Yesterday we produced fnal efforts, albeit some were very poor like the shot attempts by Barkley and Jorginho that sent the ball sky high. The reason I feel we can't be seen to effect inside the box is because our midfielders are taking it easy and always look for the easy pass. But if they run the opposition, then they can pull defenders out and make things hot up front. The passing game is good but you need to have 3-4 Eden Hazards up front to dance through the eye of the needle (like Barca does in the shape of Messi - Iniesta - Suarez).

The biggest refereeing con in the days before var: Watch what happens. The no 2 standing next to the post handles. But it appears the ref has blue players infront of him and the 4th ref behind the goalmouth also has his view obstructed by the post, If that is not outrageous enough, the tv shows two (2) replays while the two refs were still conferring. The tv crewe -known for their bias in favour of the red team- admit of course it's a penalty and a sending off. But after the end of the replays we see the ref giving a corner kick - no pen ! The match was a cup final - 2 million viewers. A similar thing happened during Concacaf 2015 when Peru scored a handball against Brazil. The only difference was that the Americans did not broadcast the replays while the refs were in conference. But they showed them afterwards. The refs had no right to call the tv studio for advice in both cases.

Water polo was always being refereed like that. But yesterday the VAR officials were cretins.
