  1. Very smart choices, both popular, both intelligent, both know football. Congrats lads.
  2. A fantastic article. Definitely worth translating for our Czech websites.
  3. Oops. Of course, I remember now. My bad. Thanks for the video, Cech had a fantastic game, not so many games tested him so much.
  4. Van Persie injured? Has thigh problems. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/8073216/Van-Persie-concern-for-United That would be something if both Rooney and RVP were injured at the same time. Plus, once RVP gets injured, he seems to never recover.
  5. Wrong. There was no penalty in the game. And Gyan scored the winner.
  6. A game of two halves. Something for you - you are the first team to beat us in this stadium.
  7. Our republic is an utter joke, the crowd are booing which is deserved.

  11. He is probably the only player Cristiano Ronaldo was shitting bricks in front of. Ash almost always got the better of Ronaldo.

  13. Fellaini happy at Everton Everton star Marouane Fellaini has played down reports linking him with a move away from Goodison Park reaffirming his commitment to the club. skysports.com
  14. Goalkeeper Richard Kingson has claimed he rejected a $300,000 offer to throw a match when playing for Ghana at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Kingson, 34, told the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Nigeria that the offer had been made before his team took on Czech Republic in the competition's group stages. He claimed the bribe was to ensure that the Czechs won 2-0 - but he had rejected it after his wife pleaded with him not to lose his dignity. Kingson told the church's broadcast channel Emmanuel TV he had "got confused by weighing the options of getting richer by $300,000 after that match, whereas all that I would get in the event of a Ghana victory would be much less - just $3,000". He explained: "In the 2006 World Cup in Germany, we were about to play Czech Republic. By then they were the second best in the world. "A Ghanaian led me to some people to take a bribe and it was this woman [his wife] who delivered me and delivered Ghanaians. I was very confused and I didn't know what to do but I called her and told her. My wife said: 'Richard, I love you not because of your money, so don't get tempted by this offer to lose your dignity and credibility.'" Goals from Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Muntari saw Ghana beat the Czechs 2-0. They went on to qualify for the knockout phase, in which they were beaten 3-0 by Brazil. espn.co.uk
  15. The thing is he can't fully stretch out his arm. If he does so, he is in pain. I know he is a pro but might this be the reason why, sometimes, he just stands and doesn't 'go' for the ball? Last season there a few goals like this - of course, some beautifl shots but there were some questions on here. He's been in pain for months.
  16. Just saw this bit of news in our press, confirmed by the doc. Petr has been having long-term problems with his elbow so Chelsea FC asked our national team not to call him for friendly games planned for this year. We agreed so Petr will not feature in the Tuesday's game and in following international friendly matches. And after the season, Petr will undergo a surgery. Petr said - 'My arm is injured, it's been some time now. I will miss the following game so I can recover more quickly.' His doc said - 'There's a little ossification in his elbow, after this season he will undergo a surgery in England. He can't fully stretch out his arm. If he does so, it hurts. However, there is nothing that could make the conditition of his elbow worse. Is the surgery urgent? Only in case the soreness is much worse or the elbow would be blocked somehow.'
  17. 8 - All eight penalties England have scored (excl. shootouts) since September 2003 (Beckham) have been taken by Frank Lampard. Expert.
  18. I was not particularly referring to the game, I was talking in general. Just my hope, as at the club level he has been quite poor lately.
  19. I just hope the situation now won't be upside down - he has used to be brilliant for the club and poor for England and I so hope it won't be vice versa.
  20. Hope you didn't jinx it! In the Premiership you can never make such predictions.
