  1. Nigerian site says it's fixed with the Turk.
  2. Look there is one thing we say in Greece: Liberty comes before peace. What we have here resembles a Korea situation rather than nuclear war. We are not attacking Russia so the chance for that sort of escalation is 0.00001% and Putin bluffed us with an empty hand. On the other hand given that Biden stated from the beginning there was going to be no NATO intervention, I find it strane Zelensky did n't drop his NATO plans (but maybe this was not going to avert the invasion).
  3. It could n't have been a nuclear holocaust. Don't be silly. However NATO let it be known in advance they were not going to intervene. That makes it strange why he did not agree to at least this Russian demand, to stay out of NATO. Still, I wonder if NATO are scared kittens nowadays.
  4. Putin played the nuclear card and managed to intimidate NATO. It should have happened the other way round. In a nuclear war it takes two to tango. But I don't believe that a third world war need necessarily be nuclear. Because tell me what will be the winning strategy in such a war ? Hiroshima was different. Only the one side had the bomb. Whether it was or was n't a premature decision to use it, it made military sense: We strike them, they have no response, they surrender. But what if both sides have nukes ? Imagine we are back in the days of the D day invasion. We caught the Gerries by surprise, Hitler was asleep and the bridgeheads were secured. But what if the Germans had a nuke ? They nuke the Normandy beaches and no more invasion. Similarly Eisenhower would have known this and he would have cancelled it. So we end up in a situation where we don't know where to start and where to go, in terms of strategy. Don't we ? Except for use as a terror weapon, to strike London for example. But why strike London if they will strike you back at Berlin ? So if both sides have nukes I believe they 're not going to use them because it's futile and they will let a good old conventional war take its course. One proviso is that we don't threaten the nazis with Nuremberg - in our paralled universe WW2. Unpalatable as it may seem Adolph retires to a country estate and just promises he will stay out of politics in the future. So I don't agree at all with NATO's reluctance to get involved and kill the invasion of Ukraine.
  5. It will be a disaster if that Turkish businessman takes the club and nobody will like Chelsea. It's not like the THY advertisement we had a couple of seasons back, it's Turkish ownership and he 's not likely to stay out of political controversy - the way Abramovitch almost managed to do. Turkey at present is a rogue state. They are excused of many thinks because of their important geographical position but it is a rogue state.
  6. Turkey has declared its intentions to "liberate" all the Aegean islands. They even produced a map on tv with funny Turkish names for all the islands:
  7. I was aghast the way that Welsh so called mp attacked him. But as effectively we (the west) are at war he is implicated and moral code calls for him to resign although he is innocent.
  8. He 's Russian and he did n't condemn Putin - only declared he is against the war. So he is a victim of circumstances really. Of course the intensity given to the story is a cover up - Putin's pals in the UK were the brexiters and Boris Johnson:
  9. Chelsea is the big corner shop of Europe. Unless football is considered as no longer a viable proposition for investment, there will be scores of buyers. Hence all those applicants should be vetted for their loyalty to the club as well as for their economic power.
  10. Werner saved the day. Little chance Luton had after the equalizer.
  11. The brexiters only in their doorbells did they forget to write "Boris Johnonides, Russian spy". Now the orgy of hype against Abra.
  12. The government of the arch-Putin brexit spies are not accepting the Ukrainian refugees now.
  13. The real reason for Ukraine is that Putin is afraid of losing his republics. Those putin republics are copies of the "tehero blanco" regimes of South America in the sixties-seventies. He managed to salvage Belarus with the election fraud, then Kazhakstan with the commandoes he sent there. Now he's after Ukraine to prevent further westernization. Abramovitch has loose connection but it's doubtful he has any interests in any of this. He is not prepared to join the resistance to Putin but what's in it for him to support the Putin plans ? It looks like a case of Nana Mouskouris and the Papadopoulos regime of Greece. The great diva did n't want to have anything to do with politics -something Theodorakis did n't like at all- but she was not related to the regime. The biggest Putin supporter was Trump. Then brexit. The "best" of brexit plans was the dissolution of the EU so western Europe is divided into small bickering nations. Not much Boris could do to affect this but that's what they wanted.
  14. Kepa was totally unprepared to take a shot unlike Kelleher. I thought he kicked up some grass but nothing of the sort happened - it was straight into the air. In Lukaku's goal the vertical straight line and Lukaku's arm are skew lines.
  15. What exactly Putin things has Abramovich been doing since 1999 ? Sold nuke secrets, made or financed propaganda ? How and when ? Savvidis of PAOK Salonika of Greece is the one doing it. His tv channel OPEN TV is the pro-Putin channel plus other statements he has made in the past (albeit when things were quiet). These days after the invasion nobody seems to challenge him, although he is guilty of many midsdeameanours: A few days ago -after the Ukraine war was declared- he was arraigned by the court for two years for an invasion of the pitch in 2018 carrying a gun (it was a coincidence the date of the trial). Fifteen days ago PAOK hooligans murdered an innocent young man. They started off as a convoy from PAOK supporters club offices and on the road they killed a man using knives and sickles (!). Then the gang was arrested and they confessed but yesterday in the PAOK match a huge banner was displayed inside the PAOK stadium saying "freedom to our brothers" i.e. the murder gang ! The stupid Grk government are doing nothing about these things, including the Putin connection.
  16. Kelleher is inexperienced so he conceded 10 out of 10 but Kepa looked out of his depth from the beginning. The Liverpudlians knew Kepa's trick: Dive low and fast so if you choose the correct corner it's one save out of two. They never struck low. Always high or in the middle. The way he kicked the ball in the last one is of course one for the comic videos of youtube. I 'm sure Mendy would have done better.
  17. Lukaku is clinical. His problem is he has to be towed.
  18. It's not the armpit. It's the arm. But it looks like the ball has already left the foot of Rudiger I think it is.
  19. Lukaku did score a goal - must have been millimeters offside. Overall he did not impress again but if for any reason it was him in the Pulisic-Mount-Mount chances it would have been three goals.
