I judge a player on more than one season. He had the ability to become WC, but went for the money. As I stated before, I don't doubt his ability. His attitude (diving, play acting, etc) are the things that make me doubt him.
Robinho? Both meant to be the new Pele, both were stars for Santos, and both moved to Spain. Robinho came to England and flopped, so who's to say the same wouldn't happen to Neymar? Everything discussed is just opinions and assumptions. If Neymar continues to follow Robinho's path, this conversation might have some substance.
Negredo, Robinho, etc. Some fail, while others don't. Neymar's ability isn't in question, but his play acting and physicality are. Also, have you read the Oscar and Willian threads? They aren't exactly lighting the place up.
It's a strong, but fair opinion. From afar, Neymar doesn't have what it takes to survive with the physical aspect of the Prem. He would be a broken man.
I didn't know he had signed a contract prior to my first post, but I was just saying players sign contracts one minute, and leave the next. If we're going to break the bank for any French player, it should be for Pogba.
Neymar goes down because he KNOWS he'll most likely get the call. I personally don't think Neymar is as weak as most think, but goes down as he's used to getting the calls. Juan just seems too weak, full stop. However, my original disagreement with you was comparing both players. There's nothing that warrants it.
That is an assumptions based on nothing, but he would do better than Juan where it matters. Juan can't even beat a man, so it's like watching Willian all over again.
