  1. I think that the obvious solution is to play fabregass FORWARD when he is man marked. this gives us more space in midfield, will allows us to control the ball at the back and see the picture in front of us. BUT mainly, it would free up space deep for Oscar to drop into an initiate attacks. in the big games he plays to static at the back
  2. I actually think that he is trying to reinvent himself too much that it is hurting his ability to really objectively affect the game. He has not, and I think even a completely top hazard will not ever be a big goal scorer. He has been the most creative player in Europe in this year, I can say that with confidence. An it is this that he should focus on, go back to the eden who gets 15-20 assists a season and improve on that. be the guy who makes the goal, that is who he is. I bet a dribbling monster like him, who gets say 30-35 assists compared to Ronaldo's goals a year will still fight for the award. As for Chelsea, I think it is in our interests to have him as the most creative player, the most dangerous, but with players like costa and maybe another RW who are the goal threat.
  3. Costa has scored against Arsenal at home, Liverpool away (winning goal) hit the post against City (and in a game where their defence played brilliant) missed the united game. I think we have ourselves another big game striker. hope he gets a hatrick against the Scouse and manure at the bridge
  4. I'm sorry, I couldn't tell the difference, with what you said seeming to be the un wanted waste. You have completely missed the point. People are complaining about an increasingly worryingly trend to completely resort to nervous defensive football when we have a one goal lead against a somewhat big team. I'll clarify, not that we are playing defensive football, but stupid defensive football. its not smart to give the opposing team all the time and space until about 15-20 yards from our box. I know from other people's reactions I am not alone in this. City and especially United away came as a result of this. It's not just this one match, mainly because Liverpool were so crap offensively. what about in Europe? I tell you we will not get past PSG, Madrid or Bayern like that. This team seem is more shaky than last year. Don't believe me? check every match day thread where we are one up this season Home or away it doesn't matter. So in future, when people moan about our team adopting a way of playing which can be our downfall towards the end of the season, criticise it for that rather than the completely blind view of 'yeah but this was how the whole match went'
  5. How about you stop spewing pollution. He has a bloody good point, the team's default position is to act like they are under siege, regardless if they are or not. If you cant see the difference between a team that sits deep and defends WITHOUT the ball but when the get it has every intention of trying to play the game out whilst STILL being defensive as opposed to everyone lumping the ball up the pitch waiting for return pressure, regardless if they have time and space, then you have no right to lecture people on what parking the bus and what isn't. But hey, i'll shut it. I'm a moaner right? You just add a disclaimer when new people join the forum *Do not criticise the team. Also, We do not park the bus* Agree with these bloody terms and conditions. Anyway enough with the aggressive posting, 3 points is the most important thing. lets try and keep or even increase our lead in the run up to christmas
  6. our defenders don't help. under a slight pressure? fine play it back to keeper to kick it up and lose it
  7. gosh our players forget how to keep the ball in this situation. hazard just pass it don't keep hold of it. Oscar stop trying to jump on their toes.
  8. slightly annoyed. I think at the moment we are almost cowardly when we thump the ball out when we can just as easily, under small pressure, ball the ball and keep it
  9. cmon costa! but lets get this sorted now. DO NOT BRING ON MIKEL UNTIL 10 MINUTES LEFT THE EARLIEST! IT WILL INVITE UNNECCESARY PRESSURE AND WE WILL NOT DO WELL. 3rd big away game this year. 1 goal up in all, lets see if we learn our lesson
  10. willian doesn't have a brain. its just run and run and run with the ball, cant go anywhere? pass back
  11. willian? would have preffered remy but still a step forward. hopefully for Oscar
  12. Oscar is a waste of space at the moment. a change of formation is in order, hopefully jose pulls his finger out on the hour
  13. just noticed we have remy on the bench! WTH! bring him on in either a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2! with out the ball we essentially play a midfield four of eden cesc matic and ramires anyway. loads of movement up top is what the doctor ordered I feel. plus with the extra pace their defence will naturally fall deep, meaning we either get space in between the midfield or their midfield has to drop deep to, giving us the control. I think we would be able to get the break through either way
  14. I think Ramires should play in a midfield 3, replace Oscar with either willian or schurrle in a 4-3-3. Let cesc get further up near the box.
  15. Oscar not pressing, passing or holding good positions. Cesc is letting the game go by him. Matic may as well Play midfield by himself
  16. Exactly. Just like Ronaldo he is determined to go to Madrid IMO. It's just like anyone who has a specific ambition to follow and route in their career. Real is his 'final promotion' as it were.
  17. I think it's important to distinguish his pro and cons as an individual player and his role in the team. I won't say he has poor technique, we have seen he can be exquisite at times. Rather, his consistency is pretty poor technique wise. Plus he gives stupid fouls. But, his role I'm the team diminishes in terms if technique with the addition of cesc. In fact, all of his pros seem to match cesc's weaknesses. With matic and cesc playing centrally, those stupid fouls seem less dangerous. I think he is more important this year than last year.
  18. Absolutely missed him at united. If he played, our performance would have been more like what we were expected it would be. Against Liverpool he will be needed I think, if we want to go there play well and win. I think at the moment it's between him and willian/schurrle playing. Unfortunately, Ramires seems to be used as a defensive rm in the 4-2-3-1, as opposed to a mid 3 which is his best position IMO. That would allow cesc to get forward more.
  19. Anyways, sterling is good enough for this team period. He'd walk into the rw. But he's not worth the price ended to get him
  20. I completely agree with this 100%. We will win the league and he will play a huge part simply by killing 75% of the teams himself. The other top 5, we will have to rely on out main threats like hazard and costa, but when talking abut players scoring in big games Schurrle should be mentioned. One thing I would hope to see cesc do is put his foot on the ball and just help us control possession more when we are away in the big games. Do that and he will be invaluable.
  21. Oh no you can't say cesc doesn't play well in big games! People will go losing their minds!!!!!
  22. In terms of delivery Di Maria is another level, like 8/10 are amazing. Apart from that I think the most you can expect from a good set piece taker, cesc had given so far
