Proving to be another poor loan move. He isn't even in Southampton's squad, and he didn't even play in their mauling against us. A recall has to be a cert at this point.
-
Martin just isn't cut out for this league. No idea why some PL clubs are keeping managers on for so long (Wolves, West Ham, Southampton, etc).
-
Arsenal's corner routine is a major issue. Like some sort of video game exploit.
-
Southampton have to be one of the worst PL sides I've seen in a while. That aside, a solid performance that should have ended in a double-figure scoreline. Jorgensen deserves some praise too on his first PL start; he made some crucial saves, especially one before Diasi scored. Liverpool surprisingly dropping points after Salah scored in the 85th min. Can United do us a favour as well?
-
Or rotation? Either way, I'm surprised by the number of changes despite facing Tottenham on the weekend. Lets hope those coming in deliver.
-
I could say the same about all our CBs, tbh. There's a mistake waiting to happen where all of them are concerned (Watkins could have had a few on another day). That's why having Silva was great at times for the composure we sorely miss when defending.

We are only in December. If he continues to deliver the goods, those noises will quiet down. Right now, I still don't see him as a starter, providing everyone is fit.

The perfect way to start the busiest month of the football calendar. We made a very good PL side look average at best & kept our first PL cleanseet at home this season. I've seen multiple articles over the last few months linking us with a move to Dorgu, so I'd imagine that could become a real possibility should Chilwell finally move on.

A frustrating performance from Jackson rather than a bad one. He could have easily had a hattrick today.

Mr All Rounder 😄

Great ball from Felix. Nkunku should be tucking chances like that away with ease.

Watching us try to play out from the back is a circus.

Madrid & PSG progression hopes are looking bleak.

I never mentioned that. I'm just comparing Sir Alex's tenure at United to that of Pep's; they aren't comparable, imo. Also, I haven't once slated Pep or his achievements. He's amongst the best around who have managed the top sides on the continent.
-
Are you really being serious now? How much has Pep actually spent over the last eight years, and how many charges are City contesting (which Pep has benefited from)? FYI, Sir Alex NEVER lost four on the bounce, let alone five. It all depends on how you want to look at things. There were more games per season till 94-95, and money was far less common (Blackburn were the only side that comes to mind that spent big to win their only PL title), meaning smart transfers and good management played a big role. You have to remember Sir Alex made United competitive across three different decades, which is something that is clearly forgotten by many. Winning CL titles is a completely different ball game where luck plays a much bigger role. He came across arguably the best footballing side in two other finals, so his record isn't as bad as you make it seem.
-
Webb started refereeing in 03, Sir Alex took over United in '86. What's the reason behind the 17 years prior? After 90-91, United finished within the top four 22 times, winning the league thirteen times. The ability to rebuild after losing key players and keep winning is unmatched.
-
This is more than a blip for City. Pep has never stayed at a club for this period of time and the cracks could be showing. What Sir Alex was able to do at United during his tenure was truly special. On a side note, our special home record will remain untouched.

An early game and one straight after an international break can always be tricky, so just getting the three points is all that matters. A nice little gap between us and those below. I have a feeling Arsenal will drop more points.
-
Is Levi going to be in the headlines again?
-
We finally get that second goal. Some comfort at last.
-
We all know that Vardy, even at 37, has the speed to worry our back line if given the opportunity against this group.
-
Leicester are so open. We need that second goal before any nonsense happens with this ref (where it really matters) or Sanchez does his own thing.
-
I have a number of concerns with that XI. The lack of width being the main one.
-
Marseille would at the right price.

I'm not criticising the player at all. His departure has worked out for him. My main criticism was Madrid's inability to give most young players a fair chance. They are desperate for a creative midfielder, but Guler has spent more time on the bench than on the pitch thus far.
