The fact that he prefers Mikel to MATIC of all people, in my eyes, our second best player behind Hazard, is extremely worrying. Any midfielder will look bad eventually playing next to a defensive liability like Fabregas. Matic doesn't deserve to be dropped while guys like Oscar and Ivanovic keep their places. Hopefully, Guus figures this shit out quickly. You cannot bench Matic for Mikel.

You have your opinions about Matic (that you never miss an opportunity to express), I have mine. Matic is one of the best players in his position in the world. Because I'm not in the mood for back and forth, I'll just leave it at that.

I know Matic hasn't been playing that well, having to cover for Fabregas' lazy arse, for the most part so has looked dead on his feet. BUT...... Mikel should NEVER be playing ahead of him. Matic is WORLD CLASS. Mikel is average. Our midfield is pathetic right now. He contributes nothing to our attacks, unlike Matic. He is unambitious with the ball and useless without it. One good game vs Palace means nothing.

I know now isn't the time for this, but Loftus Cheek can/should be our Delle Alli. I've watched both these guys play together for the England U-19's and Ruben is in NO WAY inferior to Alli. In fact, he regularly outperformed Alli in the games I saw. Was incredibly mismanaged by Mourinho this season, was Ruben.

Eden has hardly ever got injured in his career. I think he was only ever injured once at Lille and prior to this season, twice for us. Now he's been injured twice in the space of a month. Maybe it's just wear and tear of playing too much football. No player has played more PL minutes than him since he joined us in 2012. Hopefully, a speedy recovery. I really miss the magic we've seen from THAT Hazard.
