He proved at least two times he is not that selfish as you are implying. He let Gudjohnsen take a penalty in 2004/05 to get his hattrick, he let Drogba take a penalty against Wigan to make him the League's best goalscorer.

Thought Marin was quite good as well when he came on. Made a lot of runs and managed to get past their defenders on a few occassions. Lampard was superbly looking for him, especially that one pass with just one touch.
