Good goal, but alonso really isnt solid defensively!!

Southampton will press us well. They will be ridiculously hard to break down. So, a really good test for the 343 passing the ball out, building attacks and defending against a front 3 through the middle with fullbacks providing width (kinda like Liverpool). That also means big test for Alonso and Moses. How will Kante and Matic fair against a true midfield 3? If we play well, thats a big incentive for thinking the 343 should stay the season.

I think playing a 3412 will be our most dangerous formation. Zouma D.Luiz Apzi Moses Kante Matic Alonso Hazard Batshuayi Costa Problem is off the ball. At the moment we will back into a 541 without the ball, or that's the plan at least. Pedro, willian and even Oscar can fill in as a RM when defending, dont know if Batshuayi can. It should be our line up in home games against lower opposition though!

Decisions decisions. Fabregas only suits a 352 if you play 3 at the back. I wouldnt mind taking off either moses or willian for him. Would maybe add more bite. On the other hand, if you are playing top up top Batshuayi and Costa is the preferred option. They looked so promising with the little time they had at Leicester. Then what of Hazard? Kante has had his best game though, luiz gets time on the ball so im interested in playing 3 at the back for a few games.

We just have no bite. We are getting in so many good crossing situations and opportunities for dangerous passes around the box.

No. . . 3 at the back with 2 centre midfielders. That is what kante is and that is his position this match. Matic us no box to box but that is hus position. Hardly defensive.
