Conte on his 424: “There’s been too much talk on this particular way of playing. In actuality it’s a 4-4-2. I know of course novelty makes sometimes a great topic of discussion. If instead of saying ‘4-2-4′ I had said ‘4-4-2′ from the very beginning, we wouldn’t be discussing this ‘innovation’. Maybe all it is is just a normal idea of play. It is a normal 4-4-2. I think in England most teams that are winning are applying this type of module, which enables you to cover the playing field in the best possible way I think.” Interesting, in England most teams who are winning are playing 442. Could that be our formation? His comments about ‘covering the playing field’ are interesting, reminiscent of Arsene Wenger’s comments (albeit now five years ago): “I think it’s simply the most rational formation in most cases. In fact, it’s the essence of reason. With a 4-4-2, 60% of your players are occupying 60% of the pitch. No other formation is as efficient at covering space.” this HTML class. I think we should think carefully about selling him. Perhaps it would be best. I don't think he will ever run the league again like last season - does anyone else think that either Hazard has lost athleticism or the rest of the league suddenly became incredibly athletic?! He can't seem to face someone one on one and run past them. He's either out muscled or out sprinted. Take out his dribbling ability, what has he got? His is not a goal scorer. His good at assists, but I'm questioning whether that can't be replaced relatively easily. He's absolutely terrible at pressing with Costa and Willian. He actually slows down the game and hesitates on the ball which is only good when he is at his dribbling best, when he's not then it's detrimental to our attacks. When he's back to his best, I will change my mind in a snap, but the doubts are starting to grow that he's lot interest in England now he's won the league. Pep is at city, Jose most probably at United. Most importantly, his mind just sucks. Even cesc is seeing it. Not only should that give you food for thought about how much potential he fulfills, but especially how dangerous it is to base your team around him. He need to rebuild and at huge sale of Oscar and Hazard could really allow the manager to rebuild the team.

Always great full for you updating with what the rumours are, Big Pete.

Explain why you aren't convinced

I think Max will go to Chelsea and will do very well . And ' one of the five best coaches in the world , will go away from Juventus , still does not make sense to remain in Italy . " Giovanni Galeone is convinced that at the end of this season Massimiliano Allegri will leave Turin and accept the proposal of the Blues . And if to be convinced is his mentor, perhaps , would agree to believe. PROPOSAL FANTASTIC - The news about the future of coach Juventus has left England , where for several days , the British tabloid talk of an offer of 10 million per season for four years . indispensable offer according Galeone , who in an interview granted to Radio Radio , said: " For me it will go away from Italy, and I see him well in England because the proposed Abramovich is really fantastic . " COACH AT " MAX " - Contacts between Allegri and his great teacher ( so he called himself) have never interrupted . Galleon is a kind of father to the coach , tied to Juve until 2017 : "He's doing very well , indeed authentic miracles , with game idea not his because he asked for two years a playmaker and they only pretended to take it . E ' was just as good at reinventing Dybala player behind the strikers . " Honey words for his favorite pupil .

Good thing about Simeone above the others is that he is hot property. He is up there with Pep and Jose. So, if he demands significant transfer activity, you can be damn sure he'll. Get it, especially when the club sees now how bare the manager options are
-
Yeh because we have a midfield that can keep the ball for more than 4 passes, I'm sure baba will help with that
-
Yeh because baba rahman's defence is as water tight as the Thames barrier. If the only reasonfor playing a fullback is because he's a good attacker, you better hope you have the ball more often than not
-
why is that?

I cant see the manager being decided until the last month of the season. Hopefully, it will follow a long and well thought out decision on who is the best candidate. Atleti are joint top, though they have played two more games. Cant see him deciding whilst in the middle of a title run, he's gonna put everything into drawing out every ounce. Allegri is the same. Only options are Sampaoli who is unemployed or Conte whos an international manager already looking to return to club football. So if a manager is announced before May, you can bet it wont be Simeone or Allegri.

