It's something I pointed out in the past. He almost always plays badly against good teams, even on the rare occassions we play well against said teams.
-
We should be on the phone with Lyon trying to get Tolisso in ASAP.
-
I also long for the day when we aren't feeding off scraps in possession against any decent team. I hope Roman just watched that shit and the board pull their fingers out of their fucking asses. That starting line up is never good enough at the highest level (and Arsenal are far from the highest level). Really upset and it just totally ruined my day.

Excluding at home to a United team still finding their bearings in October and an Arsenal team we always boss at Stamford Bridge regardless of how poor we are, when have we not been utterly dominated in midfield when Matic partners Kante? Seriously, madness is repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Tottenham away and in the cup. Liverpool, Arsenal today, United away. It's just digusting to watch and I immediately lose interest in the match once I see that piss poor combination. Completely handicaps our attackers, and wingbacks because neither gets the ball on time or in good positions. I don't see how a great manager like Conte fails to recognize this. It's not like we've lost badly when Fabregas has started against this sort of opposition either! The awful decision to start Matic essentially set the pattern of the game and I really couldn't see us winning it after that 1st half. Reminscent to Tottenham away. Easy fame for Arsenal. Embarrasing.

Matic must have naked pictures of him stashed somewhere

When we start with Kante and Matic as our pivot we basically surrender control of the midfield and by extension the game to any strong team. Neither can pick out a forward pass or make quick decisions. Both need a bunch of touches to even release the ball. How many times are we going to be dominated by good teams when we play this duo and we keep repeating the same thing. Just in the last round of this competition, the same thing happened. Without a midfield, it's impossible to play football! This is embarrassing to watch and predictable. I don't even think Fabregas coming on now will produce the desired effect. The pattern of the game is already established. We have to admit Conte made a huge error starting Matic in this game.
-
Matic again absent minded losing the ball, the fuck face. Just fuck off from the club already, you're done.
-
How Fabregas hasn't started in this game despite his amazing form in the last few weeks, I'll never know.
-
Chalobah and we have one of the best central midfield playmakers in the league on our bench. Disappointed Conte went for the "pragmatic" option which is clearly backfiring now! We get dominated against every good team with that trash duo of Matic and Kante.
-
Matic a true midfield general. Chasing shadows against good players as usual

I don't see the big deal here. He's not a great goalscorer and he's not the creative force De Bruyne is. He's the heir apparent to Silva but it's more of a signing for the long term rather than one that will drastically boost the strength of their first XI. The main reason in my opinion why City were underwhelming was because they lacked goals in the first half of the season with Aguero being their only player to score more than 10+ goals. A lot of creativity but only one goalscorer. Gabriel Jesus in the 2nd half of the season has performed as expected and looks like a consistent goalscoring threat, despite being injured. Pep has also shown he's willing to play both Aguero and Jesus together. But if they sign both Walker and Mendy, I think it's time to start getting worried. Nevertheless, we still have a huge game to negotiate tomorrow. Once it's over though, no fucking around Granovskaia, Emenalo and co. Time to get to work.

Thanks for everything JT. Not just a LEGEND for me but also a HERO. Hopefully, he's back at this club as part of the coaching staff. A natural leader of men if there ever was one.

It's been an amazing season, the most satisfying (I think that's the best word) season I've witnessed to date after the disaster of last season. Take care guys/gals and KTBBFH forever!! Now, time to think about the FA cup and the next transfer window ---------------------------------------------------------- THREAD ----------------------------------------------------

93 POINTS 30 WINS FROM 38 GAMES, ALL CAPS BITCHES!! CONTE IS A GOD!

CHAMPIONNET OH EH OH EH OH OH!!!! BEST SEASON EVER, LOVE IT !!

I've seen him play many times. Nothing special, I'll rather have Mahrez. Way too inconsistent and has too many brainfarts/poor decision making moments. Actually, he's not better than Pedro or Willian, I don't care what his stats say (besides playing as a false 9 or whatever).

Hard to follow all the action here with so much work on my table and stuff to do. But i'll leave my two cents, most approriately on this thread Just want to say Antonio is the best thing to happen to Chelsea in the last 20 years besides Roman himself. He's utterly dominated the "league of managers" and left Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp and Pochettino in his wake. No touchline bans - No FA conspiracies - No dull football - No digs at other managers - No public shaming of players- No cult of personality, causing division among fans - The focus on the club not the manager. Some said we couldn't do better (and there was none better out there) than the one we had here before but look at us now! Antonio. Just brilliant man management, superb tactical acumen and unrivalled passion all season. He has only likeable traits. We have the best manager in the world right now in our possession. It's important Roman now does everything possible to bring in high calibre players that will IMPROVE the team. He deserves that. God bless you and your family Signore Conte and thanks for the 6th. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 (and the sweetest one I've witnessed to date, considering all the circumstances surrounding this season and the disaster of last).
