He was trying to tell Mesut Özil to play higher up the pitch, but couldn’t reach him. However, he got a chance when Marcel Schmelzer got close to take a throw in. Mourinho went up to him and told him what to tell Özil and Marcel did exactly that. As he delivered the message to Özil, the Real Madrid playmaker seemed confused but looked back at Mourinho and saw confirmation.