Exactly. MP was never a top class manager, that's not to say hes not good. just easily outclassed by the best. He may well do good at a Bayern or a PSG but that's because everything is on a plate. You have a team full of world class players and set them out to attack. That might be a recipe for success, but its a self sufficient recipe. It dosnt mater if the manager is Pellegrino or Enrique you will win more often than not. Chelsea are no such team. Its been more than 5 years since we can say that we have had more than 3 outfield players that are world class, that would get in most teams. Considering how many big European teams there are, I cant see us having a team with the likes of Carvalho, Makelele, Lampard, Drogba, Robben and A.Cole all at the same time. The board seems to want to do an Arsenal, and have a few world class players to pull the rest of the team up and be there or there abouts. Though I would love for us to do a Bayern or Madrid and have a first team of almost completely world class players, I cant see it with the board at the moment and Pellegrini does not suite that environment. Keep away from him or whip out the checkbook! Make sure the defence is the best in Europe with him as well Looking at realistic options, very happy with this. I cant actually decide my order of preference, it depends on the day lol. - Simeone will probably walk in an have us contenders again straight away. I'll agree his footballis similar to Mourinhos and there will be boring games, but that's a general similarity. I still think Simeone plays more attractive football than Jose because of the way they press, and that Diego's teams do have an inkling of how to attack when the have the ball. So the fact he isn't a gung ho, balls to the walls attacker doesn't put me off. Realistic though? he wont leave Atleti. - Allegri and Conte I just view as essentially the same. Granted, I knw little of both and what I do know is based on suppositions, but I have tried to find out as much as I can about them. Thanks to everyone who was helped shine light for those who had no idea about the guys. Choulo, I'm looking at you especially. The reason is see them essentially the same, is based on where I think they'll take the club and what they need. Neither need world class players throughout, nor a big budget and will still be competitive. That sounds lucrative. I don't think they will make us as competitive as Simeone, but that's because I think under Diego will have just as much chance to win the league as City do under Guardiola. Under the 2 Italians, I think we'll be title contenders but certainly not favourites. Being Italian, I'm intrigued at what tactical ideas they'll bring to the table, or some reason I cant quite explain, Italian managers seem to do well in general in the Premier League. Their football strikes me as horses for courses more than the other candidates, whether its frustrating Madrid over two legs, looking to dominate minnows in a home league match or getting the balance right in a Cup final or important league match. I think this quality is the one that makes these two stand out in terms of the capabilities we'd have in different situations. - Sampaoli seems to be the dark horse. Unkown in Europe, he caught the eye with an exciting UDC team and was then fast tracked to the Chilean national team. If the identity of the team is to take centre stage of silverware and competitiveness, I think hes our man. High press, without the suicidal high line of Bielsa or AVB, its a high octane style that would have me off my seat. There's something about his fast, direct and vertical attacking style which seems to transfer so well to English football that gives me hope we wont be incompetent in wining things either. Basically, none of them are bad options and id welcome them all and none stands out. Even when I'm feeling like just wanting to see an attacking team, I wouldn't say Sampaoli is the absolute stand out, I think Allegri or Conte could achieve that just to the same degree. Similarly, when I want us to focus on being competitive, I don't see Sampaoli as being hopeless. The guy won the Copa America with Chile! Sometimes, theres no reasoning in my mind. I just want Simeone because of the romanticism. Pep at city with the riches of footall and the diamonds of players. Jose at United, with prestige and history. Two juggernauts both in Manchester, you can already see the media acting as if that's the city the title belongs. In comes Diego Simeone. Chelsea not only cant compete with their financial strength, they don't seem to want to compete within their own means! So we bring in a man that makes a team greater than the sum of its parts and makes it a lion formidable enough to make the badge proud. Not only a team that can go head on with Pep and Jose time after time and get a result, but with a manager that finally brings some thunder back to the bridge, its been long enough. All I can say, I'm glad I'm not the one who has to decide (even if Simeone says no, how do you choose between Allegri, Conte and Sampaoli?)
-
Absolutely. Really, I couldn't care less how many youth we bring through, id much rather build a successful team. The end of Chelsea Football Club is not to bring through youngsters.
-
I think this is just a baseless rumour. By all accounts Sampaoli and Conte have been the bookies favourites and for good reason. Sampaoli is hot stuff and is free to join tomorrow if he wanted. Conte, too, is free to start after euros.
-
hazard on for matic? 15 minuts for him to make something.
-
yep. He should be a squad member for cup games, champions league group games and to come on in the last 20 minutes when the game has stretched. Hes not got the quality to be in the first 11.
-
I'm wondering when its time to consider players not good enough rather than just in poor form. Ivanovic and Matic stand out. The idea is starting to set that matic shouldn't be our number one DM next year, just cant see him hitting the heights we need him to hit from his first 12 months. Considering Mikel should be gone this summer, hopefully we'll get a shiny, capable midfield for next season. The midfield is literally the cornerstone of the team, a dominant duo enhances defence and attack. How I miss the days of Lampard/Essien/Ballack/Makelele. We should play a 4-3-3, drop cesc into midfield with matic and mikel and have all 3 deep. leave Costa and hazard up the pitch as close together and let willian help fabregas to bridge the midfield with the attack!
-
Remember it could be worse, we could still have that cancer mourinho
-
So Sampaoli is the one who won the company America with Chile. Plays very attractive, attacking football. Style seems to be that his teams defend with a high line and pressing furiously as a team, with past vertical football over the simple desire to have possession. Can anyone add anything or correct me on anything? The main issue seems to be that he hasn't got experience in Europe and apparently his club managerial record isn't a standout Conte to me, is a mystery. Anyone clued up about him? Does he have a style of play he likes? How did jive play under him and how are Italy playing under him? How much should national management affect his prospects with us, considering Sampaoli is in an opposite position where his national management is more impressive than his club achievements. If not those two, go all out for Potchettino.
-
Mourinho is your go to guy when things are bad? On quality scale of 1-10, how much is he to blame for the success of ISIS?
-
He's barely better than wenger. Our defence will be as crap as it is without the great attack he was blessed with at city and madrid.
-
That's because he had Ronaldo, kaka, benzema, Aguero, silva and Toure.
-
Sauce?
-
The board need to feel the heat too, the summer played a massive part. Terrible decision to go Sydney. Poor investment in the team

What did Costa do?
