Nice run matic - JUST SMASH IT
-
Palace just played champagne football. Quality stuff. Is it a shame a chelsea supporter is jealous of that?
-
I kinda miss the days of 4-4-2 when with was where it was at. We could have Pedro and hazard in the wings with Azpi and Baba supporting. Matic and Ruben holding down the middle as you play through the wings.
-
I think you add to the whole experience of transfer windows - and for the record you're respectful too. We'll see if you are just here for the Pogba saga or if you'll stay on here for the season. Who knows you may turn out a blue
-
I'll put my neck on the line - the only hope anyone could point to us getting him is if strong rumours from reputable people keep happening. The facts: We know chelsea have bid for him. Most reputable reports have it at £54m which is very low (and suggests to me a first bid to open proceedings) We know Juventus are after Witsel. I have know idea why they are waiting so late. I think it's reasonable for people to say that we'll at least try for a bid that is actually in the range they value him at, right? But my honest opinion is that if it all goes quiet for days in a row then there's no even a possibility.
-
Very reliable person sure, but him being wrong happens and more often than you think. Also Sky Italia is notorious for being ridiculous actually (it's funny we seem to see each other's media as over reactive and click baiters) we have a joke here which likens it to Sky Nigeria I think. Well can you rule out this ESPN guy knows nothing? I'll probably climb off the fence and say he's heard something from someone he trusts, which asks the question of that guys reliability. Listen, I love to argue but all I'm saying is the are many good reasons why the deal could happen and it's so quiet, I know that it's more likely not though. Everyone does. No Smoke without fire, and we know Chelsea have bid.
-
Sure which is why I hold my tongue on being so sure, but journos don't all go around just telling us there's a rumour do they? They'll either say it a fact and claim their dues for themselves or will mention it if it seems reliable.
-
You mean a ESPN reporter who probably has many contacts? Can't see why not. An Italian or French journo does not increase their reliability.
-
Sssh. Stop being a fool and being all observant - or you'll get the Old Lady supporters telling you how they can whip up a record breaking bidding war over their Mr Pogba
-
I thought Khedira was?
-
I think he's either right and there's no chance or that he hasn't got a clue because he's not getting any information. Thing is, he was really quiet when the ESPN guy came out with the rumour. If he knew otherwise, I can't see a journo not coming out to say another is wrong. Brownie points and all that.
-
I wonder why a bidding war didn't happen earlier this summer? You know, when barca bid? I keep hearing that all the top clubs are going to come and create this bidding war but city, PSG and Mardid were nowhere when barca bid earlier. I wouldn't bet on a bidding war.
-
Exactly, when i and everyone got excited that this would happen was when that ESPN guy said it could. Is it impossible that Di Marzio just isn't getting the info? It's even likely that we want it all hushed, and perhaps even Juve, in case the deal doesn't happen. As I said, deal is more likely not going to happen bit it's still possible and may be even gaining momentum. This is what the transfer window is all about, sit back and get excited.
-
Is everyone in Italy asking why Juventis did all of their transfers early in the summer yet took so long to get a player in a position they need? 96%?
-
Seems that everyone goes apeshit around 5/6 onwards - perhaps that means negotiations (or just communication if you're skeptical of a move) happens early afternoon and then is leaked hours later. I'd wait till around 5 to hear any decent news
-
Isla was brought back too.
-
£65m I thinkEDIT: actually £63m which was 80m. Juventud would be getting 20m more
-
Because juve then says to the fans that they sold him for the same amount as Ronaldo. That barrier means a lot in football - same amount if money as one of the greatest of a generation. Also, if it's true that we have offered 8m to pogba, that means we haven't just been told no.
-
Certainly not bad.
-
1. I'd like to see you turn down 90m Euros (£70m) 2. Means little. 3. Means little. 4. Hence the amount of money you will get when you sell him. 5. But a truck load of money and the fact you need to rebuild a team that has been half sold helps. 6. Good point, that's why I'm not overly sure it will happen bit there is a chance. 7. Again, money talks. 8. Madrid have Kroos, Modric, James, Kovatic, Isco. They won't bid. Raiola even suggested he not go there. Barca? Let's see if they enter a bidding war. So, at the end it seems that pogba is unlikely - but everyone agrees. What we point out though, is that a monstrous amount of money can rebuke loads of your points - football is a business at this age.
-
How do you know? I think it's unlikely but not impossible. Especially if chelsea offer LOADS of money. An offer juventus will be stupid to turn down. Also, have you heard of out board member marina? She's a shark at negotiating - could negotiate a tea party between ISIS and the Vatican.
-
Exactly. Stones plays!
-
I thought Pedro's place would be as the number 1 impact sub. - I thought his 'tunnel vision' would mean he could never settle the RW once and for all. I love it when I'm wrong. Bring in Pogba and we're back to champagne football - What the hell has happened with cesc and matic?!
-
Please sweeten the deal for pogba
-
So apparently juventus have notified Barcelona if our bid. Is that good? On one hand that is far from Di Marzio's intial 'he is not for sale' and actual indicates the desire for a bidding war. Ergo, he is available. But do chelsea get into bidding wars with barca and who will pogba likely choose. On second thoughts, don't answer that last one.
