2000 really since scoring that goal at blackpool in the coca cola cup or whatever it was called then in 1996. Doobs is another that stands out because again, he was pretty much first team, i'll never forget his shot against the bar against man utd in that semi tho at villa park and that fucking own goal vs liecester when steve guppy decided to become world class for a few seconds. Mark Nicholls kinda dissappeared without warning, he had class. His finishes against coventry and yids were like hes been playing for years. If the likes of Doobs, Paul Hughes, Morris, Granville, Nicholls etc etc were a bit earlier, say 92-95 like Sinclair, Newton, Myers, they wouldve got more of a chance but Chelsea were changing a lot from 96-98. I'd liked to have seen Leon Knight given a chance, he looked very defoe like to me. Couldve done better for himself. In Fact, even Mikael Forssel couldve been one of our best ever strikers, the start of his Chelsea career was electric. -
I was at the Chelsea galatasaray home game and their fans were nuts. They had half the east and west lower and were singing like religious songs to each other, then some crazy bastard ran on with a flag or something.
-
Well theres no way they have a stronger squad. They probably have a better first XI because they all know what they are doing, what their roles are and where they're playing. I still dont think we know our best first team yet but i believe they do. Squad wise tho, injuries/absentees dont hurt us as much as it hurts the rest.

Sometimes it really feels good to be wrong but Arsenal are due to win soon and we're who they have next. I hate games between Chelsea vs Arsenal at the best of times but when they aint won for so long, i'm very wary. Regarding the race, now its interesting. The season has pretty much started again like an 8 game race, Man Utd have a slight advantage but its still very close. If we beat Tottenham & Arsenal, i think we'll win the league but thats a massive if.
-
yep galatsasaray and besiktas did that to us in the past. didnt do much, after the final whistles their fans were crying!
-
would be awesome to see any time. Bring Chelsea back
-
ive modified my post explaining a bit of why i believe that. now we just need a manager who can use them properly.
-
i know so. When Man Utd have Ronaldo & Rooney out, they struggle. All the games that they have lost this season have been without either 1 of those 2 or both. Arsenal are the same without Fabregas and Adebayor, they dont play great without them. Liverpool are all about Gerrard and Torres. Now with us its different. We have cover everywhere and it was shown around christmas time and during the african nations cup. No matter who played for us, we won and we had a good team out.
-
how are we so close to top? it doesnt matter who is in charge, a retard could guide that team to the top 4. Look at the squad, regardless who's in charge, we have the best squad in the league.
-
is roman a jew?
-
Come on, it's hard to win there so its a good result. Any win away from home is a good result. Man utd only beat derby 1-0 so you cant just expect us to thrash every team just because thery are low in the table. Sunderland scored 2 at Arsenal. It wasnt a good performance but it was a hard fought game which we won 1-0. The game went exactly how i thought, was hard at the end but we hung on. Its a big result. Cheer up. Jeremie Aliadiere has just scored for middlesbrough against his old buddies
-
hes left Anelka out the squad and put sheva on the bench, interesting. And hes put Alex with JT and left Carvalho on the bench, also interesting. Its a very good looking team tho.
-
that was awesome actually, very well written and perfectly done and its all spot on too. Well the stuff about Grant and the club is anyway but i personally believe we will win something this season. The manager may be a waste of time but the players are determined to end the season on a high and i have faith that they will. honestly.
-
Sunderland are not a bad side this season, we always struggle there even back in the roker park days we've never done well up there. Its gonna be hard. I'm not expecting a convincing win and i know it wont be a convincing win (said that about west ham tho). Any win there will be a good result. I would take 1-0 right now no danger. Last 2 times we've been there, we've won 2-1 both times and were pretty much 2nd best each time. This aint gonna be easy at all.
-
well if it was rigged, cheers for drawing arsenal & liverpool together and thanks for giving us fenerbahce. highly appriciated
-
i like that idea a lot, it would make perfect sense.
-
kalou scored just 1 vs hull and malouda did score against schalke. That is official, you only need to look at the back of a match day programme and all the REAL stats are somewhere in there anyway.
-
all we can do it sit back and hope. i cant see him staying but i wouldnt put my house on it.
-
in the last 4-5 years 2 prem titles, 3 UCL Semi's, 2 league Cups, 1 FA Cup, 2 2nd place finishes...........What the fuck is the next level? For saying that, i hope Peter Kenyon dies a slow terrible death which puts him through pain and torment for about a week. Him saying Grant can take us to the next level is a complete and utter insult. I never liked Kenyon anyway, in fact i dispise the manc cunt but now hes taking the piss of all pisses.
-
well charlton, sheffield united and watford arent exactly setting the championship alight. its actually quite rare now that a side bounces straight back up, that championship is one tough league.
-
defo looks like him, good to see he's not wating his time when hes injured Fantastic news about the new contract, i was doubting he would stay after the jose departure but i'm so relieved now hes staying. One of the best center backs anywhere.
-
Derby are an embarassment to premiership football. They should be deducted 10 points for the start of next season for being so shit. They will not see top flight football again for a very long time. Definitely the worst prem side ive ever seen.
-
lol surely we cant get liverpool in another semi! i love the draw, arsenal will show us how to fuck liverpool at anfield in a 2nd leg setting up a Chelsea vs arsenal semi and the other semi will be man utd vs Barca, classic game. Chelsea vs Barca final is what i'm hoping for but i think it will be Arsenal vs man Utd.
