I actually see Juan as an in between in terms of William and schurrle. He brings schurrles danger and directness with willians pace, control and passing ability. Of course, schurrle may have better finishing, and willian can keep the ball better. But as an overall player I think cuadrado is the stand out attacker.

I think you'll be surprised by how much you like him in the team. If it's around £25m I think it's within a reasonable ball park.
-
Well I would say it's very unlikely to have hair like cuadrado!

Hopefully today is the day

Not possibly our away kit? Just me hoping though

Positive. I see someone who will have a similar but actually bigger impact than that of Ramires. People will say he is greedy which he definitely can be. They may say his shots can be eerily similar to shurrles at times. But the will be just as many where this guy will take the MOM award, as an out and out winger his is top 10 in Europe from the season before (I think everyone will agree he hasn't hit those heights this year) I don't agree when people compare him to Ronaldo, messi, even neymar. They aren't wingers in the sense of wide players who track back are they? Would you say neymar makes his flank his own? No he is an attacking midfielder/striker just like the previous two. Although it's very tricky, it's hard because there are very few out and out wingers now days. Trust me when I say this guy will bring amazing moments to the bridge. Is he the saviour? No but then nobody said he was. He'll fit the system like a glove, specifically the right wing. Our counter attacking will jump to another level and willian will be pushed to perform at his best. Did you see willian's drive last night? I haven't seen him haste and dive to win so many balls he lost, and the cuadradi rumours are not a happy coincidence I would say. So to summarise; Great, dangerous winger More balanced team More potent counter attacks More competition in the squad. Win win!

Think people will be surprised

Watching this thread now!!!!!

Their formation is playing to our weaknesses, they essentially press our cm's man for man and then press our Fb's with their wide men. Terry and Zouma aren't great at starting attack. Then you have Henderson and Lucas on oscar and the 3 CB's squeezing so that there is no space. Are most dangerous is when we draw everyone to one side and then free up ivanovic when Eden nearly scored the return. Hopefully more composure in the second half. Also this Liverpool side is athletic which is why oscar in particular is struggling. He hasn't got tremendous ability at going last people but he's decently fast. In this game, he just cannot power past anyone. Same for William and to an extent hazard.

Sign him up!!! I promise you that if at least 10 more people say sign him up it will happen! I'm not superstitious
-
cuadrado would fit our right like a glove
-
ill be blunt. I cant wait for him to be out of the first 11
-
Haha you caught me! only a handful but trust me my man my gut instinct is stronger than any poster with thousand of minutes of watching him play
-
he wont add anything except take a seat on the bench. lightweight, but to the point is not a very good player. slightly above average but knows how to make himself look like a good one.
-
really hope we get this guy

I don't comment on here regularly, but from the sounds of it we don't have no heart, no fire. Not like the old days. when I was around 10-11 and could actually start watching football properly and understand it, I saw a Chelsea full of fight. Cech, Terry, Carvalho, Gallas, Makelele, Lampard, Duff, Drogba it was full of it! balls as big as the sun and had no problem looking absolutely anyone in the eye and saying come on then. We need that in this time. I see matic, cesc and costa have it. willian? spineless. Oscar has it. I remember at the bridge last year against lucas diving in. I want to see his heart on his sleece more. Hazard? needs to show more heart, more fire. Cahill has none. Zouma, from what I heard today, has it in abundance and he'll make it here for that very reason. Tuesday is the time for the players who want to be apart of the next Chelsea generation to stand up and stake their claim, for the rest stay seated. you'll be weeded out soon enough.

that's a big if!
-
Cuadrado not a fit for chelsea squad or just overplaying it?
-
I'm sorry but every club who is interested in cuadrado will know if we have interest in him or not. Just because fans are kept in the dark you think club executives are? Not a chance. United will know what's happening, as we will with Reus. It's like people think clubs are waking up one day and seeing transfers happen with players they might be interested in and say ' well I never saw that coming!'
-
Willian and cuadrado will both play together in the CL. They can actually compliment each other in the big games.
-
All we can do is wave goodbye in the summer when we buy a replacement, he'll be decent on the bench

Time for me to post again and it should be in this thread. I was always sceptical of how far we could go with oscar in our team, which was weird because I really like him. I hoped if it didn't work out in the 10 role because of limitations or whatnot, he could still make it as a box to box midfielder, but I think it's time to come out and say I was wrong. This season he has taken the trajectory I wanted him to. Consistency is improving, his link up play has become way more consistent, though I think it has improved it was always a case of consistency with him. When I stopped and thought of his goals yesterday for this season, how many rank as our top individual goals? The team play has been our biggest strength this year and the cesc/costa relationship is the gem, but when you look at individual goals which help to open the game, Oscar has in all honesty been our best player, in objective terms. Most goals after costa, and how many were blinders? QPR was world class, palace free kick was art, both goals yesterday were of the highest order. His assist are improving, particularly his crossing from the left. Of course, he isn't finished. His passing can be frustratingly sloppy at times and as noted these Performances are mainly against lower opposition. Having said that, isn't this the trajectory that we expect? Become a small team killer and steadily improve to take it to the bigger stage. Having said all of this, his performance against arsenal at home was electric. Of course, I'll still take a hypocritical step back and say I'm not so sure how far he can go! I'd be happy for him to be a level under world class, say a kind of berbatov. Someone who is a really good player, wins games for the tea, but isn't someone you look to to provide the spark. InB4 berbatov wasn't world class! The guy had the touch of silk!

Schurrle at his best tonight, intelligent, direct and superb shots as well annoyingly over greedy!!
